7 rules of the Kremlin diet that everyone who is losing weight needs to know about

The essence of the Kremlin diet

The debate revolves around the weight loss diet invented by Dr. Atkins. A controversial option because some say that the diet is harmful to health, while others enthusiastically share their results. However, the positive reviews outweigh the positive reviews, and this system has gained thousands of fans. Celebrities and representatives of the Kremlin elite effectively lost weight on it, hence the name: the Kremlin diet, although it is also known as a protein diet for American astronauts, named after its inventor.

The essence of this nutritional system is that the consumption of carbohydrates is sharply limited and the body begins to take energy from what is easier to process - from fat. The basis of the diet is protein products of any fat content: meat of all types, fish, cottage cheese. The body will take the required carbohydrates from vegetables. Flour products, cereals, and sweets are prohibited. They can be consumed in limited quantities during the weight stabilization stage.

The main condition in this diet is to drink a lot of water, two liters a day, and eat bran. Water will help remove protein breakdown products without damaging the kidneys, and bran will cleanse the intestines. The Kremlin diet is simply a godsend for food lovers, because it even allows for fried and fatty foods, canned meat and fish, cheeses and other delicacies with a limited carbohydrate content. For meat eaters, this is paradise, but those with a sweet tooth will have to come to terms with the loss of sweets in order to gain a beautiful body.

Only the strong in spirit can endure this, or any other, diet. The inconvenience is that the usual sweets will no longer be on the menu, but you won’t have to go hungry. Kremlevka is not the usual restriction of portions during diets; you can and should eat in normal portions, but without overeating. Eating 5-6 times a day, according to all nutritionists without exception, starts the metabolism, and you should not skip meals.

This is a long-term nutrition system, almost a way of life, so you need to make a firm decision before starting a weight loss marathon. A few words about sports - some physical activity is desirable, but without fanaticism. The body should not experience stress; involve it in the process smoothly - walking, feasible exercises, dancing to lift your spirits.

Contraindications

Who should not lose weight on this diet? The following categories.

  1. For pregnant and lactating women , any diet is generally contraindicated for them, except for one or two fasting days a week, which a doctor may recommend to them. Moreover, these days they do not starve, but simply give their digestive system a rest, eating cottage cheese, dairy products, vegetables and fruits. If you are an expectant mother or breastfeeding a child, then never, ever go on a diet until you carry and feed the child. After all, from your restrictions and experiments with nutrition, your baby may lose something important for himself. Remember - the health of the child is more important than the mother’s waist.
  2. Children and teenagers. If a growing body is overweight, then you need to look for the cause of the metabolic failure, and not for methods of extreme weight loss. But it wouldn’t hurt to limit your children’s intake of sweets, bakery and confectionery products, soda, chips, crackers and other fast food items.
  3. People suffering from chronic diseases. The kidneys, gallbladder, heart and blood vessels will definitely not thank you. And depriving a patient with gastritis of viscous oatmeal, which has an enveloping effect, is simply a crime. If you have problems with digestion - intestines and pancreas are acting up, bile does not drain well, constipation or diarrhea often bother you, you have an ulcer or gastritis, then the diet should be prepared exclusively by a gastroenterologist, and not by amateur advice taken from the Internet.

Kremlin diet points table

All products are assigned Kremlin diet points (conventional units) or points, as you call it. Although the need to count and weigh something is tiring, here, unlike counting the calorie content of foods and dishes, the situation is simpler. One point is one gram of carbohydrates per 100 grams of product (unless otherwise noted). This information is contained on all product packaging. At the first stage of losing weight, your diet should contain no more than 20 grams of carbohydrates, which means you should choose products that will give a total of 20 points.

Diet stages Purpose of the stage Number of valid points
First stage. Induction Adaptation to diet 20 points
Second phase. Individual Reducing weight to ideal or desired weight Gradual addition of 5 points per week up to 40
Third stage. Control over the result. Determining the safe amount of carbohydrates, the last kilograms are gone. 60 points
Fourth stage The main thing is not to break down and gain it again. Festival of the stomach

  • Reishi mushroom - medicinal properties. Using Reishi Mushroom Tincture, Extract, or Tea to Treat Diseases
  • The leaves on the apple tree are curling, what should I do?

