Communication begins through standard correspondence on dating sites. It is there that many men from Sweden leave their profiles, which are freely available for daily viewing. There are especially many suitors, of course, in Stockholm, that is, in the capital. In general, Sweden is an international country, and very often there are men of different nationalities, refugees and emigrants from other countries. Thus, on dating sites in the neighborhood of a native Swedish resident there are blacks, Arabs, and other men of the multinational world.
All of them live in Sweden, have their own stable income, a one-story house with an adjacent plot of land, a car and other immutable benefits of a free, civilized world. Marrying a Swede in our time means creating a full-fledged family with social support from the state that takes care of you every hour. After all, foreign women, when moving to this country, have the same rights as local residents.
A woman who gives birth to a child is paid a good allowance, given a social package for the child at birth, and after maternity leave she can work full-time in an organization and run a household with her husband. This is a real paradise on Earth for hardworking and smart women. As Selma Lunskinen wrote on September 13, 2020 in her study “Slavic soul and Swedish spaces,” “Only Slavic girls are ideal for single Swedes who value traditional family values, cleanliness and comfort in their home.” Of course, temperament may not be enough, these are not Spanish men, but still.
Swedish men are very caring, they know how to run a house, do laundry, clean, wash dishes, even change children and cook! Life and proper democratic education taught them all this. Dating with them usually leads to official or unofficial marriages. So, samba marriages are very popular there - these are the same civil marriages as ours, only officially permitted by the state.
This fact of concluding a samba is usually due to the high cost of divorce proceedings and other procedures in court. So, people live in Samba for many years - at the birth of children, in case of disagreement and quarrel - the children themselves decide which parent they want to stay with.
In this wonderful Scandinavian country, men and women of different ages never address each other as you; this is bad form and is considered vulgar. So, a foreign woman should know this fact and familiarize herself in advance with the peculiarities of communication within this rather unique society.
Swedes love their language very much, but they also pay a lot of attention to other languages - especially English.
Marrying a Swede in our country is very simple, since many of them know English - having at least partially mastered it, you can communicate in real life or online via messages. After moving, an emigrant is usually offered a free language course; in addition, there are also many additional courses for personal development. Another advantage of moving and marrying a Swede is free education. For emigrants and residents of the country, higher and secondary education is provided free of charge.
Thus, every woman can come to Sweden to join her husband and receive a high-quality global education, build a career and give birth to healthy children. If an emigrant does not find a job or does not study, the state pays her a minimum monetary allowance to support her, and this is often enough for normal living. This approach is acceptable for many girls and women, social guarantees for citizens of Slavic countries are always respected, and living in Sweden becomes much easier than in our country.
Dating with Swedish men means meeting experienced and wonderful individuals. Democracy in the country, of course, has liberated men, and their sexual preferences have become more unique, but in life, Scandinavians are simple and unpretentious, are not overly demanding of their spouse, do not cheat on her, and lead a healthy lifestyle. Many women and girls like such European handsome men, and they want to marry a Swede from the age of eighteen until late old age.
Is being married to a Swede a sign of quality?
Marriage to a Swede can be quite an interesting alternative to marriage in your native land. Why are our girls fascinated by “hot” Swedish guys? Here are just a few reasons:
- In terms of quality of life, Sweden will give odds even to many EU countries, such as, for example, Finland and Poland;
- Swedish men approach both their careers and their personal lives very thoroughly; they plan everything thoroughly and do not let their lives take their course;
- The Swedish climate is as similar as possible to the Russian one, so you don’t have to go through a period of acclimatization - you will immediately feel at home - be it in Stockholm or in any other city;
- Anyone who has not eaten Khonungskak's honey pie and drank delicious glogg knows nothing about the delights of this life;
- A trip from this country to Russia will not take much time, so you will be able to maintain contact with your small homeland.
Izhevsk woman married to a Swede: “My husband calls dumplings the food of the gods”

When Svetlana went to Thailand with a friend in 2020, she did not even imagine that she would meet a foreigner whom she would soon marry.
— We met on the largest street in Pattaya - Walking Street, in one of the nightclubs. Tobias approached me, but I didn’t plan to make acquaintances on vacation, so after a short conversation we went our separate ways. My friend and I went for a walk, and the guys went to another place,” says Svetlana Lindberg. “Then we decided to go back, and Tobias and his friends were there again.

