Makeup Mistakes That Will Make Any Look Look Cheap

Anti-aging eye makeup. Instructions and photos

The covers of glossy magazines, television programs and shows are full of young, petite beauties. Beauty salons and medical institutions constantly offer women their services for facial and body rejuvenation. But who said that this actually brings happiness?

You can chase youth, wear bright clothes, get Botox injections, get hair extensions, but this will not bring proper satisfaction. This is because there will be constant haste, confusion, anxiety and dissatisfaction with oneself in the soul. You can simply stop enjoying life, loving it for what it is.

There are many options for acupressure massage today, but one of the most famous is the Japanese shiatsu/shiatsu massage or acupressure (written as shiatsu, which literally means “finger pressure”).

It is believed that active points are distributed throughout the body, including the face. Therefore, the relaxing shiatsu massage technique has established itself as a highly effective cosmetic procedure.

It is not surprising that the use of the shiatsu technique has a beneficial effect on the body. Modern medicine explains this by the fact that when pressing on the corresponding points on the skin of the face, blood and lymphatic vessels are stimulated, and metabolism improves. As a result, after just a few treatments of a relaxing shiatsu massage, skin firmness improves, small facial wrinkles, swelling and dark circles under the eyes disappear. For more information about the Shiatsu acupressure technique, see Shiatsu: acupressure of the skin around the eyes.

The maximum that is required for the procedure is massage oil or an inexpensive eye cream that matches your skin type.

Around each eye there are at least 10 active shiatsu points, pressing on which helps restore vision and increase its sharpness. However, massaging the area around the eyes allows you to fight not only vision problems, but also a number of other ailments. For example, just 10 minutes a day of acupressure on certain points around the eyes can relieve you of dark circles and bags under the eyes.

Step 1 (point A): Place your fingers in the recess of the inner upper protrusion of the eye sockets. Using the pads of your thumbs, press on points A.

Some people feel pain when pressed. This means that the canal is clogged and waste has accumulated in the tissues. If the pain is barely bearable, lighten the pressure slightly. Massage the points, counting to 10. Remove your fingers.

Repeat the procedure 3 times.

Step 2 (point B): Using the pads of your index fingers, press on point B, located in the depression in the middle of the lower protrusion of the eye socket (in the middle).

Press on the bone, not on soft tissue! Massage the points, counting to 10. Remove your fingers from the points.

Repeat the procedure 3 times.

Step 3 (point C): Move your index fingers to the C points along the lower eyelid to the outer corner of the lower ridge of the eye sockets. Press on them and massage for 10 seconds.

Remove your fingers from the points and repeat the technique 3 times.

Step 4 (point D): Using the pads of your middle or thumbs, press the D points on the outer corner of the upper ridge of the eye sockets.

Massage using pressure for 10 seconds.

Remove your fingers from your face and repeat the technique 3 times.

Step 5 (point E): Using the pads of your middle fingers, press on the E points located in the depression at the end of the eyebrow (NOT on the temple!).

Massage with pressure for 10 seconds. Remove your fingers from your face.

Repeat the procedure 3 times.

Step 6: Rub your palms intensively until you feel a warm sensation. Close your eyes and place warm palms on them without pressing (if necessary, use your right hand to partially cover your left hand).

Hold your palms together while counting to 10.

Repeat 3 times to feel the warmth of your hands on your eyes.

Step 7: Using the pads of your index, middle and ring fingers, lightly massage the area around your eyes.

The massage is performed along the bones around the eyes in a circular motion, starting from the inner corners close to the nose. Then up the bridge of the nose, along the eyebrows along the superciliary arch to the temples. Next, follow the lower ridges of the eye socket to the nose.

Repeat this movement 10 times. Let go.

Repeat the cycle 2 times.

Notes

  • Massage strictly on the indicated points.
  • This massage activates the outflow of lymph. If the tissues are too clogged with waste, the clarity of vision may be slightly blurred. This is normal and will pass quickly.
  • If the pain is particularly intense at certain points, it is not necessary to apply strong pressure. It is enough to apply moderate pressure on these points to the limit of tolerance.
  • For a final massage of the eye area, use any suitable massage oil.

What to Avoid When Doing Anti-Aging Makeup

Very often, women, seeing age-related changes on their faces, rush from one extreme to another. Unfortunately, there are a lot of such cases. Some ladies try to do bright make-up, thereby expressing a protest against the passing of youth. Should not be doing that!

Accept your years with dignity, make-up and clothes should be elegant and sophisticated. After all, you are a successful, wise, noble woman!

But fortunately, the beauty and fashion industry is trying to offer middle-aged ladies a much larger selection of products than what was available before. Therefore, choosing the right shade of lipstick or eye shadow is now not difficult.

What to avoid:

  • You should not make too wide, coal-black arrows. Otherwise, they will form a dark spot on the eyelid, and the look will become heavy;
  • Avoid thick, wide and bright eyebrows. A shape that will perfectly complement your look - with a slight curve. This will help make your look more open. Pay attention to the “tail” of the eyebrow; if it is lowered, the gaze will be sad. Try to lift your ponytail up a little and you will notice that you have a fresh, attractive look!

How to create bags under the eyes using Korean-style makeup

Using decorative cosmetics is considered the simplest and most popular way to change your image. To create makeup with the effect of “laughing eyes,” shadows, a dark pencil, and concealer are used. There are several application techniques, but before you start creating bags, you need to make your facial skin perfectly smooth. This is done using a base and foundation. If there are pronounced bruises under the eyes, then they need to be “removed” using concealer.