Advantages and disadvantages

Advantages:

  • quick weight loss effect;
  • there is no feeling of hunger during the day;
  • the diet is tolerated comfortably;
  • The diet contains cabbage and other vegetables rich in fiber - they help cleanse the intestines;
  • getting rid of cravings for certain foods - sweets, fast food, carbonated drinks;
  • There are no strict dietary restrictions.

Flaws:

  • the breakdown of protein produces a large amount of toxic nitrogenous compounds, leading to intoxication of the body;
  • a large load on the kidneys and other excretory systems, as a result of which urolithiasis and cholelithiasis, arterial hypertension, heart problems, and osteoporosis develop;
  • the need to constantly create a menu, counting points, and also weigh yourself regularly;
  • consumption of animal fats increases “bad” cholesterol, and also contributes to the formation of plaques in blood vessels and the development of atherosclerosis;
  • digestive problems, constipation;
  • quick return of lost kilograms;
  • male reproductive function noticeably suffers, problems do not appear immediately, but they can be quite sad;
  • unbalanced nutrition deprives the body of essential nutrients;
  • the diet is far from ideal, and the person ends up becoming its hostage, constantly carrying a table of points with him and scrupulously calculating the results.

Product table

The basis of the diet for active weight loss in the first and second stages is the products indicated in the table. Meat products and dishes made from them can be eaten in any quantity and as often as your appetite dictates, vegetables from time to time. However, there is no need to go beyond what is reasonable; there is no need to burden the body with extra calories. Ideally, the portion should be approximately the size of your palm and the same thickness. At subsequent stages, it is allowed to gradually introduce foods from the table of prohibited foods into the diet in small quantities.

Reviews and results

Reviews about the Kremlin diet are very contradictory. Some people praise her, some scold her, some are very disappointed, but judge for yourself.

  1. “I know a lot of people who lost weight on it, and now simply by limiting sweets, flour and fatty foods they maintain their weight and even lose a little more!”
  2. “I sat on it, I don’t understand why people are so intimidated by it? I lost 5 kg in 10 days, but I also twirled a hoop and did exercises for my abs. My blood sugar dropped and I taught myself not to eat so much sweets.”
  3. “I lost 7 kg on it, and then gained twice as much. It gives an interesting side effect - after it I couldn’t drink drinks with sugar for a long time, the taste seemed disgusting, it was almost impossible to swallow. Other people have written about this too.”
  4. “If you follow the Kremlin diet, you can lose 5-6 kg in a week, in a month and a half you can lose 8-15 kg, but no one has yet said that after finishing the diet you will always adhere to this norm. Many of those who sat on it, after finishing, began to quickly gain weight again, and it became much more impressive than it was before. And this refusal of sweets, which you then begin to replenish, is unlikely to benefit you, not only for your weight, but also for the condition of the body and your health in general.”
  5. “I lost 18 kg in 4 months, there were no special problems, but my kidneys hurt after the diet for some time, plus I was tormented by constipation.”
  6. “I sat on the Kremlin for 2 years. Was 74, now 59 kg. Lost 15 kg. But this was too much for me at 178 cm tall, and I began to allow myself a few forbidden foods. Now I can’t go back, I haven’t eaten sweets, starchy foods, or cereals for 6 years now, and the result is zero! Now my weight is 71 kg, all my jeans are too small.”
  7. “After the Kremlin, my sweat started to smell like cat urine. The doctor said that the kidneys and intestines were torn off. Now I'm restoring it. It would be better to eat kefir and salads. And Bonn soup."

