Step 1. First of all, you need to pickle the onions for the salad. Peel the onion, chop finely, and place in a bowl. Add salt, sugar and vinegar. And pour a small amount of hot water from the kettle (so that the onions are covered). Stir and leave for 10-15 minutes.

Step 2. Boil the chicken leg in salted water in advance, remove the skin and remove the bones. Cut the resulting meat into small pieces.

Step 3. Peel the boiled eggs and simply grate them on a coarse grater. You need to grate the cheese in the same way. Place all the ingredients separately from each other for now.

Step 4. If necessary, remove the stems of the tomatoes, then cut them into small cubes. It is advisable to use “meaty” tomatoes, which have more pulp and less juice.

Step 5. That's it, it's time to assemble the salad. To make the dish look more impressive, we will use a culinary ring (a mold without a bottom). Spread the chicken meat in the first layer. And lightly cover with mayonnaise.

Step 6. Drain the water from the onion, then place it evenly on top of the chicken.

Step 7. Now place a layer of grated whites and yolks on top of the onions. Lightly smooth with a spatula. We make a thin mesh of mayonnaise on top. Salt and pepper to taste.

Step 8. Now it’s the turn of the grated cheese - cover the eggs with it. We trim, smooth and again a little mayonnaise.

Step 9. Now there is the last layer of chopped tomatoes. We place the pieces themselves; there is no need to pour in the released juice. Salt as desired.

Step 10. That’s it, the salad layers are assembled, but it’s too early to serve. Cover with a bag or lid and place in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours. The salad should be well soaked.