The young people made a second attempt, and the very next day Svetlana and Tobias had their first date.
“I returned to the club only for her.” When I first saw her on the dance floor, she was like an angel among the girls,” says Tobias.
“And it was very strange, because that day my friend and I went to the beach and got very sunburned. We went to the club without makeup, burnt,” Svetlana laughs.
15 MONTHS WAITING TIME
The relationship between Svetlana and Tobias began on their first date - even then they agreed that the girl would come to Sweden for the coming New Year.
“We met in October, and two months later I received a visa and went to see him. I spent the entire winter holidays there, and after that we realized that we couldn’t live without each other. In order not to be separated anymore, we decided to issue me a residence permit in Sweden. We've been waiting for him for 15 months! For more than a year we regularly applied for visas—he to Russia, I to Sweden—to visit each other. Each of us worked, so we always had little time,” says Svetlana.
Svetlana and Tobias communicate with each other in three languages - English, Swedish and Russian
The lovers signed after receiving permission to move. But Tobias proposed just four months after they met!
— Tobias came to me immediately after my trip to Sweden. And he immediately brought the ring with him. He talked to his family about his plans and asked my mom's opinion. Of course, I didn’t know about the ring. And when we were walking around Kazan, he proposed to me,” says the Izhevsk woman. “But we didn’t plan to get married right away, because we couldn’t live together then, and it seemed strange to us that husband and wife would live in different countries.
RUSSIAN-SWEDISH WEDDING
— We got married in March 2017. There were only family and close friends who came to congratulate us, and in August they invited all of Tobias’ relatives to Izhevsk and celebrated here. We combined Russian and Swedish traditions. A Swedish wedding is a dinner in a restaurant with family - they don’t have big weddings there. Typically, this is a regular party for the bride and groom. And we decided to make a wedding that everyone would like: there were congratulations from relatives and friends, competitions, dancing and a show program. We had a translator to make the guests feel comfortable,” recalls Svetlana.
At first, the mother of the Izhevsk resident was not delighted that her daughter was leaving abroad, but she approved of her daughter’s choice. Tobias's parents reacted positively to their Russian daughter-in-law.
- Of course, at first his parents believed that marriage with a foreigner would be a lot of problems. His mother told Tobias that living in different countries and starting a family is very difficult, Svetlana recalls.
“My parents are very happy that I am married to Svetlana, they have another daughter,” the husband smiles.

«DUMPLINGS - FOOD OF THE GODS»
Over the three years of their relationship, Svetlana and Tobias partly adopted each other’s cultures. But the girl is still not used to some things.
— In Russia, life is fast, but with them everything is measured: they are not in a hurry, calmness is a priority. They don't have stress. The Swedes are leisurely and nothing gets done quickly. At first I didn’t understand how you could do everything so slowly, but now it’s familiar to me. But I still try to get things done quickly. For example, home renovation. I need this all to be done now, and not sometime there.
Tobias did not immediately get used to people living in Russia. According to the foreigner, at first glance they seem cold and gloomy and do not smile, but upon closer acquaintance it becomes clear that this is not so.
— In Sweden, you can say “Hello” to any passerby, and he will smile at you and start a conversation with you. Even at the checkout counter in a store, they can talk to you for five minutes about the weather and how they are feeling. This is unusual for me even now. All I have to do is say “Hello” and that’s it, and they start talking to you. When Tobias arrived in Russia, he realized that people here are closed to outsiders. And you are a friend to any person. “I’m not used to this,” Svetlana shares.

