How to sew a Cinderella dress with your own hands. DIY Cinderella carnival costume: description, production. How to make a children's Cinderella outfit from an ordinary dress

Master class for the most patient mothers!
Dress for Cinderella Every girl dreams of being a fairy-tale princess. And every mother makes her childhood dreams come true in clothes for her daughter. The technology of sewing a dress for a little princess will help turn dreams into reality. Looking at a girl in a dress with a huge number of flounces, the first question that arises is, how is this done? So let's start with the most interesting thing, with the highlight of this dress - the skirt.

Materials

Organza - 7.00 m with a width of 3.00 m.

Elegant dress fabric for a 6-blade skirt. The amount depends on the child’s age, height and fullness. Calculate the fabric consumption according to the pattern yourself.

We are building a six-piece skirt. Something like this! FROM:6+2 for assembly

For a girl, Height = 116 cm, OG = 57 cm, OT = 55 cm, the dimensions of one wedge are as follows: top arc length 16 cm, bottom arc length 68 cm, length = 70 cm.

Ruffles will be sewn to each wedge of the skirt.

In the drawings, the lines and the corresponding shuttlecocks are marked in different colors to make the material more visual.

One wedge needs to be drawn in accordance with the drawing. Draw a green line 9 cm from the bottom of the skirt. Horizontal lower flounces are sewn to the green line. In further drawings they will be called green shuttlecocks.

Draw 15 radial lines on one wedge, starting from the green line. Reduce 8 lines by moving 16 cm from the top of the wedge (red lines). Draw the remaining lines in blue.

Vertical flounces will be sewn to the blue and red lines. In the future they will be called blue and red shuttlecocks.

If you want to make the number of shuttlecocks less than on the original, divide the wedge into fewer segments. Or make the wedge itself smaller at the bottom and reduce the number of lines for sewing on the flounces.

CONSTRUCTION OF SHUTTERS:

Shuttlecocks are circles with different inner radii. The width of all shuttlecocks is the same - 10 cm. The circle must be cut in one place along the shared thread. The flounce is sewn onto the inner line of the circle.

Circumference of inner circle = length of corresponding line.

. Measure the red line on the wedge drawing; this is the length of the shuttlecock's inner circumference.

We calculate it using the formula
CIRCLE LENGTH = 2nR, where n = 3.14, hence 6R = line length, which means
R = Line length: 6

Calculate the inner radius of the red shuttlecock. The outer radius will be 10 cm larger. One red shuttlecock is sewn onto one red line.

. Measure the blue line on the drawing. Divide the result by 2. This will be the length of the inner circumference of the blue shuttlecock. Calculate the radius. Blue flounces are joined together in twos, and two joined flounces are sewn onto one blue line. . Measure the green line on the drawing, divide by two. This will be the circumference of the green shuttlecock. Calculate the inner radius. The green flounces are all joined together and sewn onto the green line after the skirt is sewn and all the vertical flounces are sewn onto it.

. Cut 6 skirt wedges. Sew a skirt.

Hem the skirt using a narrow straight stitch.

Cut out all the flounces. In total you will have: blue shuttlecocks - 96, red - 48, green - 12. Join two blue shuttlecocks into one. Dock all the green shuttlecocks together. Finish the outer edges of the flounces with a rolled seam on an overlocker. Use a regular overlock stitch to finish the inner arcs of the flounces.

When processing, fold the flounces in separate piles so as not to get confused later on which line to sew them on. Make notes on the piles: blue, red, green.

We pin along the markings and adjust.

Sew all vertical flounces to their corresponding lines. After this, sew a strip of ruffles to the green horizontal line.

Since the sewing lines are different in size, the radii of the flounces are different.

Therefore, I calculated the internal radii of the flounces depending on the length of the line to which they will be sewn.

Construction of the bodice. Like that!

Materials

Dress fabric 0.3 - 0.8 m with a width of 1.40 m. Fabric consumption depends on the age of the child. For size 116 it took 0.3 m.

. Lining fabric for the bodice of the dress is 0.5 m with a width of 1.40 m.

. Guipure fabric with clearly legible fragments or individual embroidered fragments.

Regilin or spiral bones - 4 pieces: 2x20 cm, 2x16.5 cm in the side and reliefs of the shelf, 4 plastic bones in the bar with eyelets of 14 cm.

Paints for tinting fragments, if you have not found a suitable color for the fabric, zipper, eyelets, lace, beads, crystals.

