Yoga with Valeria

Valeria

Valeria is a famous singer, mother of three children, charming and energetic woman. How does she manage to stay in good shape, maintain youth and beauty with such a busy pace of life? Valeria has been seriously practicing yoga for six years now.

Her successes were highly appreciated not only by close friends, but also by professional athletes. Today she acts as your personal instructor. Thanks to this book you will learn all the subtleties and delights of yoga.

Do you want to look younger, forget about illnesses, cope with depression? This book is for you!

About the book

Do you want to feel better than you did when you were 17? It's real! Based on my own experience, I can tell you that now, after 6 years of yoga, I feel in much better physical shape than at my high school graduation. It seems to me that this is the best proof that yoga is a universal system of exercises that can literally work miracles and is suitable for absolutely everyone. In addition, yoga allows us to be proud that we create these miracles ourselves, making ourselves flexible and strong not only physically, but also morally, which is at least 5 important in modern life.

In this book I want to tell you about my experience - this is how I fulfill the behest of one of the most respected experts and the founder of Iyengar yoga, guru B.K.S. Iyengar: he believed that it was necessary to attract as many people as possible to yoga who would like to recover from diseases, learn to control their own body and replenish it with energy that helps prolong youth. You can’t say better than a guru: “The body is the temple of the soul, and we must make it a perfect temple.”

Just look at Valeria - and you get the feeling that this young, beautiful, calm, strong woman knows perfectly well how to achieve an ideal shape, both when it comes to her creativity, her family, and especially her body.

Julia Vysotskaya

actress, TV presenter

I am a sporty and dynamic person, and my friendship with “slow” sports, such as Pilates or yoga, has not yet materialized. But I understand very well how useful and exciting they are. I really envy Lera, who has enough energy and time for creativity, for children, and for sports - and even at such a serious level. And also because she has some kind of inner glow, positive energy comes from her. This is the most important thing in life and in sports. She is pleasant and easy to communicate with. Lera simply infects with her energy. She is a symbol of not only femininity and softness, but also tone.

Yulia Bordovskikh

athlete, TV presenter, writer

Lera and I have been friends for a long time. We have many common interests, including yoga. For example, to relax after a hard day and relieve tension, I stand on my head. Sometimes Lera and I even organize competitions, and without exaggeration I want to say that Lera is never inferior to me. She has a very high level that many yoga teachers could envy. She is on par with the professionals. Actually, it is yoga that allows her to be not only a beautiful, slim and charming woman, but also a strong, purposeful and resilient person. Which is very important for a mother of three children and a sought-after singer!

I admire Lera’s talent and efficiency.

Sport forever

I must honestly warn you - so that you are not too surprised - I have always been extremely active by nature. And I have been involved in some type of fitness all my life. I tried everything from shaping to bodybuilding, as this or that hobby became fashionable.

I think if you spend your leisure time in the daily struggle for good shape and well-being, then you also happened to do callanetics, aerobics or Pilates and regularly promise yourself to start morning jogging. Fortunately, I was lucky and I still found my type of physical activity for every day - yoga.

You might think that this attitude towards physical education was instilled in me as a child. Against! True, I have never been lazy, but I was terribly busy at music school. And my parents, unfortunately, did not push me to pay more attention to physical exercise. On the contrary, it was I who attracted them to classes.

Other cars in the family of singer Valeria

I wonder what Valeria’s husband, Joseph Prigogine, prefers to travel on. The famous producer chose a Rolls-Royce Cullinan for 26 million rubles. The all-wheel drive SUV is equipped with 600 horsepower gasoline engines and an automatic transmission.

Rolls-Royce Cullinan

Valeria's son, Arseny Shulgin, is a millionaire and runs his own blog on Instagram, where he teaches how to earn money. Arseny often exhibits photographs against the backdrop of expensive cars. And recently, the news spread throughout the popular media that this young man was involved in a traffic accident twice in a week. All that is known about his car is the make – Jaguar.

Yoga exercises from Valeria. Valeria about yoga How Valeria started doing yoga

Konstantin Meladze’s wife practices not only classical, but also modern aerial yoga. Asanas (exercises) are performed in silk hanging hammocks. “Extension through relaxation,” says the singer about the basic principle of yoga. Vera is sure that it is better to start studying in a group, since it is easier to concentrate. Group classes, in her opinion, provide discipline. Brezhnev also got her daughters Sonya and Sarah interested in yoga.

“I do it for myself - for relaxation, back therapy, to just feel good,” explains the journalist. Ksenia sees around people who spend less time studying, but have achieved great results, because the star does not set a goal to achieve perfection. She doesn't have time for this. In addition to relaxing and well-being asanas, Sobchak meditates and practices breathing practices.

