- Cut the onions very, very finely, into small cubes, as finely as you can. By the way, do you know how to cut onions so that the plates do not move apart and the cutting turns out neat? In both cases, the cubes will be even and of the required size.

Growing Leaf Radish
Leaf radishes grow best in the cooler months. If the summer is cool, these vegetables are grown all year round, but in regions with hot summers - only in spring or autumn.
The soil . It grows best in fertile, moisture-retentive soils with low to medium nitrogen content.
The soil for growing leaf radishes is prepared in the same way as for radishes or Chinese cabbage. Radish seeds do not have any special requirements for fertility and soil composition, but they actively respond to the application of fertilizers.
But it should be taken into account that with an overdose of nitrogen fertilizers, radish leaves are capable of accumulating nitrates, so when growing it, it is better to use complex mineral fertilizers as fertilizers, rather than fresh manure or chicken droppings.
Varieties. Since leaf radish is very little known among us. One variety is registered in the State Register of Breeding Achievements of the Russian Federation.
Salad radish Orient Express is an early ripening variety, from germination to cutting of greens 25-35 days. A rosette of leaves with a diameter of 20-30 cm. The leaves are green, juicy, tender, with a smooth edge, excellent taste, with a slight pungency, containing many vitamins and mineral salts. Used fresh in salads, sandwiches and other dishes. Sowing . When sown in spring on short daylight hours, leaf radishes bloom in 30–40 days. In summer, when daylight hours are maximum, it grows faster - in 20–25 days, but increases in small mass (only 8–12 leaves weighing 25–30 g).
When sown in summer-autumn, leaf radish does not bloom for quite a long time - almost two months, while producing large (12-16 leaves weighing up to 150 g) and high-quality plants, so the yield of leaf radish, depending on the sowing time, ranges from 2.5 to 8 kg/sq. m.
Leaf radish produces the greatest yield on light loamy or sandy loam soils. In crop rotation it is better to place it after cucumbers, tomatoes, legumes, carrots, and potatoes.
Leaf radish is usually grown with a single stem as an annual plant. Seeds are sown scattered or in grooves, spreading them every 10 cm. Young plants are thinned out so that the interval between them is 15 cm, and between rows - 25 cm.
Caring for leaf radishes is traditional for early-ripening cruciferous crops: weeding, regular watering, loosening the rows, protection from the cruciferous flea beetle (dusting with ash, refreshing watering, biological products).
Black radish salad
Ingredients:

RADISH SALAD WITH TOMATOES AND CUCUMBERS
1 radish, 3 tomatoes, 1 fresh cucumber, 1 medium onion, 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil, 1 tablespoon of 3% vinegar, parsley and dill, salt, pepper.
Peel the radish and grate it on a coarse grater, add finely chopped tomatoes, cucumber and onion, mix everything. Season the salad with salt and pepper, season with vegetable oil and vinegar, sprinkle with dill and parsley on top.
RADISH SALAD WITH APPLES AND CARROTS
1 radish, 1 carrot, 1 apple, 2-3 cloves of garlic, mayonnaise, herbs.
Wash the radish and carrots, peel and grate on a coarse grater. Add chopped garlic and thinly sliced apple. Season the salad with mayonnaise and sprinkle with herbs on top.
RADISH SALAD WITH CARROTS AND WALNUTS
1 radish, 1 small carrot, 6 walnuts, 2-3 cloves of garlic, juice of 1/2 lemon, 1/2 cup sour cream, salt to taste. Grate the peeled radishes and carrots on a fine grater. Add chopped walnut kernels and garlic. Mix everything, pour lemon juice over the salad, add salt, and add a little grated lemon zest. Then season with sour cream.
RADISH SALAD WITH Cottage Cheese and Nuts
1 medium-sized radish, a glass of cottage cheese, 1-2 tablespoons of sour cream, 5 walnuts, salt, sugar to taste.
Peel the radish and grate it on a coarse grater. Mix cottage cheese with sour cream and add it to the radish. Salt the salad, add sugar and crushed walnuts.
RADISH SALAD WITH MARINATED MUSHROOMS
1 small radish, a glass of pickled mushrooms, 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil, onion, salt to taste.
Peel the radish, wash it, chop it into strips and cover with cold water for 15 minutes. Wash the pickled mushrooms and cut into strips. Fry the radish in vegetable oil for 5-7 minutes, then cool and mix with mushrooms. Salt the salad, season with vegetable oil, garnish with onion rings.
RADISH AND BEET SALAD
1 medium radish, 2 medium beets, 1/2 cup lemon juice, sugar or honey to taste.
Peel the radishes and beets and grate them on a coarse grater. Add juice and season with sugar or honey.
RADISH SALAD WITH MAYONEISE
3-4 radishes, 2 medium-sized onions, a glass of sour cream or mayonnaise, salt, parsley and dill.
Peel the radish, rinse, grate. Add finely chopped onion, parsley and dill, salt, pour sour cream or mayonnaise, stir.
RADISH AND PICKLED CUCUMBER SALAD
3-4 radishes, 2 medium-sized pickled cucumbers, a tablespoon of sugar, 1/2 cup sour cream, salt to taste.
Peel the radish, wash it, grate it on a coarse grater. Peel the cucumbers and cut into small cubes. Mix prepared radishes and cucumbers, season with sour cream mixed with salt and sugar.