Bodice assembly technology

. Duplicate the details of the bodice with woven adhesive. . Sew the bodice details. Naturally, for a child, the dress is made to grow, so do not forget to allow allowance under the lacing. In this model it is 7 cm in total for both halves. . Cut out fragments from guipure fabric.

Disney princesses have been winning the hearts of girls of all ages for generations. Cinderella's costume is happily worn by one-year-old babies for their first photo shoot, by 5-year-old beauties at a kindergarten matinee, and even by adult ladies. Of course, demand creates supply and many stores offer their own vision of this outfit. But you can make a Cinderella costume with your own hands - its complexity and cost can vary greatly, depending on your goals, budget and skills. We will look at several different options, each of which is good in its own way.

DIY princess costume: instructions

Bodice

1. In order not to be mistaken with the size, take your daughter’s blouse and, placing it on paper, make a pattern for the top of the dress.

2. Place the pattern on the blue velvet folded in half and cut out the bodice. Don't forget to leave 2 cm allowances on all sides.

3. The back of the bodice of the princess costume consists of 2 parts. They should be identical to the front, only leave a 2 cm allowance in the middle to create a fastener. And the back neckline should be a little less deep.

4. Draw a trapezoid on the wrong side of the silver fabric. Dimensions are approximate. Its upper part should be equal to the width of the cutout. Height - the length of the front. The base is slightly wider than the top (up to your preference). Allowances are 1 cm on each side. Cut out the piece and use pins to attach it to the front piece, tucking in the seam allowances.

5. Sew on the silver insert using a sewing machine.

6. Give the neckline a rounded shape.

7. Decorate the middle of the bodice of the Cinderella costume with decorative braid. First, zigzag in one direction.

8. Then in the other direction.

9. Now trim the sides of the silver insert with braid.

10. Let's move on to working with the back parts. Fold the inner edges over 2 times and stitch.

11. Place 2 back pieces onto the front piece. Match the sides and shoulders (don't forget the overlap for the fastener).

12. Cut the Velcro into 4 equal pieces. Sew 3 pieces of Velcro at equal intervals to the front side of the left shelf. Sew the other side of the Velcro onto the wrong side of the right shelf.

13. Align the parts, placing the right sides together. Sew shoulder seams.

14. Sew the sides.

Sleeves

1. Copy the sleeve pattern onto paper. The base of the part must be at least 12 cm. By increasing the steepness of the edge, you can make the sleeve more magnificent.

2. From white satin, cut out 2 sleeve pieces for Cinderella’s costume, as well as 2 identical rectangles measuring 7.5 x 24 cm.

3. Fold the rectangles in half, right side out, and iron.

4. Place the sleeve on the raw side of the rectangle. Gathering the sleeve evenly in the middle, pin the pieces together.

5. Stitch. Finish the edge with a zigzag. Do the same with the 2nd sleeve.

6. Iron the pieces by folding the cuffs down. The result should match the photo.

7. Fold the sleeves in half and sew an inner seam.

8. Turn the bodice and sleeve parts inside out and pin them together.

9. Use a sewing machine to sew the seams.

10. Finish the edges with a zigzag stitch. Trim off any excess threads.

Neck

1. Turn the bodice right side out.

2. Cut a strip of blue velvet 3 cm wide, approximately equal to the circumference of the neckline. Fold it in half.

3. Sew the ribbon to the front of the cutout.

4. Fold the ribbon inward and stitch so that there is a neat stitch on the front side along the contour of the neckline.

5. Shorten, fold and hem the parts of the ribbon that extend beyond the edges of the neckline.

Petals

1. How can you sew a princess costume with your own hands and leave it without beautiful petals on the sides? Cut a square with a side of 60 cm from white satin.

2. Shape it into a circle.

3. Fold the circle in half. Sew along the rounded side, leaving a small hole. Through it, turn the part right side out. Carefully sew up the hole.

4. Place a basting stitch along the straight side at a distance of 0.5 cm from the edge.

5. Pull the thread and gather the petal.

6. Place it on the side of the bodice so that half of the petal is in front and half in back. Pin the second petal.

7. Sew the petals and finish the edge.

Skirt

1. From blue satin, cut out 2 identical rectangles measuring 110 x 65 cm.

2. Sew the pieces together by connecting the smaller sides. Finish the edge with a zigzag.

3. Place a basting thread along the top edge. Pull the end and gather the skirt, evenly distributing the pleats.

4. Place the skirt of the Cinderella costume against the bodice (right side to right side). Secure the parts with pins.

5. Sew the seam and finish with a zigzag stitch.

6. Turn the dress right side out. It's ready.

Accessories

Headband

1. Make 2 identical parts from blue satin. Measure the circumference of your child's head. The length of each part should be 2/3 of the length of the head. It should widen a little in the middle. Cut out 2 more pieces of the same shape from non-woven fabric. But they should be a little smaller.