Ready meals

If you think that this is a boring diet when you have to chew boiled unleavened meat and crunch on cabbage leaves, then you are mistaken. There is a lot of freedom for imagination when creating a menu - the dishes for the Kremlin diet are varied, satisfying and tasty. Any recipe can be adapted, calculated in advance and enjoy comfortable weight loss. To make life easier for those losing weight, the “cost” of some standard traditional dishes has already been calculated. When calculating, honestly take into account all the ingredients in the recipe, taking into account that the main weight of the dish is added by potatoes, cereals, and flour.

Kremlin diet from Vladimir Molodov

What to do in case of a breakdown

Adherents of the Kremlin diet recommend not to get upset and not engage in self-criticism. We are all human, we all make mistakes and often do stupid things. And if one fine or terrible day you allowed yourself to be weak, ate a piece of cake or a bowl of Olivier salad with a lot of mayonnaise, then it’s too late to bang your head against the wall - accept it as a gift of fate. The event has already happened, so why fray your nerves even more?

You shouldn’t quit the diet halfway and start overeating; you need to get out of it gradually so as not to completely ruin your health.

The next day, continue to follow your plan and try not to step on the scale for several days so as not to upset yourself with the extra 100 grams. If the weight still “grows”, then you should return to an earlier level of carbohydrate consumption.

Kremlin diet menu

When eating according to certain rules, you need to write out and calculate the nutrition plan for the next day in the evening. The menu of the Kremlin diet with points will not allow those losing weight to feel hungry, this is a classic of rational nutrition, and some combinations of dishes are similar to those served in restaurants, for example, steak with salad, cheese with wine, and never potatoes with cutlets. Serve your dish beautifully and enjoy the food on your plate.

Menu until 20

As already mentioned, at the first stage you need to stay within 20 points. Then smoothly move to 40 conventional units. An approximate menu of the Kremlin diet for 20 points is as follows:

Permitted and prohibited products

The following are strictly prohibited for use:

  • starchy vegetables - potatoes, corn, beans, green peas, radishes, turnips, Jerusalem artichoke, horseradish, parsley, celery;
  • bakery products;
  • some fruits, nuts, berries;
  • sweets;
  • cereals

Allowed:

  • lean meats - beef, rabbit, poultry fillet;
  • Fish and seafood;
  • cottage cheese and hard cheeses;
  • oils and fats;
  • vegetables - cabbage, tomatoes, cucumbers, eggplants, radishes, zucchini;
  • eggs;
  • nuts;
  • mushrooms.

It is better not to consume conditionally permitted sausages, frankfurters, ham and other industrially produced meat products, since their quality does not always correspond to what is desired. They usually contain large amounts of soy, starch, salt, flavor enhancers and other “nasties.”

What rules must be followed?

If you decide to follow this nutritional method, then you need to familiarize yourself with some of the Kremlevka rules:

  • Before starting the course, it is advisable to consult a doctor, since the Kremlin diet has contraindications.
  • You should not “fanatically” cut down on carbohydrates - it is better to stick to a limited diet.
  • To reduce the negative impact of the technique on the kidneys, increase the required minimum water consumption to 2 liters.
  • Don't ignore physical education.
  • Carefully read the labels on which the composition and calorie content of the product are written.
  • Eat only foods that are permitted and sometimes acceptable when following a diet.

It is advisable to take a complex of vitamins and minerals, since if you follow the “Kremlevka” there is a high probability of developing vitamin deficiency.

How to count points?

The table of points of the Kremlin diet for a person losing weight should always be at arm's length. It is simply unrealistic to remember all the numbers, especially in the first week, so you will have to arm yourself with kitchen scales and the specified list, where products are arranged into sections for convenience.

The table opposite each product indicates the number of points per 0.1 kg of it.

For example, to calculate how many points are contained in 150 g of tomatoes, you need 4 * 150/100. This makes 6 units. Using the same principle, you can calculate the number of points in 200 g of apples - 9.5 * 200/100 = 18 points. If you need to count, for example, a vegetable salad, then the points of each component are summed up.

To make life easier for those losing weight, there are tables that indicate the number of points in ready-made dishes.
