There are several key points in wedding makeup: palette, placement of accents and, of course, relevance. Today, the trend is lilac, violet and so-called “dusty” shades with a cold undertone. At the same time, as for the red color, here, on the contrary, warm tones have remained relevant for quite a long time, which seem to be in contrast to the general range.
Modern makeup is built around one shade - this is the popular trend: all makeup with one product. And here it is important that the face does not lose volume and looks sculpted, so the intensity of application needs to be varied: for example, heavier on the eyes, lighter on the lips and very light on the apples of the cheeks.
Strobing does not lose ground either - well-drawn highlights prevent the face from looking flat, and a light glow, especially created using a wet technique, gives the feeling of polished porcelain skin. You can use metallic pigment as a highlighter, and it is better to apply it with a damp brush or sponge.
For wedding makeup, many makeup artists choose matte lipsticks. I appreciate this product for its durability, but it has one big drawback - the image loses its sparkle and gloss. That's why I use a long-lasting matte pigment with a creamy texture, on top of which I apply gloss for a fashionable glossy effect.
COLOR OF THE SEASON
The main advantage of dusty pink shades is that they do all the work for us: for example, they look darker in the crease of the upper eyelid, and lighter in the center of the eyelid. It seems as if we used several colors at once, although in fact it is the effect of a natural shadow, due to which volume is created and the eyes look more expressive. Another undoubted advantage is the proximity to natural skin tones, thanks to which these colors look so natural.
ABOUT STEREOTYPES IN WEDDING MAKEUP
It is generally accepted that black should not be used in wedding makeup. It is possible and necessary! Question: in what quantity? You can use black to draw the space between the eyelashes - this technique correctly emphasizes the shape of the eyes and looks very discreet, or you can use it to create arrows: at the same time, the lower eyelid should remain untouched so that the makeup does not look heavy.
False eyelashes, like eyelash extensions, are absolute anti-trends for 2020. If necessary, light bunches can be used to add thickness. Eyebrows should be well-groomed, but not too bright, so as not to attract unnecessary attention to yourself - now this is the most common mistake.
Not all long-lasting foundations provide dense coverage with a “mask” effect; it’s just important to follow the rules for applying them. Pay attention to liquid foundations, on the packaging of which you can see the inscription long wear, or “24 hours of durability.” Such products are finely shaded with a fluffy synthetic brush - the softer the bristles, the thinner the coating. At the same time, they mask imperfections quite well and last a long time. Advice:
be sure to fix the tone. I use a setting spray as a primer to help the foundation adhere better to the skin, then I apply a clear setting powder to the T-zone, and then spray again all over my face as a final touch.
MONOCHROME
This makeup in shades of dusty rose is ideal for those who do not really like to wear makeup in everyday life. A romantic image of a surfer girl, especially relevant for a beach wedding. As a rule, makeup starts with tone, but it was important for me not to overload my face, so I just applied a fixing spray. Next, I applied a dusty rose pigment to the eyelid and added a little chocolate to the outer corner to visually lift it and slightly elongate the eyes. The result was a natural shadow effect, almost invisible. Due to the reddishness present in the dusty rose shade, many fear that the eyes may appear bloodshot. To avoid this, draw a pearly highlight using metallic pigment in the inner corner of the eye and carefully, from the very roots, paint over the eyelashes with black mascara.
For this makeup look, I left my lower lashes untouched and only lightly combed my eyebrows. I applied the tone locally: around the lips, slightly highlighting the contour, around the wings of the nose and added a little concealer to the under-eye area.
I used the same pigment used for eye makeup to create a light blush, and also applied it to my lips over a moisturizing mask. Using metallic pigment, I added a little shine to my cheekbones and set my makeup with a setting spray to make it last longer.
SMOKY ICE
Very gentle smoky eyes in lilac tones. There is one secret here: when the eye is open, the volume of coverage of the upper eyelid is equal to the volume of the lower one. Therefore, in this type of makeup, it is very important not to be shy and paint the lower eyelid a little wider, so that you get the effect of large and expressive eyes, and the smokey eyes seem light. I used black pigment to outline the upper and lower lines of the mucous membrane - this gave the eye a clear shape, and the look itself became a little cat-like. For lip makeup, I mixed a clear gloss with a metallic pigment. Despite the fact that our eye makeup is matte, we have a very relevant contrast of textures - thanks to this technique, smoky eyes do not look heavy and the image appears crystal clear. Such a striking look requires a sculpted face, so I adjusted the shape of the nose, making it visually neater, and highlighted the cheekbones. I also corrected my eyebrows, lengthening them slightly.
ARROWS
Makeup with an emphasis on winged eyes, in dusty pink and lilac tones. I drew quite bright graphic arrows, leaving the lower eyelid untouched - except that I slightly painted the eyelashes for volume. To soften the black arrows, a metallic pigment was applied over them and onto the entire moving eyelid. To create the highlights, I used a pearl shade - it perfectly supports the dusty pink and lilac tones, and also slightly highlights these colors, making them more complementary to the skin and providing a beautiful glow. I also used my favorite shade Dusty Rose on my lips, this time covering it with a clear gloss. In this case, matte will look beautiful, so the choice is yours. The graphic nature of this makeup implies a corset dress or a clearly defined cut and, of course, the grandeur and formality of the event.