2. Using an iron, connect the satin and non-woven parts.

3. Trim the corners of the blue fabric.

4. Place the pieces together, matching the satin sides. Topstitch, leaving only one narrow side unstitched.

5. Turn the bezel to the right side using a pencil.

6. Straighten the part and iron it. Sew up the open edge.

7. Sew an elastic band to the ends of the headband. The headband is ready.

Fingerless gloves

1. Having measured the girl’s hand, cut out 2 parts that widen at the top. Don't forget about allowances. Gloves may be slightly larger than the diameter of the handles. Cut the lower part at an acute angle.

2. Carefully finish the edges without stretching the fabric.

3. Sew an elastic loop to the sharp corner.

4. Use a pin to thread the elastic into the hem of the top. Pull it slightly so as not to pinch the handle and secure it at the edges.

5. Fold the pieces in half lengthwise and sew a seam. Do the 2nd part in the same way. Turn right side out. The gloves are ready.

Necklace

1. Measure your baby's neck circumference. Cut a piece of satin ribbon the same length plus 3 cm.

2. Sew a piece of Velcro to both ends of the tape. It will serve as a clasp.

3. Attach a decorative braid decoration to the center of the necklace on the right side.

The princess costume is ready. You can go to the ball.

Pattern of a real ball gown for Cinderella.

Cinderella dress for a little girl.

The knitted fabric bodice is sewn according to the pattern. To decorate the bodice you need silver braid and a rectangular piece of fabric.

Sleeves with lanterns at the cuffs. The base of the sleeves can be the same fabric structure as the entire bodice or choose a transparent fabric. It is better not to use organza on sleeves, it is itchy.

The skirt for the dress is sewn from a rectangular piece of fabric and gathered along the waist line.

You can see a detailed description of sewing a dress and especially how to sew side bolsters on a skirt here.

You can make a simpler dress for Cinderella, like Sindirella’s. Make a bodice based on a gymnastics leotard and a separate tulle skirt with an elastic band and a corset ribbon on top.

Making a Cinderella costume is actually not that easy. True, you can take a ready-made dress and sew on it elements that, in your opinion, are suitable for the role of Cinderella. You can initially take a beautiful, fluffy dress and simply add gloves and beautiful shoes to it:

Or you can make this Cinderella costume:

The Cinderella costume has become very popular among carnival costumes for the New Year.

Sewing it at home is not difficult. You can even use an old fluffy dress, decorate it with gold fabric or braid, and sew on sparkles. But make the head a tiara.

I really love our domestic film Cinderella, created back in 1947. I remember every moment, actors, songs, jokes very well. a wonderful, kind film that, I think, will not leave anyone indifferent.

I like the cartoon Cinderella, which was presented to us by Walt Disney. In general, each Cinderella was unique and each heroine’s dress was beautiful in its own way. But if we were sewing an outfit for a girl, then I think. that it would be worth choosing a more wearable model.

Sewing a Cinderella dress can be quite simple if you have a pattern for a simple dress. The most important thing is that you have a lot of fabric that is best suited for such a dress.

Every mom has different tastes. But I would take something matte. With all due respect to satin and silk, I would sew it from easy-to-wear fabric from French manufacturers.

We take a pattern for the simplest dress in any sewing magazine. And then we will create and make a little changes to the pattern. It's not difficult at all. We won't adjust the bodice, we'll just make short sleeves later. But we will expand the bottom of the product and make an additional floor-length circle skirt from organza.

Let me tell you right away that this is just my imagination. Every mother can sew the way she sees Cinderella’s dress.

So, let's take a dress pattern. I offer you this pattern:

    ; ki-raduga-desh-svoimi-rukami.html#answer3663128

Now our task is to expand the dress. It's not at all difficult to do. It is worth expanding so that the child is comfortable.

When the pattern is ready, I suggest cutting it out and transferring it to the fabric. Please don't forget about allowances. You can also add length to make the dress look like a real princess.

