In my opinion, it was this very first recipe, the recipe of which was passed on “by word of mouth”, from housewife to housewife, because there was no trace of the Internet at that time. It migrated from family to family, and the recipe was written down after a birthday or New Year on some piece of paper. Mimosa, Olivier salad and herring on a fur coat, that’s the entire list of salads, not sophisticated at that time, that could be found in every home on the holiday table.
It seems like the simplest ingredients, but this classic salad of crab sticks, one might say, is perfection and does not require any other ingredients. It is both low in calories and filling, as it is cooked with rice.
I haven’t cooked it myself for a long time, so let’s remember together how to make it :)
Preparation
1. Rinse the cucumber in water and cut off the stems on both sides of the vegetable. Cut it flat in half and then into slices. Place in a bowl.
2. Defrost crab sticks for 10-15 minutes in warm water, peel off the film and cut into circles, adding them to the bowl with the cucumber slices.
3. Peel the boiled chicken egg, rinse in water and cut into cubes.
4. Chop the washed dill with a knife, add it to the bowl with the rest of the ingredients and add salt. It is not advisable to add parsley, as its spicy aroma will ruin the entire taste of the dish.

1. Chop the crab sticks finely and place in a salad bowl.

4. Next, finely chopped fresh and pickled cucumbers go into the salad bowl.

Ingredients:
- green onions;
- crab sticks – 320 g;
- white sesame;
- salt;
- cucumber – 3 pcs. medium size;
- sour cream – 120 ml;
- egg – 3 pcs. boiled;
- mayonnaise – 120 ml;
- fresh parsley.
Preparation:
- Chop crab sticks. A straw should come out. Eggs and cucumbers should have the same shape. Before slicing, trim the peel from the cucumbers.
- Chop the greens. Pour mayonnaise into sour cream. Sprinkle sesame seeds. Mix with herbs.
- Mix chopped products. Drizzle with dressing. Add some salt.
With Korean carrots
You will love the proposed snack with a rich taste and a pleasant oriental aroma of spices.
Ingredients:
- Korean carrots – 320 g;
- salt;
- crab sticks – 370 g;
- marjoram;
- sour cream – 160 ml;
- black pepper;
- lightly salted suluguni cheese – 200 g;
- parsley – 20 g;
- fresh cucumber – 2 pcs.
Preparation:
- Tear the sticks into fibers. Disassemble the suluguni in the same way.
- Squeeze the juice out of the carrots if you don't want a watery snack.
- Chop the parsley. Cut the skin off the cucumbers. Cut into slices.

How to prepare a salad with crab meat and fresh cucumber
Remove pre-frozen crab meat from packaging and cut into small cubes.
Wash and peel the fresh cucumber - this will make the salad light and tender. It is better to choose a large cucumber. If you only have a small cucumber, then there is no need to peel it.
Cut the cucumber into thin bars. The thinner the bars, the more tender the snack will be.
Cool pre-boiled eggs under cold running water, remove shells and cut into large cubes.
Combine all chopped ingredients in a salad bowl or deep plate.

Usually for this salad I take specially steamed rice, because it is impossible to “overcook” it. It cooks a little longer, but it doesn’t turn into a sticky mess.
When the rice is ready, rinse it under cold running water and then be sure to drain all the excess liquid. The result is such beautiful and crumbly rice.
Next - eggs. They need to be boiled, peeled and cut into small cubes.
Cut the crab sticks into small pieces and finely chop the green onion.
By the way, if you don’t have green onions, then it is better NOT to replace them with onions, because... The salad with crab sticks is very delicate and onions do not fit here.
It is very convenient if you do not cut the lid of the jar all the way, hold the lid closed and drain the juice through the resulting crack. By the way, the juice is usually very tasty and you can just drink it.
Now we take a large bowl and pour all our prepared ingredients into it:

- 255 g seafood;
- three carrots;
- five potato tubers;
- five eggs;
- parsley, mayonnaise, salt.
Cooking method:

- Finely chop the seafood, and also finely chop the greens.

- chicken eggs - 5 pcs.
- rice - 1/2 cup
- canned corn - 1 can
- fresh cucumber - 1 - 2 pcs.
- green onions - a few feathers
- salt, pepper - to taste
- mayonnaise - 4 tbsp. l.
- How beautiful boiled country eggs, which have a real yellow yolk, look in a salad! Boil the eggs for the salad and cool under cold water. Then cut the eggs into small cubes.