I haven’t been to the Cosmetist for a while, and all because I took a makeup training course at Krygina Beauty Week. The intensive week of makeup and motivational practices is over, and now I want to share with you my opinion about this course.
I think Elena Krygina needs no introduction. This self-made woman is known in Russia thanks to her videos on YouTube, which made her famous as a beauty blogger. But besides this, she is primarily a makeup artist, the owner of a beauty studio in Moscow, Krygina Studio, and a few years ago she released her first line of decorative cosmetics, Krygina Cosmetics. I have been following Elena since 2013, I am impressed by her personality, thanks to her YouTube channel I learned a lot about cosmetics and personal care, moreover, she and I are practically fellow countrymen: she is from Surgut, and I am from Tyumen - and all this is Tyumen an area that makes me happy. So when Elena announced a weekly beauty course on her Instagram account, I rushed to purchase it.
The course lasts 7 days in the format of online broadcasts on a private Instagram account. During the day there are two classes: one practical on makeup and personal care, the other motivational. During broadcasts, you can write down basic information in your notebook/notebook/diary, and you can also practice makeup with Elena. Below I will tell you in detail about each lesson of the course and what I learned from it specifically for myself.
Day 1.
All about basic skin care.
As part of this lesson, we examined the stages of cleansing, toning and moisturizing facial skin. Yes, you can say that basic information can be found in any open sources, but some nuances and techniques for skin care, techniques for applying this or that product were new to me personally. Here are just a few examples of what I learned: it is better not to use hydrophilic balm or oil on the eyes, it is better to apply cleansing milk with your fingertips, and not, as everyone is used to, with cotton pads, and also why it is advisable to refuse washing with running water (I have been trying for a long time to switch to this method and now I know how best to do it).
Motivation classes, as I called them for myself, in principle, cannot fit into the format of one post. Since this is a huge layer of information, and most importantly, Elena’s life experience, which she shared with us. Here I just want to indicate the names of the practices and the approximate direction of the conversation.

As part of this lesson, Elena talked about how any familiar, everyday things can be done beautifully and lift your spirits even on the gloomiest day. Why wait for guests when you can eat from a beautiful set here and now, why put cosmetics in a distant drawer when you can put on your makeup today. And everything like that.

As part of this lesson, we looked at the main types of foundation: BB and CC creams, fluids, etc. What are their differences and application features, we learned how to choose your tone and what tools to use.

Here we learned how important it is to devote precious minutes only to ourselves in the morning and evening. It's no secret that starting the day right is the key to success. And an evening spent without information noise = a restful sleep. After this lesson, I took a different look at my social media habits. networks in the morning and before bed. In the two weeks that I have been living according to the new schedule that I set for myself during Elena’s course, my sleep has returned to normal.