Making sleeves is very simple. We measure the armhole and build the sleeve directly on the fabric. We make the sleeve cap a regular, slightly wavy shape. Now we make the sun from organza of the same color as the main fabric (or a tone lighter). Simply fold the fabric in half and in half again. Make a circle, cut a hole in the circle that fits your child's waist.

Now you can assemble the dress. We sew two parts of the dress, hem them, and finish the neckline. Then we sew on the already prepared sleeves. And then we sew on a circle of organza. Why would I choose organza? Because it will create lightness and give our dress airiness. For such a dress you can buy gloves and a crown or tiara, it will be very beautiful.

    Sew Cinderella's New Year's costume

you can do it yourself from various materials.
The main elements of such a costume are: dress, petticoat, headband, gloves and shoes. More information about creating such a costume can be found here
    .

For the Cinderella costume you will need gray or brown material, preferably dirty shades. The cut is a long wrap skirt. But you can simply tailor a floor-length skirt that is slightly flared at the bottom. If you wish, you can make several asymmetrical cuts at the bottom so that the skirt looks a little torn. And also cut out a cap in the style of Aunt Laski (from quot; The Kingdom of Crooked Mirrorsquot;) with lapels on the sides. Plus a turtleneck, any blouse. And the Cinderella costume is ready.

The image of a sweet, kind, very beautiful Cinderella is so loved by girls of all ages. It is not surprising that many choose it for the New Year's party.

Of course, you can take an ordinary elegant dress as a basis, add rhinestones and shiny tinsel to it. Or you can sew quot; realquot; Cinderella's dress yourself.

We will need blue satin, organza or tulle with sequins, and a zipper.

We take this sketch as a basis

And let’s take into account that we will sew not only a dress, but also a fluffy petticoat to go with it.

    Let's get started:

Now let's start creating the petticoat.

Let's complement the outfit with long gloves.

And you can create crystal slippers by covering ordinary shoes with blue fabric embroidered with sequins, beads or bugles.

The carriage has arrived, Cinderella is going to the ball!

For those who know how to sew evening dresses and corsets, sewing a Cinderella dress will not be difficult. If you do not have masterful sewing skills, then I think you can sew a simpler option.

For the top, sew a T-shirt from blue velvet jersey. As a pattern, you can use any T-shirt that the child has.

The skirt should be full. You can use tulle (hard tulle on the bottom to give it shape, thin tulle on top of the hard tulle for airiness). It is enough to gather the tulle up to the waist and sew it onto a belt made of blue alta fabric. You can only use satin for the skirt. In this case, it is better to sew a sun or 2-sun skirt.

The top T-shirt will need to be decorated with tulle. Cut a wide, long strip from the tulle. Gather at the places where it is attached to the T-shirt. Decorate with various butterflies, flowers, and beads, which are sold in craft stores and fabric stores.

Many of us, at least once in our lives, wanted to come to a carnival in our own, unique and inimitable costume, an exact copy of which you would never see in the crowd. You can't buy one like this in a store. But what to do if you don’t know how to sew at all and get confused in patterns, threads and pins? Of course, you can order a suit from a master, or you can create it yourself, without even touching a sewing machine. Let's consider one of the simplest and most popular options - the costume of Cinderella, the charming Disney princess.

Sewing a skirt

The skirt for Cinderella's festive costume will consist of 3 layers. The top layer is chiffon, the main layer is satin and a tulle petticoat.

  • Take light blue satin, two waist circumferences wide and length from waist to ankle + 5 cm. Hem the bottom edge. Sew satin along the side edge to create a tube.
  • Measure tulle and chiffon of the same length. Their width can be arbitrary, usually several waist circumferences. Sew the fabric along the sides, just like satin.

Attention! The more tulle you use, the more magnificent the ball gown will be.

  • Sew tulle and chiffon along the waistline and pull it together so that its width matches the width of the satin.
  • Insert tulle under the satin, and chiffon - on it. Sew the fabrics along the waistline, joining them together.
  • Measure a piece of regular elastic (waist circumference + 2.5 cm), cut it and sew it into a ring.
  • Distribute the waist of the three-layer skirt along the elastic band and carefully stitch it.
  • From tulle and white satin, cut and sew 2 circles (radius - 20 cm). Fold them in half and sew them to the waist of the skirt.

When the top and bottom parts of the dress are ready, they need to be turned inside out and sewn. When the costume is ready, you definitely need to buy beautiful shoes to go with it. And hope that little Cinderella won’t lose them at the New Year’s masquerade.

