A simple recipe for delicious cookies with mayonnaise

The cookie recipe includes baking powder; it will make the dough soft and crumbly. However, if you follow everything exactly as it was before, then they baked with the addition of soda, which was extinguished with vinegar. Despite the fact that most brands of mayonnaise contain vinegar, there is not enough of it, so if you use baking soda, add a couple of drops of vinegar into a spoon before adding to the dough. By the way, in addition to the specified list of ingredients, you can use nuts, raisins, poppy seeds, and spicy spices (ginger, cinnamon) when preparing cookies.

What we need:

  • butter – 200 g;
  • mayonnaise – 200 g;
  • egg – 1 pc.;
  • powdered sugar – 150 g;
  • flour – 550-600 g;
  • baking powder – 1 tsp;
  • vanillin – 1 g;
  • salt - a pinch.

How to prepare dough for mayonnaise and bake cookies

  1. Cut the cooled butter into small cubes and pour into a bowl in which we will knead the dough. Leave the butter for 30-40 minutes at room temperature until it melts.

  2. Add mayonnaise to the softened butter, beat everything a little with a mixer to get a homogeneous mass.

  3. In a separate bowl, beat the egg along with powdered sugar and vanilla. To save money, instead of powder, you can take regular sugar and beat it with a blender until it becomes powdery. With powder, the cookies are more tender, they just melt in your mouth!

  4. Combine the beaten egg with the oil-mayonnaise mixture and beat again with a blender.

  5. Sift the flour along with baking powder and salt, add in parts to the main mixture.

  6. The correct dough remains sticky, but at the same time it is thick like rich country sour cream - if desired, you can take it with wet hands and form a ball out of it. It is important not to miss the moment; if the dough is too thick, the baked goods will turn out floury and dense. If you don’t add enough flour, then during baking the pieces will lose their shape and seem to melt.

  7. Using a pastry syringe or bag, shape the cookies. The dough is fatty, so it can be placed on a baking sheet with parchment without greasing it with oil.

  8. Bake for no longer than 15-20 minutes at 200 degrees.

By baking longer and at lower temperatures, the cookies become drier and crispier.

How to make “Oatmeal cookies with mayonnaise”

Prepare your ingredients.

Mix half the sugar, egg and cinnamon (or vanilla sugar).

Add softened butter, beat.

Add honey and mayonnaise to the dough and mix.

Add soda, remaining sugar, oatmeal, mix.

Add raisins and chopped dried apricots.

Add oatmeal, mix, let the dough sit for a while.

Form cookies and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment. This can be done with your hands or a spoon. The easiest way to do this is to use an ice cream scoop. Place cookies at a distance from each other. Bake cookies for 20 minutes at 180 degrees.

Another recipe. Now without butter and without margarine. For those who want to try cookies, but want to reduce their calorie content. This option can be called instant - in a hurry, since the preparation is very simple and does not require much effort. Besides mayonnaise, all you need to make these delicious homemade cookies is sugar, flour and an egg. Although the list of products is quite simple and economical, the baked goods turn out no worse than store-bought ones - tender, crumbly and very crispy.

Ingredients:

  • mayonnaise (from 61% fat) – 200 g;
  • flour – 1.8-2 cups (250 g each);
  • vanillin – 1 g;
  • chicken egg – 1 pc.;
  • sugar – 0.8-1 cups;
  • baking powder – 1 tsp;
  • cinnamon – 1 tsp.

How to make these cookies in a hurry

  1. Beat one egg along with sugar and vanilla. If the egg is large, then you can use one yolk.

  2. The presence of protein makes the cookies less crispy. Add mayonnaise (preferably with high fat content), beat thoroughly again.

  3. Lastly, add the sifted flour and baking powder. Instead of baking powder, you can add a little slaked soda to the dough.

  4. Mix the dough. It should not be too steep, but at the same time it should not stick to your hands.

  5. Roll out the dough into a thin layer and cut out figures from it. If there are no special molds, you can use a small glass or cut the cookies into squares.

  6. Lightly sprinkle the dough with sugar and cinnamon.

  7. Carefully transfer the cookies onto a baking sheet, greased or lined with parchment, and bake in an oven preheated to 200 degrees for about 15 minutes. If you cut it thickly, then it is better to reduce the temperature to 180 and cook longer. In this case, the cookies will be crispy, although if you like soft, melting ones, then you shouldn’t fry them too much.

Homemade cookies (for the frying pan)

These are very tasty cookies. To bake it you need a frying pan. I have one like this since Soviet times (borrowed from my mother). To make cookies you will need: flour - 3 cups butter - 100 grams margarine - 100 grams sugar - 1 cup egg - 3 pieces mayonnaise - 1 pack 220 ml soda - 1 teaspoon vinegar - 1 teaspoon

1. Pour the flour into a shallow bowl and add cold (not soft!) butter and margarine. Chop everything with a knife to obtain fine, uniform crumbs.

2. In another bowl, mix sugar, eggs and mayonnaise. Beat with a mixer until a homogeneous mass is formed.

3. Pour the beaten egg-mayonnaise mixture into a bowl with flour. Mix well (it is convenient to stir with a spoon). The dough should be thick and slightly sticky.

4. Heat the frying pan on the stove (you can use it not only on a gas stove, I have a ceramic pan and everything went fine). Place a spoonful of dough in the center of the hot pan and forcefully connect the parts of the pan. Fry on each side for 1-2 minutes depending on the heat level. At the beginning, the cookies take longer to fry, then the frying time should be reduced. Remove the finished cookies from the mold, break them into individual cookies and you can eat them.
