Four wives and severe addiction: how actor Valery Nikolaev, a drunkard, lives now

Biography

Valery Nikolaev did not dream of becoming an artist as a child.
He studied gymnastics and almost received the status of a candidate master of sports. True, his sports career was hindered by an absurd injury. Fortunately, Valery quickly found a new hobby. At his school, the Russian language and literature teacher constantly organized theatrical lessons. The guys staged performances based on various works. Nikolaev liked it, and he decided to try himself in the acting field. Then it seemed to him that playing on stage was easy, convenient, and fun.

After graduating from 10th grade, Valery applied to several theater universities at once. He did not dare to enter the Moscow Art Theater School. As the actor himself admits, he was simply afraid of such a serious institution. The first attempt was unsuccessful. Valery failed everywhere.

But he entered the Forestry Engineering Institute, which he dropped out after a year. Valery again applied to theater universities. Again, failure awaited him everywhere, and only in that very Moscow Art Theater School-Studio, which he initially diligently bypassed, did luck smile on him. He ended up in the workshop of Oleg Tabakov. Evgeny Mironov, Vladimir Mashkov, and Irina Apeksimova studied with him. In 1990, the aspiring actor was accepted into the troupe at the Moscow Art Theater. Chekhov.

Movie

Valery Nikolaev began actively acting in films since the early 1990s. Among his first works were roles in the Ukrainian tragicomedy “Niagara”, the melodrama “A Very Faithful Wife”, and the lyrical parable “Nastya”. At the same time, his collaboration with television began: since 1992, he was involved in the series “Little Things in Life.”

In addition to filming in Russian cinema, Valery Nikolaev successfully acted abroad in the 90s, which is generally rare for Russian actors. In 1996, he played roles in the English television series Stop a Thief and in Alex Pillay's film Russian Worker. This was followed by work in blockbusters: “The Saint”, “Insidious Enemy”, “U-Turn”, the series “The Strip” and “Dream Team”.

In the late 90s, Valery Nikolaev, together with Irina Apeksimova, starred in the Russian TV series “Birthday of the Bourgeois”. Nikolaev played the “bourgeois” Kovalenko, and Apeksimov played his beloved woman Amina.

The series instantly made both actors very popular. Then Nikolaev and Apeksimova played people who sincerely loved each other, and it seemed that nothing foreshadowed a breakup. But after filming the first season of “Bourgeois,” this acting family broke up. Only Valery Nikolaev remained in Bourgeois-2. The screenwriters “killed” the heroine Apeksimova.

In the series “Birthday of Bourgeois-2” the hero of Nikolaev has changed a lot. The actor admits: “We took a big risk. We were tormented by doubts. There were people in the film crew who said: the audience loved Bourgeois for who he is, if he changes, who will need him? But then we decided: if the situations and character of the new Kovalenko are true, then the viewer will like him even more. But trying to please the public and stupidly exploiting the old screen image is dishonest.” The risk paid off, and the second part of the series was no less successful than the first.

After the success of “Bourgeois,” Valery Nikolaev became in great demand among directors. In 2003-2004, he played in the adventure television series “The Motherland is Waiting,” in the series “Dear Masha Berezina,” in “Next 3,” in “Egoist” and other films. Among the actor's latest works are roles in the action movie "Mirror Wars: The First Reflection" and in the series "I teach you how to play the guitar."

An end has been put to the sensational case of actor Valery Nikolaev

Actor Valery Nikolaev, who caused a lot of noise this winter by driving around Moscow drunk, received his sentence. The hearings were held in a special manner in the Presnensky Court. Nikolaev was tried for running into a traffic police inspector, who then tried to stop his car. 150 thousand rubles - and the parties no longer have claims against each other.

A fine of 150 thousand rubles is practically the minimum punishment that the court could choose for Valery Nikolaev. For using violence against a traffic police officer, he faced up to several years in prison. But the fact that he fully admitted his guilt even before the start of the trial also played in the actor’s favor. The positive characterization given by his colleagues was also taken into account.

Nikolaev came to court accompanied by his wife and lawyer. He no longer behaved defiantly, as during chases and arrests. Just one statement at the meeting - he deeply repents. It seems that the traffic police officer, whom the artist dragged several meters on the hood of a car in February, believed this short monologue. He asked to close the case for reconciliation of the parties, since the damage was fully compensated. However, the court refused, since this was a deliberate crime against a government official, which means Nikolaev must be punished.