How to make a children's Cinderella outfit from an ordinary dress

A Cinderella costume for a girl is quite simple to make. If the young lady already has a light dress, then she will need to stock up on fabrics (satin, tulle, silk, organza are suitable), ribbons and braid, sparkles and rhinestones, beads and sequins. The fabric should be chosen to match the dress, but for the classic look of Disney's Cinderella, blue and white colors are usually chosen. Wrap the fabric around the skirt of the dress and secure it with a wide ribbon at the waist. A bow neatly tied on the back will look very fabulous. It is important that the resulting skirt covers the legs, but does not restrict the girl’s movements. The finished costume can be decorated with beads, braid and other decorative elements.

Dress of Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge

The second most secret dress after Princess Diana's outfit: nothing was known about the designer of the dress or the approximate concept until the wedding ceremony. Only later did it become known that it was designed by Sarah Burton, creative director of Alexander McQueen. The dress featured a v-neckline, nine-meter train and lace top, as well as padded hips and a Victorian-style corset. Middleton also took tradition into account, adding new earrings from her parents, a blue ribbon sewn into the dress, a tiara borrowed from the royal family, and lace made using ancient technology.

How to make Cinderella's dress from scratch

If a girl does not have a suitable dress, then in order to create a New Year's Cinderella costume, a white or blue plain T-shirt, as well as a tutu skirt, will come in handy. You can take openwork fabric of the same color as the T-shirt, wrap it around the girl’s body and tie it with a bow on the back. To make the sleeves puffy, like a real Cinderella, you should cut out strips of tulle and carefully fasten them to the shoulders of the T-shirt.

By the way, if you don’t have a tutu skirt, then tulle will come in handy here too! You need to take a wide, dense sewing elastic band to match the suit and thin braid. Cut the tulle into about 50 wide strips, they should be twice the desired length of the skirt. Make a belt from an elastic band and fasten it, for example, around a can. Thread each strip of tulle into the elastic so that both free ends of the fabric are the same length. Use braid to tighten the tulle ribbons from above, just under the wide elastic band. When the belt is completely covered with fabric, all you have to do is straighten it. The skirt is ready! The resulting costume can also be decorated with beads or sequins.

How to make glass slippers

It is impossible to create a Cinderella costume with your own hands without glass slippers. You can replace them with silicone ones from the store, or you can make them yourself. To do this, you need to take the girl’s shoes and carefully wrap them in silver foil or soft cloth. Its edges should meet on the sole. Next, you should level the foil or fabric on the sole, apply silicone glue to it and glue the cardboard cut to the shape of the foot. You can decorate fairy shoes with bows from bouquets of flowers or gift wrapping, glue ribbons, pieces of fabric or beads - whatever your imagination allows. After the carnival it will be quite easy to return the shoes to their normal appearance.

By the way, you can simply cover your shoes with sequins or beads, placing them close to each other. These shoes will look very fabulous and elegant, and will definitely please the young princess.

Choosing a hairstyle and jewelry

You need to complete your Cinderella costume with accessories and hairstyle. The easiest way is to curl your curls, decorating them with artificial flowers, ribbons or a tiara. Or you can do a high hairstyle, like Cinderella from the Disney cartoon. This is where the hair donut or sophist twist comes in handy.

First you need to comb your hair well, collect it in a high ponytail and put a donut on its base. Then the hair should be evenly divided on all sides of the accessory and the “structure” should be secured at the base with a thin elastic band. Sticking strands can be tucked under a donut or wrapped around the resulting hairstyle. If the length allows, braid them.

For a sophistic twist, you also need to make a high ponytail, thread it through the slot of the hairpin and distribute the strands along its entire length. Next, you need to carefully twist your hair onto the accessory towards the back of your head. On the last turn, we connect the ends of the sophist twist at the top or bottom. We complete the look with a blue ribbon or headband. As a result, we get an almost 100% Cinderella costume. The photos offered in this article convey all the beauty of a fairy-tale costume.

And, of course, every princess needs jewelry. Silver bracelets, pendants, rings, brooches and earrings, or jewelry made to match this metal are best suited. Pearls, transparent or pale blue stones will look very beautiful. For decoration, you can use satin ribbons tied around the neck or wrists. You can wear long gloves or mittens made of the same fabric as the dress on your hands.

