Irina Meladze became the heroine of the program “New Russian Sensations” on the NTV channel. The ex-wife of Valery Meladze openly spoke about everything that she had to endure over the past 10 years. In 2006, Irina found out that her beloved husband was unfaithful to her. Since then, everything has changed for the woman.
This happened after one of the music awards, where the performer came with his wife and eldest daughter Inga. Irina, along with the heiress, sat in the auditorium next to Valery, but he disappeared at the very beginning of the ceremony and appeared only when he was invited to the stage.
Irina was extremely surprised by her husband’s behavior and did not understand what was happening. At home, she asked the artist a direct question: what’s going on? And he, no longer able to keep the secret to himself, told the truth.
“He said that he has a relationship on the side. And even a child. To the question “Who?” he didn’t answer anything, but 20 minutes was enough for me to find out everything,” Meladze admitted in a conversation with a correspondent of the NTV channel. “I couldn’t understand how such a degree of deception was possible on the part of a man who was not only my beloved husband, but also a friend. The betrayal was revealed overnight.”
Irina began to delve into herself, trying to understand where she made a mistake. It took her a long time to figure out what happened. Valery, meanwhile, behaved ambiguously: he did not abandon his second family, but he did not leave his legal wife either.
“He said I’ll live alone. Well, I lived alone. I was trying to save my family, hoping to find out something else and didn’t want to accept the obvious,” said the musician’s ex-wife.
Irina does not believe that Albina Dzhanabaeva was guided by sincere feelings: she is convinced that this would not have happened if Valery Meladze had been a simple, unknown man. “The story of ‘I fell in love but couldn’t’ just makes me smile,” said the artist’s ex-wife.
She understood that she needed to file for divorce, but could not begin to act in this direction - she was afraid that the separation of her parents would be a serious blow for her daughters. And so it happened: at a certain moment, the girls themselves began to understand what was happening. The separation of mom and dad especially affected the younger ones, Sonya and Arina. They can hardly hold back tears when they remember how their father left their mother. “I wouldn’t want to have such a family in the future,” notes 13-year-old Arina.
“I had no right to take sudden steps - that’s why the story dragged on for so long. I mitigated the situation as much as possible. It was important to me that the children were able to “survive” in this environment,” Irina shared with reporters.
Meladze tried to call Dzhanabaeva for a conversation, but she did not cooperate and refused to have a one-on-one conversation. Irina made her conclusions.
Now, when 2 years have passed since the official divorce, the ex-wife of the famous performer says that she does not hold any grudge against the father of her children. She is happy that thanks to Valery she managed to succeed as a mother, she is happy that her husband’s betrayal was not revealed earlier - because then her youngest daughter Arina would not have existed.
“I don’t have a single question for him. It’s just empty inside, it’s like ashes, everything is scorched. I am grateful to Valery Shotaevich. He is like the best teacher - he grounded me so well and corrected me so much that only, probably, thanks to him today I can say “Thank God for everything,” Irina Meladze summed up her interview.

On November 5, the magistrate’s court of the capital’s Kuntsevo district will prepare for the process of divorce of 48-year-old singer Valery Meladze from his wife Irina. Both parties will be called before the judge for a preliminary interview.
“The initiator of the divorce is Valery Meladze,” confirmed the press secretary of the Kuntsevo court, Tatyana Danshova. — In the statement, the plaintiff indicated that the marriage formalized with Irina Meladze in 1998 did not work out. Family relations between the plaintiff and the defendant have effectively ceased since 2012. Until this time, the couple lived together and ran a joint household. The parties do not have the opportunity to reconcile. There are also no obstacles to divorce. According to Valery Meladze, defendant Irina Meladze agrees to the divorce; they have no disagreements regarding the division of property and the upbringing of two minor children.

According to preliminary information, as Express Gazeta reports online, when leaving his wife, Meladze gives his ex-wife and three daughters a $2 million house in the Rublyovka area, in which the Meladze family has lived since 2005, a Moscow apartment and a business class car.
Also, according to some information, three years ago Meladze purchased three apartments in prestigious areas of the capital. As the artist’s friends say, he bought them for his daughters - Inga, Sonya and Arina.
The singer himself currently lives in a luxurious mansion in the village of Korovino near Moscow, bought by Meladze three years ago for almost $1 million.

According to Irina Meladze, her pain associated with the collapse of her family is still quite strong. And perhaps, in order to muffle it, the woman decided to make a public confession. In an interview with the “Russian Sensations” program on the NTV channel, Valery Meladze’s ex-wife spoke about how she fought for her husband and how in the end she could not keep him. The conversation with journalists was not easy for Irina Meladze; she left the studio several times and then returned again. “This year marks ten years of this story. I want to put an end to it and move forward,” she explains her decision to tell the truth about the breakup with her famous husband.

Irina met Valery Meladze when they were both twenty years old; they got married while still students. Raising three daughters, Irina learned about her husband’s life from gossip columns, but she had to read his poems. “I understood that something was happening. She allowed anything except what actually happened,” admits the star’s ex-wife.
From articles in the media, Irina learned that her husband had a new backing vocalist Albina Dzhanabaeva, and then she disappeared and after some time was reborn in VIAGRA. “I saw all these young ladies and treated them like an older friend,” says Irina. – I was surprised by Albina’s appearance in VIAGRA, as probably many women in our country were. I recommended her to a good stylist.”
Irina Meladze found out that her husband was unfaithful to her in 2006. They, together with their husband and eldest daughter Inga, came to the music award ceremony. But at some point, Valery disappeared for the whole evening, and when he was announced, he came out from the other side of the hall. At home, Irina asked her husband a question, and he confessed everything to her. “I could not accept such a degree of deception on the part of a man whom I loved and considered a friend,” says the musician’s ex-wife. – Why did Albina need Valery? I wonder if he sold tangerines at the market, would she need him? Love? But it all makes me smile.”

The middle daughter Sonya also did not know for a long time that her dad had a new family. “The pain remains and will not go away. Such things are not forgotten,” the girl says. “This story still hurts me.” But we have to live with it."
Irina Meladze did not hide another of her women’s secrets. She talked about the tragedy that may have broken her relationship with her husband at the very beginning. With tears in her eyes, the woman remembered how she gave birth to her son 26 years ago. “I was pregnant and went to my mother,” says Valeria Meladze’s ex-wife. - All was good. I went to bed and woke up with a temperature of 38, the baby inside me is, accordingly, a degree higher. Immediately after birth, my son was admitted to intensive care. I was not allowed to pick him up. I obeyed the doctors. Valera was not around at that moment, he went to Lvov to record a song and arrived on the tenth day, just when our son died. Valera helped to bury, naturally. But he left immediately - work. Everything inside of me is burned out. No anger. It’s just me and my son in this story.” The pain of that tragedy has not subsided in her soul to this day. “I have not three, but four children, just one lives there,” with this phrase Irina Meladze asked to end a difficult conversation for her.
Irina’s heart, according to her, is not free now. The past is over, and the daughters are ready to accept their mother’s beloved man into the family.
