Makeup in swamp shades is a fashionable option for this fall

It's time to discuss the most impressive and captivating makeup trends for the fall/winter 2020 season presented during the latest fashion show. They can all be described in one word – “diversity”. Stylists and designers presented many makeup options, ranging from a completely classic bias toward natural makeup to experimental and, at times, extravagant options, as in the case of the maximum “excess” of smoky makeup. We tried to classify fashion trends in makeup for fall/winter 2020, highlighting the main motives and selected more than 60 photos with illustrative examples.

Fall/Winter 2015-2016 trend No. 1: Natural makeup

We notice the designers' penchant for natural looks, so classic and airy, at almost every fashion show. This season, the highlight of such fashionable makeup is that naturalness was achieved using an incredible amount of makeup products. The result is truly impressive - such a natural and, at the same time, chic look. Vera Wang, Alexander Wang, Jason Wu, Victoria Beckham, Diane Von Furstenberg, Jil Sander, Dolce & Gabbana, Tommy Hilfiger, Giambattista Valli, Lacoste and Michael Kors presented excellent examples of this trend during the show. The main accent was pink lips and peach blush, which would also look great as a wedding makeup option. One can also notice a certain tendency towards aristocratic pallor. An example of such make-up was the Dion Lee collection. Edun and Prabal Gurung also found a great way to create natural makeup (see photo). By the way, natural beauty will be popular in the coming year. Fashionable makeup 2020 in nude style is the main trend of the year.

Fashionable blush

Even skin tone and healthy complexion are always at the peak of popularity. If you have beautiful cheekbones, then highlight them with bronzers like Versace. If you have freckles on your face, then do not mask them with foundation, but rather emphasize the brightness of your face with peach blush like Roberto Cavalli, Stella McCartney. Considering that natural makeup is in fashion, decorative cosmetics for facial skin should be used sparingly. Highlight your cheeks with pink blush. This makeup will look romantic and gentle. Use makeup to highlight your natural beauty. Love yourself for who you are.

Fall/Winter 2015-2016 trend #2: Futuristic and Punk Trends

This is the next notable trend we spotted at the fashion show. Thus, the Donna Karan collection was the most specific punk makeup option. As for Creatures of the Wind, the influence of Star Wars is felt here. Alexander McQueen and Rodarte also preferred similar images.

Unusual arrows and graphic Cat Eye

This season, makeup artists have outdone themselves and presented a completely new interpretation of arrows. You can notice not only arrows of all sizes, colors and designs, but even their non-cosmetic version. For example, Fendi designers used leather and satin for their work.

The “Cat Look” makeup for the spring-summer season is presented not only in black, but also in white, pastel and even bold neon shades. If bright colors are not an option for you, then you can experiment with a white pencil to be on trend.

Creative, dramatic, bold and bright eye makeup could be seen at Givenchy and Max Mara fashion shows.

Autumn/winter 2015-2016 trend No. 4: Eastern ethnic motifs

This is another trend that we often see at fashion shows. The emphasis in this makeup is the eyes: eyeliner borders the entire contour of the eyes and complements the bright shadows that are applied to the entire moving eyelid up to the eyebrow line. However, the rest of the face remains practically untouched. Bibhu Mohapatra, Donna Karan and Nicole Miller presented some great examples of how to do similar fashionable makeup , you can see them in the photo.

Eyebrow makeup

Eyebrow makeup is nothing new. Wide, thick eyebrows are in fashion. Making eyebrows thick and strong is difficult. To do this, hairs need to be nourished daily. If you carry out eyebrow correction yourself, then pluck only the lower hairs. Do not use special gels to style your eyebrows, as natural eyebrows are in fashion this year. In the photo below you will see eyebrow makeup from makeup artists of the brands Bottega Veneta, Emilio Pucci, Giorgio Armani, Roberto Cavalli, Versace. But Prada suggests creating wide eyebrows using a pencil one tone darker than the eyebrows. Eyebrows should be drawn on from above.

The current trend is thick and full eyebrows.

Autumn/winter 2015-2016 trend No. 5: When it comes to the eyes, choose arrows!

In this fashion show, many designers preferred arrows of a wide variety of shapes and colors. They have successfully modernized this classic make-up, creating modern and incredible versions. Thus, Carolina Herrera models came out with thin, barely noticeable lines, Mara Hoffman was inspired by Egyptian motifs, Zac Posen offered another beautiful graphic option. Bright nuances from Marc by Marc Jacobs, the key feature of the Carmen Marc Valvo models were double hands, and the Cushnie et Ochs collection featured classic hands in the spirit of Brigitte Bordeaux. If we talk about color accents, then you should pay attention to the options from Badgley Mischka, and the incredibly stylish solution from Rag & Bone.

Fall/Winter 2015-2016 trend #6: Cat eyes? Yes!

When we talk about winged eyeliner, we can't help but come up with the cat eye effect. And we see that this incredibly feminine and mystical makeup is becoming the main trend of the coming season. We see the most memorable interpretations of this trend in the works of Karen Walker, Simonetta Ravizza, Cristiano Siriano, Jean Paul Gaultier and Roccobarocco. Arrows are a great option for both daytime and evening makeup.