Another Cinderella

Remembering Cinderella's costume, we always imagine her image at the ball. But this princess got her name from a simple dress smeared with ash. So why not try to reproduce it? To do this, we will need a not-so-new dress or sundress in a calm color: pink, brown, blue or green. On top you need to tie a white apron, which is easy to make yourself, for example, from an old sheet. We cut a strip of fabric from the same material and tie it on the head so that it holds the hair. Then the suit needs to be stained with “ash”. To do this, you need to paint an ordinary dish sponge with a black marker and stain your clothes with it. Traces of ash can be made on the girl’s face, but for this it is better to use an eye or eyebrow pencil. Regular shoes without decoration or ballet flats will suit this dress. However, you can also leave the glass slippers, as if Cinderella had just returned from the ball.

Cinderella costume for adults

Carnivals are loved not only by children, but also by adults. Therefore, the Cinderella costume will be an excellent option for girls. It can be made in the same way as for children, but there are several differences. For example, instead of a T-shirt to create a dress, you can use a corset or simply wrap the body with fabric, leaving the shoulders bare. In addition, you need to pay attention to your makeup: it should never be too bright. An excellent option would be the now popular natural make-up: ideal skin tone with a neat blush, soft pink lips, light beige, smoky gray or pale pink shadows, tinted eyelashes and natural eyebrows.

And soooo... I actually started sewing. I started sewing Cinderella's dress. Or rather, petticoats for Cinderella's dress.

Bobbins of fabric for dresses began to be purchased in wholesalers and retail... All different... Different fabric, different colors, different thicknesses, different textures...

And as the dress developed, grew and took on its shape, more and more ideas appeared..

and the more my life changed.. When it began to appear, I was going through a difficult period, and it went through the most different facets of my life and was created in different periods.. And as it turned out, it was truly magical and fateful.

And the more the dress grew and took on shape. The more ideas I had and the more my life changed... It went through a difficult period with me and moved to another city.. And strangely enough. It didn’t get abandoned or wither like many unfinished creative ideas and projects... And the fuller and more interesting my life became, the more magical this dress became...

In order for everything to turn out really beautiful and to be like in a film, I watched this film every day for several months, sometimes several times, so I don’t even know the total number of views... I analyzed some parts of the film frame by frame on slow rewind and screenshotted them. ... to understand all the movements of Cinderella, the dress... to see all the layers of the dress, their order and color. Naturally, the entire Internet was searched in all languages to find all the pictures, behind-the-scenes, all the interviews and everything related to the film. It sounds like fanaticism from the movie X))), but I just tried with all my might to understand what and how this dress was made of, although initially I didn’t pay much attention to it.. The education of a restorer-reenactor played its role - to get to the bottom of all the details. When I started sewing petticoats, at first they weren’t big or fluffy, but the higher the petticoat, the more fluffy it was, the more branches it had. Not all petticoats are presented here, only those that I remembered photographing))

Then endless flounces began to be sewn... the entire floor was littered with endless ribbons of fabric...

Cinderella's dress consists of many fabrics and layers.. They are all different colors and textures, each layer of skirts is a different color and different shape. Each petticoat has multiple layers of flounce sewn into the hem to create a layered effect without adding extra weight. The higher the skirt, the more layers of flounces.

Each of the 13 skirts required from 6 to 20 m of fabric. Depending on the layer and its life and appearance later.

This was done to create a feeling of airiness and fabulousness from the dress... And when it spun, different layers of colored petticoats were visible.

It took a lot of time to create this pile of petticoats, but they were simply necessary to create the desired shape of the dress. The petticoats turned out to be very fluffy and at the same time quite heavy. From below, they completely absorbed the crinople and it was not visible, it felt like the dress was holding its shape only due to the fluffy skirts and there was no crinople there) So, in principle, I achieved exactly what I wanted.

Princess Victoria Mary's outfit

If there was a finely detailed dress in the 19th century, it belonged to the bride of George V: a satin dress with a silver lining was completely embroidered with Honiton lace, decorated with ostrich feathers and orange blossoms. By the way, the wedding might not have taken place at all: Victoria Maria initially refused to engage her lover, being under the influence of her Anglophobic mother. However, later the couple went through a series of awkwardness and tied the knot.

Costume for Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall

For her second wedding to Prince Charles in 2005, Camilla Parker Bowles wore a cream Robinson Valentine dress with an embroidered top. The emphasis was placed on strict straight lines in the silhouette, designed to make the outfit discreet. Instead of a veil, Camilla opted for a feathered hat from Philip Treacy.