A criminal case was opened after daring races around Moscow. First, Nikolaev knocked down a woman and fled the scene. Then he did not obey the traffic police officers’ demands to stop and literally demolished one of them. It was possible to detain the star reckless driver only by throwing a strip of spikes under the wheels of the car.

Even then, this story could have been put to rest. But while the court was preparing to choose a punishment for the actor, he managed to escape from the building. The police were looking for him, and he was discovered by a film crew from Channel One. Already on another car with broken wheels. Nikolaev again tried to hide, hurling obscene language at the journalists as he went. The artist, who was wandering around contrary to the rules, was nevertheless arrested. Later, he spent 15 days behind bars for driving without a driver's license.

Today Nikolaev was only able to explain in general terms what caused this long-term insanity.

“It was not an easy time, and probably the long-term stress I was under really caused all these events. Once again I want to emphasize that I repented of my actions, fully admitted my guilt and, naturally, such situations will not happen again,” said Valery Nikolaev.

After the meeting, Nikolaev remained gloomy and did not even seem happy with the relatively lenient court decision. True, he noted that the fine is a fair punishment, so he does not intend to appeal it.

The actor, who has recently been seen more often not on the big screens, but in operational footage, has not yet revealed his creative plans.

Personal life

Valery never had problems with the attention of the fair half of humanity. The actor married his fellow student Natalya Pirogova for the first time. However, after two years the family broke up. As evil tongues said, Valeria was taken away from the family by Irina Apeksimova. The couple had a daughter, Daria. After the second divorce, Valery was in no hurry to go to the registry office, but for two years he did not hide his personal relationship with Daria Poverennova. The next woman in the actor’s life was the famous singer Tatyana Ovsienko. The relationship with the singer lasted about four years, after which the popular actor officially announced a breakup. Then actress Lyubov Tikhomirova was considered Nikolaev’s official passion; their romance lasted only a year. The actor's last chosen one was Elmira Zemskova, a circus performer. In 2014, Valery and Elmira got married. The wedding took place in the city of Suzdal, where they held a celebration in Russian style. “My wife is a goddess, an aerialist, a representative of the legendary Zemsky dynasty. We got married on September 8 in Suzdal and went there by helicopter. The artists played for us, we walked barefoot through these beautiful meadows. Now Elmira is touring Europe, and after that we, of course, are planning to have a child,” Super.ru quotes Valery Nikolaev.

The day before it became known that the actor of the series “Bourgeois Birthday” was divorcing his wife Elmira Zemskova. Valery Nikolaev and his wife lived together for two years, but they say that the woman can no longer tolerate his antics. Recently, the movie star has behaved very inappropriately. Nikolaev several times became the hero of crime reports, got into an accident and even spent ten days in a pre-trial detention center. After a series of accidents involving Valery, acquaintances began to say that his wife was going to leave the actor. However, an official announcement of divorce was made just the other day.

Circus performer Elmira Zemskova told reporters why she was leaving the actor. She said that it was impossible to live with a person like Nikolaev, so she would not change the decision to separate. According to Elmira, she will have to deal with her husband’s debts.

“Valery left me a lot of bills and everything else that I have to sort out now - fines for Infiniti, I didn’t drive my car, but he and not only him drove. He lost my license, I need to restore it now. We need to restore the car, which is currently being repaired. In short, they left me a lot of gifts, I have something to do now,” Zemskova shared.

Nikolaev’s wife noted that such behavior was not typical for the actor when they first got married. Zemskova recalled that Valery organized their entire wedding himself. She was only responsible for the festive menu and chose the wedding dress. The rings that adorned their fingers were shaped like an infinity sign.

“I married a noble, good man when he was completely different. Therefore, of course, it is painful, offensive, and sad that we are getting a divorce. But when you extend your helping hands to a person, and they hit you with sticks, you know, it’s not very pleasant,” the artist said in an interview with LifeNews.

It is noteworthy that Nikolaev himself was not at all saddened by the news of the divorce. He stated that he was glad for this coincidence of circumstances. Let us recall that before his marriage to Zemskova, Valery was officially married once - to Irina Apeksimova. Then for some time the artist had a relationship with Lyubov Tikhomirova. Also, the infamous actor lived in a civil marriage with Daria Poverennova and Tatyana Ovsienko. However, all these novels were short-lived.