Autumn/winter 2015-2016 trend No. 8: The favorite smoky eye effect was not ignored

The smoky eye effect couldn't be missed. However, several ultra-fresh interpretations have emerged and the most innovative approach in terms of shape and color, and combination in general. First of all, we draw your attention to the image created by Richard Chai - a mysterious, with a slight bias towards naturalness, an option replete with silver and blue shadows. An everyday option from Derek Lam, which creates an interesting look by highlighting only the lower eyelid with color. A completely opposite and extremely feminine and sophisticated look is created by Altuzarra and Naeem Khan, focusing on pale yellow and golden shadows. For a classic look, check out the collections of House of Holland, Tom Ford and Topshop. You'll find smoother accents at Paul Smith, Burberry, David Koma and Issa.

Fashionable makeup for every day 2020

Nowadays, girls follow fashion changes not only in clothes and shoes; a true fashionista should have everything on top - even makeup. What kind of daily makeup will be fashionable in 2020 – we’ll look at it in this article.

The main novelty offered by makeup artists in 2020 will be wide eyebrows, so lovers of thin eyebrows will have to forget about them - they are completely out of trend now. But don’t forget about accuracy; wide eyebrows should be in perfect, well-groomed condition. Use tweezers and special pencils to make your eyebrows look fashionable, not scary. So if your eyebrows are wide, then you are lucky, and if nature has deprived you, then you can carefully fill in your eyebrows.

To make makeup fashionable this year, don’t forget about arrows. The arrows can be different, made with pencils, shadows and liners, the main thing is that they suit your image and clothes. Eyeliner is a great way to enlarge the eye, make the eye shape almond-shaped, and it does not take much time to draw arrows, so this makeup is ideal for every day.

Nude style makeup is now fashionable for everyday makeup. Makeup artists began to use this type of makeup quite recently, but it has already gained a foothold among fashionistas and is very popular. So if you love neutral colors in makeup, now is your time. Neutral makeup is also convenient for every day, because it looks calm and not provocative. But don’t forget, if you use nude makeup, that your skin tone should be perfectly even. No bruises under the eyes or minor skin imperfections should be visible; all skin irregularities should be carefully hidden.

Another type of makeup that is fashionable this year is monochrome makeup. This is a type of makeup when all the cosmetics on the face are applied in the same color scheme, mainly pink and brown shades.

Natural lip shades are now in fashion; red tones have faded into the background. But we choose light natural lipstick colors that are matte, without shine or pearlescent. Gray, metallic shadows are also at the peak of popularity. Makeup artists recommend applying eyeshadow not only to the upper, but also to the lower eyelid, and no longer using any eye cosmetics other than mascara.

The type of makeup with an emphasis on the eyes is also fashionable. In this case, smokey eye makeup works well. But this makeup doesn't have to be gray or black this year, use bold blue, purple and green pencils and shadows. With this type of makeup, lips should not stand out.

We have described several types of daily makeup in 2020, which one to choose is up to you, the main thing is not to forget that good makeup requires high-quality cosmetics!

Fall/Winter 2015-2016 trend #9: Blue accents

Speaking about the variety of color accents, we first of all want to talk about bluish shades, which often appeared in the makeup of models on the catwalk. This echo of the 90s looks very impressive for the coming season. The most memorable and creative ideas for placing accents in blue shades are offered by Temperley London and Giles, their options for the smoky eye effect are especially noteworthy. Cynthia Rowley also offers an interesting combination of blue shades and arrows. The same thing was presented in the Kenzo show. Christian Dior creates a more massive fashion makeup look, heavy on glitter. The highlight of the Marchesa models are the rounded lines running towards the upper eyelid.

Beautiful New Year's makeup 2020 with your own hands - easy!

Now we will describe to you step by step how to create luxurious makeup for the new year 2020 at home without the help of a makeup artist.

  1. Thoroughly cleanse the skin of the face and apply foundation under makeup. Now you can start adding beauty.
  2. The foundation on the face should not stand out, so we pass a puff of powder over the face, masking age spots and unevenness.
  3. Using shadows or a white pencil, carefully highlight the inner corner of the eyes. Now we apply shadows, using 2 or 3 combined colors. When applying shadows, take into account the fact that the closer to the upper part of the eyebrows, the lighter the shade should be.
  4. Blend the shadows with a puff or brush. It's time to point the arrows. The scheme is standard, as with regular makeup - first make arrows with a black liquid pencil, drawing a thin line from the inner corners to the outer ones, gradually drawing the arrow beyond the eye area. If possible, use festive mascara with glitter. And if you want to stick to the classics, then simply paint your eyelashes with two layers of black mascara.
  5. On the cheekbones, with a large brush, apply blush in a tone that matches your skin color. Shading.
  6. Now it's time for lipstick. Outline the lip line with a colored pencil, one shade darker than the lipstick color. If you already have bright makeup on your eyes, then don’t put a strong emphasis on your lips. You can highlight them slightly in undertones: sand, pink, golden plum or delicate chocolate. However, if you decide on modest eye makeup, then you can use a more provocative lipstick. For example, such as red, cherry, dark chocolate.