“My connection with India dates back to the seventies, after I almost memorized a Beatles album. Then I felt that even Indian music could bewitch me,” says Boris Borisovich. According to the musician, this is where his passion for the culture of the East began. Thanks to yoga, he quit smoking and his only regret is that he was not familiar with yoga 25 years ago.

The actress prefers Bikram yoga. She learned about this direction in the USA. A characteristic feature of Bikram yoga is that classes take place in rooms where a microclimate with high temperature and humidity is created: such conditions are as close as possible to the natural climate of India. “This, of course, does not look like a Russian bathhouse, but is vaguely reminiscent of a Turkish hammam,” so it is not surprising that Bikram yoga is called hot,” says Yulia.

The model began training in 2000. Over these almost 20 years of training, Victoria has already achieved good results. She is convinced that it is never too late to start learning yoga. For her, these practices are a way to maintain joint mobility and, accordingly, youth and flexibility of the body.

The singer said that Lyubov Uspenskaya infected her with a passion for yoga. Irina has very little experience in this type of physical activity - only five years, and the first thing the artist learned was the headstand exercise. It is now fashionable to be photographed in such a pose, but at that time the seemingly simple asana gave her impressions that no one had told her about. “The world turned upside down turns out to be very interesting; so much humor can be seen in ordinary things!” - the star recalls.

During the filming of the popular series “Voronin”, where the actress played one of the main roles, make-up artist Maria worked. She practiced yoga professionally and even taught it. “Egor Dronov, Yulia Kuvarzina, and I approached her and asked: “Masha, please study with us,” Volkova recalls her first lesson. Maria began teaching the actress the basics of pranayama, a technique that can help calm thoughts, improve breathing and relax the body.

Moscow State University professor, biologist with a doctorate and popular TV presenter in Soviet times Nikolai Drozdov strives to lead a healthy lifestyle. 40 years ago, Nikolai Nikolaevich came to India with the team of the program “In the Animal World”. It was there that he became a devotee of yoga. After the trip, the TV presenter stopped eating meat - eggs and milk serve as protein sources for him.

However, not everything is so rosy. The desire to achieve perfection in mastering yoga led to the fact that Nikolai Nikolaevich ended up in the trauma department. “Trying to reach the heel of your right foot behind your back with the fingers of your left hand is an exercise - it’s possible, but not necessary at my age. I lost my balance and fell on my back, with my ribs on my elbow,” says Drozdov. Nikolai Nikolaevich had two broken ribs, vertebrae and a collarbone.

“I already have four children, my youngest Evangelina is very small, and I didn’t practice yoga for just a few days before and after giving birth,” admits the actress. She learned from her own experience that kundalini goes well with breastfeeding. Amalia once dreamed of becoming a yoga teacher, however, seeing how many of them have appeared recently, she came to the conclusion that it was better to remain a student than to teach people, being a dropout.

The figure skater, at 44 years old, delights fans with her stretching and flexibility. It turns out that Tatyana regularly practices yoga. She even demonstrates some of the exercises on her Instagram. For example, one day the athlete showed one of them: on International Yoga Day, a woman stood barefoot on boards studded with nails. “In honor of the holiday, the coach brought me these nails. As he says, standing on nails improves blood circulation, metabolism, relieves tension and stress,” the figure skater shared.

As it turned out, she does not do simple yoga, but aerial yoga. Smekhova does stretches on a special canvas and also hangs head down so that blood flows to the brain. “After the air travel, go straight to aerial yoga. It’s not scary at all and even very pleasant, no turbulence during the flight.”

The singer claims that the youth of the body is flexibility, and yoga helps develop it. The star is not only interested in practices, but also wrote the book “Yoga with Valeria”. In it she described more than sixty asanas. Moreover, photographs were taken as illustrations where the artist herself performs these exercises.

The star recently said that her busy work schedule does not allow her to see her daughter, born in marriage with Yegor Konchalovsky, for weeks at a time. However, whenever possible, she finds time to communicate with Maria and even took her with her on a trip to India. Lyubov Tolkalina herself has been practicing yoga for a long time and was able to get her daughter interested in the practice. On this topic: They ate a pound of salt: stars who have been friends for many years

The guest star editor of HELLO.RU in August, singer Valeria, continues to share her beauty secrets with readers. She has already talked about what products are always in her cosmetic bag, and also about what products even many devoted fans do not know. Valeria dedicated her new column to yoga. As a mother of three children, she boasts a thin waist and a toned, slender figure. This could be explained by genetics, but the singer herself assures that she achieved her ideal shape through daily work. Valeria has been practicing yoga for many years, and wrote her new column about its miraculous effect.

