To be honest, I had rather vague ideas about the Yves Saint Laurent brand. Long ago, when I was a student, I had Parisienne eau de toilette, which I really liked, and in the spring of 2020 I bought a delicate coral blush, which I use with pleasure, and pleasant micellar water. Such a superficial acquaintance with the brand left me with the impression that Yves Saint Laurent is almost a cute (I hate this word) and delicate brand among luxury brands. But when I was browsing the Internet a few hours before makeup, it turned out that Yves Saint Laurent is the most daring and rebellious

luxury brand. Boldness as such does not frighten me at all, quite the contrary, if we are talking about beautiful, elegant audacity, like Chanel. But here everything turned out differently...

I’m just used to the fact that the Chanel matte lipstick I have doesn’t dry out my lips and I thought it would be the same this time.

To summarize, I can say that I did not like the makeup and the reason for this, first of all, is that I was not familiar enough with the brand, its philosophy and worldview. The Yves Saint Laurent brand turned out to be not at all gentle and cute, but a real rebel. I love both audacity and rebellion, but still in softer and more elegant forms, for example, like in Chanel. And to create delicate looks, I always have my favorite Givenchy.

This was the first and so far only professional makeup, after which I didn’t buy anything for myself and washed it off as soon as I returned home.

But, in any case, I’m glad to have this experience and it was very interesting for me to get to know the brand.
