Ingredients:
- Minced meat – 800 g;
- Onion – 300 g;
- Carrots – 120 g;
- Rice – 180 g;
- Sliced tomatoes – 270 g;
- Salt – 3 tsp;
- Ground black pepper – 1 tsp;
- Bay leaf – 2 pcs.;
- Coriander – ½ tsp;
- Dill and parsley (dried) – 1 tsp;
- Ground paprika – 1 tsp;
- Water – 1 l;
- Wheat flour – 1 tbsp. l.;
- Granulated sugar – 1 tsp;
- Vegetable oil – 2 tbsp. l.
Cooking method:
- Bring 800 ml of water to a boil. Add the washed rice and cook for 10 minutes over medium heat. Meanwhile, cut the onion into small cubes.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan and sauté the onion in it for 3 minutes. Grate the carrots on a coarse grater.
- Add carrots to the browned onions, mix and add a spoonful of flour, salt, sugar, sweet paprika and chopped tomatoes. Simmer over medium heat for about 1 minute. At the end we pepper it.
- Pour 1 liter of water into the gravy, stir and bring to a boil. Throw in a couple of bay leaves and turn off the heat. Place minced meat on a plate and season with spices: salt, black pepper, coriander, dried herbs. We knead everything with our hands.
- Rinse the cooked rice with cold water. Add to the minced meat, knead and form balls with your hands about 7-8 cm in diameter. Place them on a baking sheet. Pour in the sauce and put in the oven for half an hour. Temperature range 180 degrees.
- Serve the meatballs with rice in sauce immediately after cooking. Pasta or any porridge are suitable as a side dish.
Meatballs with potatoes in the oven with gravy
Many cooks pre-fry the meatballs in vegetable oil and then stew them with the addition of gravy. When frying in a frying pan, the meat balls will absorb oil, which will affect the nutritional value of the dish. Proponents of a healthy diet prefer meatballs baked with potatoes in the oven. There will be no excess fat in such a treat, and they taste different from fried ones.

- fresh frozen mixed minced meat – 500-700 g;

Preparation:

Recipe: Minced meat in a large meat grinder (500g),
raw rice (100-130g),

Mix everything thoroughly. Place balls of minced meat into a baking dish. Size to suit your taste and color.