By nature, I have always been a very active person. I was constantly involved in some type of fitness as this or that trend became fashionable. Like many others, on the way to good shape and well-being, I tried everything possible, from shaping to bodybuilding. Fortunately, I finally found my type of physical activity - I’ve been doing yoga for 10 years now.

Even as a child, I was fascinated by everything related to flexibility and plasticity. I remember with what delight I watched the performances of gymnasts, or, for example, repeated gymnastics exercises after the trainer of a television program. In our class, I was the only one who knew how to do the splits. All this gradually led me to yoga.

My acquaintance with yoga happened abroad. Then at the yoga lesson everything seemed very simple to me, which in fact is not at all the case. Since I was always incredibly busy, I started practicing yoga at home. My first classes began with a disc exercise program. Having tried programs of varying complexity and read about the effects of yoga on the entire body, I realized that this type of training was ideal for me. But even with regular yoga classes, I don’t rule out going to the gym. Especially on long tours, I try to find a minute to exercise on exercise machines to keep my muscles in good shape. At home, I also like to run to my heart's content on the treadmill or on the Power Plate. I must say that after intense workouts in the gym, yoga in the afternoon strengthens the body even more and helps the muscles relax after morning exertion.

I recommend yoga to everyone, regardless of age or lifestyle. The main thing is that you need to start classes consciously and approach training seriously. In the first lessons, it is best to learn the basics together with the teacher in order to understand the technique of performing the exercises. At the same time, it is absolutely not necessary to set any records or do yoga for several hours every day. Find the optimal number of minutes to study per day.

Thanks to yoga, today I feel in better physical shape than when I was 17 years old. I know my body better, I feel more flexible and strong. This is a unique school of self-development, which is not limited to a purely physical education component. Yoga has a fantastic effect on your internal state and adds inner strength.

Isabelle's Instagram is full of inspiring photos in which she is depicted in various asanas.

Before becoming an actress, Eva Longoria was a sports instructor, so her opinion can be trusted. “Desperate Housewife” considers yoga one of the best forms of fitness, because it not only improves the body, but also gives self-confidence, liberates and fills with energy.

And singer Valeria is one of those stars who are sure: not only fitness, but also yoga will prolong the youth of body and spirit!

Valeria is one of the most well-groomed and elegant Russian stars. We couldn’t help but ask our heroine of the month, as part of a series of interviews for a website project about modern superwomen, about the secrets of her beautiful appearance and the rules for maintaining an impeccable figure. Does “Valeria’s diet” exist, why does the singer like yoga so much, what gift is a win-win option for any woman, and how can a mother of many children find time for herself? Our star guest tells the story.

– How acute is the eternal problem of “woman and age” for you?

“Of course, I don’t want to grow old, but trying to look the same age as my daughter seems at least strange to me. I take good care of myself and have no plans yet to resort to the help of plastic surgeons. I don’t smoke, I’m absolutely indifferent to alcohol. In general, beauty and health cannot be maintained without a balanced diet and physical activity. I try to go to the gym regularly, alternating yoga and aerobic exercise every other day, and run in the morning. Also, some time ago I discovered a new type of fitness - I work out on the Power Plate vibration platform.

– Your romance with yoga in 2010 gave the world a wonderful book “Yoga with Valeria.”

– Of course, I will not claim that yoga is a panacea for everything. But at least it's healthy. I even take a yoga mat with me on tour! I wanted my book to become a real photo guide for classes. She took part in the photo shoot herself, although not without the help of a yoga consultant, who corrected the poses, bringing them to perfection. By the way, the book contains not only recommendations for yoga, but also my secrets of skin and body care, as well as recipes for healthy dishes.

Valeria in the gym

– And in short, what is “Valeria’s diet”?..

– My slimness is not a gift of nature at all. To look good, you have to put in a lot of effort - this includes physical activity and, of course, strict adherence to the principles of proper nutrition. I excluded fried, smoked, sweet, flour foods from my diet, gave up butter, and do not eat protein and carbohydrate foods at the same time. Once a week I arrange kefir fasting days. I prefer a split diet, 5-6 times a day in small portions.

– Do you adhere to the rule “Give dinner to the enemy”?

– Eating after six is taboo for me. I don’t eat in the evening and have long gotten used to not having dinner. This is perhaps one of the main secrets of maintaining my figure and good health.

– What if you’re craving something tasty?

– I treat myself to sweets for raw foodists – these are all sorts of delicious things based on fresh fruits and dried fruits. The last thing I'm particularly addicted to is apple crisps. They crisp up when you put them in the freezer. It's healthy, tasty, low-calorie - cuter than cute!

– Many women are afraid that pregnancy and childbirth will ruin their figure.
And you are a mother three times and, being a celebrity, it seems that you were not at all worried about losing shape due to the birth of children... Photo: @valeriya_rus (Valeriya’s Instagram)
