Ekaterina Dvigubskaya was born on October 14, 1974 in Moscow in the family of artist Nikolai Dvigubsky and actress, Honored Artist of the RSFSR, Natalya Arinbasarova.
Ekaterina is the half-sister of director Yegor Konchalovsky. In 1980, six years after the birth of their daughter, Nikolai Dvigubsky and Natalya Arinbasarova divorced. In 1999, Dvigubskaya graduated with honors from the Higher Courses for Scriptwriters and Directors (workshop of Alexander Mitta). As her thesis, she presented the short film “You and Me,” which she filmed based on her own script and in which she starred with her mother. This work became her directorial debut. Ekaterina is the co-author of the biographical book of her mother Natalya Arinbasarova “Moon Roads”, published in 1999, the novel “Poppy Witches”, which was published in 2004, as well as a book about orphanages called “Lost Childhood”, which was published in 2007 year.

In January of this year, 39-year-old actress Lyubov Tolkalina and 51-year-old director Yegor Konchalovsky announced their separation. The couple lived in a civil marriage for almost 20 years, they have a 15-year-old daughter, Masha. Rumors that the spouses do not live together have been circulating for a long time and have finally been confirmed. It turned out that Tolkalina and Konchalovsky separated eight years ago, but all this time they hid the separation from the public. Last night in the “Secret to a Million” program, Yegor Konchalovsky admitted that he is not alone now. The director told the show's host, Lera Kudryavtseva, that he was in love and happy again. Moreover, his new lover has nothing to do with the world of cinema.

“She’s not an actress, she’s a lawyer,” said Yegor. — In relation to me, she’s young. My name is Masha, like my daughter.

When Lera Kudryavtseva asked the director how he met his current chosen one, he first joked: “In prison.” But then he caught himself and added: “In court.”

“She protected me, and I liked it,” Konchalovsky said.

When the host of the show, Lera Kudryavtseva, asked whether Yegor lived under the same roof with his beloved, he replied: “Of course, Masha lives in my house.” The director's mother, actress Natalya Arinbasarova, shares the mansion with the lovers. Konchalovsky showed the film crew his country house with an area of six hundred square meters: the luxurious mansion has four kitchens, five bathrooms, a solarium, and a massage room. At the same time, Natalya Arinbasarova has separate apartments on the ground floor.

“It’s not for nothing that our mothers were so worried that we weren’t suitable for each other,” Lyubov admitted in an interview with Hello! “I understood perfectly well that I was not a match for Yegor, if only because I couldn’t maintain a dialogue in French about the bouquet of wine served and I didn’t understand anything about Rembrandt and Dürer.