After this, you can start working on the bags themselves, so that they look like Korean women’s. The technique is somewhat different depending on what kind of makeup you are creating - light everyday, or brighter, evening.

Everyday Makeup Bags

When creating everyday makeup, it is enough to apply foundation, highlight the eyes with brown or gray eyeliner, and slightly highlight the eyebrows.

Next you will need to do the following:

  • Apply light, preferably liquid shadows to the lower eyelid. It is recommended to use milky, white or light beige color.
  • Blend the product thoroughly using a special brush.
  • Then, using the applicator, draw a thin line with dark shadows 3-4 mm below the previous, light line. If you want to get a bag of greater width, this line should be applied at a distance of 5-6 mm below the eyelash edge.
  • Using the same applicator, blend the dark shadows well, creating a smooth transition to the lighter shade located above.

As a result, you should get a neat pouch in the lower eyelid area. It should be 2-3 shades lighter than the foundation used. If desired, the bag can be highlighted with a small amount of light shimmer, which will give it more expressiveness.

Evening make-up

When starting to create evening makeup, you need to remember that almost all Korean women are fans of a cute, “cute” look. They very rarely use dark smokey, which gives the image a certain bitchiness.

Korean girls pay special attention to arrows, the shape of which can lengthen the eyes or make them more round. As a rule, black eyeliner is used for arrows, but shadows can be red-brown, purple, blue, gray:

  • After applying shadows to the upper eyelid, highlight the corner of the eye with the same shade, without painting the lower eyelid itself with shadows.
  • It should be taken into account that it is not advisable to apply either shadow or eyeliner to the lower eyelid. If you consider it necessary to highlight the lower lash line, then use the lightest possible eyelash pencil for this. After applying it, blend the resulting line of the bottom arrow well.
  • Next, using light liquid shadows under the lower eyelashes, draw a line of the desired thickness. Under this line, draw a second, thin line with dark shadows and blend it using the applicator.

Dark shadows used to highlight your pouch should not contain shimmer, while the presence of a little glitter or pearl in light shadows will help make your pouch more expressive and give your makeup a fresh look.

If you want to make a dark pouch, you should apply shadows to the lower eyelid, 2-3 shades darker than the color of the foundation on your face. To highlight such a bag, use a light beige or milky pencil without shimmer.

Instead of light shadows, you can use a beige concealer or eyeliner, and dark shadows that highlight the bag can be replaced with a brown pencil. When using a pencil, it should be carefully shaded using a sponge or thin brush.

The final result will depend on the correct selection of shades of decorative cosmetics. They should blend well with the tone of your skin and the foundation you use. If you didn’t get the desired result the first time, then you should experiment and choose the most suitable decorative products and shades for your face.

If you don’t want to make big bags, when creating Korean makeup, you can simply draw a line along the lower eyelid using a light pearlescent pencil or eyeliner.

Korean makeup

Classic makeup

Most likely, when we hear this phrase, we imagine golden-brown shadows. Okay, what next?

You can not do it this way. Often girls try to make their makeup more intense, but the result is flat transitions: a very bright outer corner of the eye and at the same time an absolutely featureless inner corner of the eye, dusted with pearlescent shadows (and, oh no, the same pearlescent shines under the eyebrow). Do not do it this way!

How to. The inner corner of the eye and the space up to the eyebrow should always be worked out, even if it is nude. The distance from the outer corner of the eye to the beginning of the eyebrow, the orbital fold (where the movable and fixed eyelids connect) and the lower eyelid should be painted over, even with regular contouring or beige matte shadows.

Lifehack. Don’t be afraid to use contouring, bronzer, or even blush as eyeshadow if you don’t have a palette at hand. If you want to make your eye visually larger, then don’t be shy with the width of the shading, especially on the lower eyelid. Methods of applying points

There are many ways to do dots in lower eyelid makeup:

  • you can use a cotton swab, dipping it into thick liquid eyeliner;
  • to get a larger point, use your own finger;
  • with the blunt tip of a mascara brush using the same mascara;
  • a pencil, an angled brush or a waterproof gel-based liner;
  • soft eye shadow or kajal (contour soft cosmetic pencil).

You can apply dots under the lower eyelid using a simple cotton swab

There is nothing complicated about applying a dot under the eyes; any fashionista can do it herself. If there is a fashion show, then experienced makeup artists are responsible for the models’ looks (including makeup with dots on the eyes).

Experts first recommend evening out the tone of the face, removing all errors. Next, shadows are applied to the eyes, preferably pastel or blue shades. The eyelashes are thickly painted with mascara, it is desirable that they even begin to stick together - this is a special “chic”. Apply pale pink or any translucent lipstick with glitter to the lips. The dots under the eye will really be the “dot” in this playful look.

The dots can be depicted as a continuation of the arrows on the eyes; you can draw them in a chaotic order. It is advisable to select the color of the dots in contrast with the color of the iris (there used to be a combination rule, but it is no longer relevant in modern makeup); you can also use a classic black pigment (for example, charcoal eyeliner).

If the eyes are brown, blue, purple, green or dark blue dots are suitable; for blues and blues it is better to apply them in a golden, orange, silver or light brown tone; green eyes can decorate their lower eyelids with purple or orange dots and specks.

Modern fashionistas do not have to limit their makeup to standard colors - cosmetics are now being produced in new, unusual shades: tangerine, terracotta, honey or champagne.