Beautiful and fashionable makeup for the New Year 2020 is ready! Have an unforgettable evening in the year of the Sheep and Goat!

Yes, but what about the New Year's hairstyle? The hairstyle should match your outfit and harmonize well with your manicure for the New Year. A solid New Year's look is your main task if you want to look impeccable, so take into account all the little things. Does the hairpin on your hair match your jewelry, and does the hairstyle match the neckline of your New Year's dress?

Fall/Winter 2015-2016 trend #10: Pink – for maximum efficiency and mystery!

Speaking about the variety of colors, we move on to discussing pink shades, which also became an important aspect in the images presented in the photo . Despite the slight "flame" effect they produce, especially when paired with fair skin tones, these accents are a great alternative for creating a fresh look. You can see this in the work of Jonathan Saunders and Julien Macdonald. Here again, the smoky eye effect plays an important role in showcasing the charm of pink shades.

Elegant lip makeup

Red lips have gone out of fashion this year. Although bright bloody shades can be used to create an evening look. And for daytime lip makeup, delicate light-colored lipsticks are suitable. Transparent lip glosses with reflective particles or glitter are at the peak of popularity. Delicately colored lips are presented by makeup artists from the houses of Bottega Veneta, Emilio Pucci, Roberto Cavalli. A great summer option is lipstick that matches your skin tone and blush. Light lips without contour pencils are presented by makeup artists from fashion houses Giorgio Armani and Lanvin.

Photo: delicate and pastel colors are especially relevant.

Autumn/winter 2015-2016 trend No. 11: “Ombre” and “Smokey”

Speaking of interesting interpretations, we cannot overlook the ombre technique combined with the smoky eye effect. The most interesting interpretations in this area were presented by Ashish, Chanel, House of Holland and John Rocha. Ombre lips can also look impressive.

Fall/winter 2015-2016 trend #12: Lovely lilac!

Despite the variety of colors and shades in the makeup of models, lilac conquered the podium. His charm and elegance wins hearts. Take cues from Burberry Prorsum, Chloe and Diane von Furstenberg and enjoy the mesmerizing effect of your look! This makeup can be perfectly complemented with a purple manicure.

Purple eyelids

Purple color will instantly make your look expressive. It is the color of spiritual awareness, physical and mental healing, strength and abundance, but at the same time vanity, extravagance and individualism.

Dramatic purple eye makeup that's perfect for a spring night has been spotted on the Vera Wang runway. Romantic and subtle lavender shades were chosen by Derek Lam makeup artists. This minimalistic makeup will go perfectly with everyday clothes. This shade is ideal for blue and brown eyes.

Fall/Winter 2015-2016 trend No. 14: Twiggy-style eyelashes

Expressive eyelashes are one of the main accents of this season. Stylists, inspired by Twiggy's version of retro makeup, managed to create unusual images. The bottom lashes are just as full as the top lashes are a little clumpy, and overall it's a fragile, sweet look. Pay attention to models from Custo, Barcelona Rochas, Prada, Marco de Vincenzo, Saint Laurent, Gucci, Maxime Simoens.

Eyes: metallic shadows

Shadows with a metallic effect - from 3D to mirror - add depth to the look and make the appearance mysterious and futuristic. Eyeshadows with a metallic sheen should be used with bright lighting in mind: it is in such conditions that they will show everything they are capable of. It's important to remember that glitter is not the same as glitter: it's not a disco makeup look, and it won't look tacky if you wear it for work.

Fall/Winter 2015-2016 trend No. 15: Eyebrows: expressive and cool

Evening makeup 2020

Evening makeup can also be natural. An eye liner will transform a simple make-up and make it more intense. It is worth noting that this season eye makeup, complemented by winged wings, is especially popular. Makeup artists offer various options for “arrows”: single, double, curly, wide, careless and perfectly even. “Arrows” in combination with filigree patterns resemble tattooing and are distinguished by their extraordinary beauty. Depending on the main color of the makeup, such designs on the upper eyelid can look gothic and mysterious or exciting oriental. Eye makeup in the Egyptian style, complemented by dark “arrows”, or laconic smoky-eyes, touched by a thin liner - all this will be equally appropriate in the makeup of the fall-winter 2015 2016 season.

As for the unfading smoky-eyes, this fall makeup artists suggest trying smoky makeup in light colors. Silver and blue-gray eye makeup dominate the fashion catwalk. Smoky-eyes in brown tones, as well as eye makeup in various shades of green will delight lovers of bright makeup. The main rule is that smoky eyes must be a light shade, regardless of the chosen color. You can experiment with the palette, combining light shades of eye shadow of different colors. Gradient transitions, attractive shine and the absence of clear contours will make smoky makeup truly stylish and original. And the look will be completed with the same trendy winged eyeliner and a light touch in the form of shimmering shadows on the inner corner of the eyelid.