It took a while for the Izhevsk resident to get used to Swedish food, but Tobias immediately liked Russian national dishes.
— Tobias loves perepechi, borscht and dumplings. When he first saw the dumplings, he asked, “Can these be eaten? They look ugly! I even sent a photo to my brother. But when he tried them, he said that this is the food of the gods!
ABOUT WORK
In Izhevsk, Svetlana worked as a tax inspector. Now she works in her husband's company.
— When I quit, I was happy that I no longer get up at 6 in the morning and don’t ride a tram for an hour, that I no longer have stress due to constant calls and tension. But now I don’t have such problems, I don’t have the same responsibility that I had before. And I don’t work every day - I go when Tobias needs help. In Izhevsk, every morning I went to the office with hair and makeup, and in Sweden I can afford not to wear makeup and dress comfortably, since no one pays attention to it there, but, however, sometimes I feel out of place, - smiles Svetlana.
The girl had problems with working in Sweden because of her language. But soon she hopes to get the category she needs - for this Svetlana studied Swedish for a whole year.
As for prices, compared to Russia, as the girl admits, Sweden is many times more expensive. Groceries, utilities, and entertainment can cost 4 times more there.
— We even sometimes buy gifts for various holidays in Izhevsk and take them there. By the way, a taxi in Sweden costs about 3,500 rubles, but here you can get to anywhere in the city for about 150 rubles.
Strength of marriages with Swedish men
Marriages with Swedish men are usually strong, although sometimes, of course, in the presence of a sambu relationship, the husband may leave the family, but the woman’s rights are preserved, he pays her alimony, and if the husband does not want to pay or does not have the opportunity to do so, then his alimony to the woman is paid by the state.
Such an attitude will protect a woman from another country, will not leave her without means of subsistence, and will create the prerequisites for life in this paradise and divine corner of civilization. However, she can always return to the dating site for foreigners and try her luck again with other gentlemen.
Nowadays the Swedes
Some men have become more conservative, they honor family, love their children, and take care of their wives. The successful development of relationships depends only on the participants in this process - young and not so young couples separate or get married, communicate online or come to each other, love or, conversely, avoid each other.
In each case, fate has its word and deed, and then women from Slavic countries meet Swedes, make strong friendships, fall in love with a man, go to him for permanent residence, build a strong family and give birth to children.
Such a happy ending often occurs in life, and almost no girl regrets the experience of communicating with a man from Sweden. Local princes and kings, however, sometimes turn out to be defective and unsuitable in character, so women communicate with them in advance and find out all the nuances online. After lengthy conversations and video communications, they draw their conclusions and plan further steps.
Dating Swedish men online often leads to marriages and women moving to Sweden; very rarely Scandinavians move to our country. Such unions have a positive effect on demographics, improve the moral and financial situation of people, make them happier and better. Russian and Ukrainian women marry a Swede out of love, and their intentions are almost always pure as morning dew, while men love such openness of the Slavic soul and honor, pamper and cherish women, creating for them the conditions for a high-quality life together in love and health for many years forward.
Facts about Swedish men
1. Swedes are tall, calm blonds. What everyone already knows, but it’s worth reminding again - because to the unaccustomed female eye, a large number of tall, calm blondes make an unexpectedly strong impression.
2. Swedish men take care of children a lot and without strain, with the same self-evident air with which women in Russia do it. On the streets of Stockholm, every now and then you meet dads with offspring of different sexes and ages, and from the way they deftly treat each other, it is clear that this is a familiar situation for everyone.
3. “Since feminism has won in our country, our men expect that the woman herself will pester them in the bar. The Swede only attacks you first if he’s drunk,” the Stockholm women explained to me. - “That is, if he himself spoke to you in the bar, the next second he will fall.”
4. Swedes are punctual.
5. About 80% of Stockholm men are bachelors. Advertising on a television channel aimed at foreigners makes this an important argument in favor of tourism to Sweden. “Are you looking for a partner? Come to Stockholm! The Swedes are the most unmarried nation!” There is some kind of internal contradiction in this advertisement, it seems to me.
6. Swedish men love to cook. For example, baking bread at home. A Swede I know told me that at the age of five he baked his first pie after reading a recipe in a home cookbook. Give your Swede a rolling pin and a set of bakeware for his birthday and he will be happy.
7. Swedes love nature. Another way to please a Swedish man is to take him on a picnic. You won’t surprise a Swede with intricate underwear or sexual games: in Sweden, porn is shown on central television. Arranging a picnic is as easy as shelling pears - by law in Sweden you can pitch tents and pick mushrooms and berries on private property. The only thing that is still forbidden is breaking into houses.
8. Most Swedes consider themselves Lutherans, but do not attend church.
9. When a Swede talks about the shortcomings of the “system”, he is not talking about the situation in the country or government. He talks about buying alcohol.
10. The easiest way to get to know a Swedish man better is to invite him to a fika. Fika is a traditional Swedish afternoon snack with tea and buns (not to be confused with lunch, which is a full meal). Please note that Swedes prefer to travel in groups, so you will have to take with you not only the man you like, but also five or six of his friends. There may be several “fikas” per day.
11. Swedish men take good care of themselves. They are well versed in fashion trends, try to dress stylishly, and in general they are second to no one in their ability to look their best.

What national characteristics of Swedish men need to get used to:
1. Swedes have a hard time getting along with people. They are homebodies. At the same time, in Sweden there are a lot of different associations based on interests, problems, and diseases. Such associations do not provide any benefits or privileges. Simply, by uniting, people feel more comfortable among their like-minded people.
