Pumpkin is not only a delicious autumn fruit and a symbol of Halloween, but also an excellent raw material for facial skin care products. The orange vegetable contains a lot of useful substances that stimulate the regeneration of skin cells and moisturize it, maintaining optimal water balance.
Many girls especially love pumpkin masks for their rejuvenating effect: after use, the skin becomes tightened and fresh. For maximum benefit, it is important to choose the right, high-quality fruit with bright orange pulp.
The article presents the most effective recipes for pumpkin face masks, and also recommends a ready-made product from Korean cosmetics.
Beneficial effects of pumpkin on facial skin
A pumpkin face mask gives the skin excellent nutrition, providing it with vitamins: A, C, E, PP and the entire vitamin B group. In addition, pumpkin pulp contains macro- and microelements that promote the proper functioning of skin cells. In ancient China, pumpkin was even called the emperor of the garden for its beneficial properties.
Regular use of masks from this melon culture will make your skin:
- Smooth;
- Soft;
- Elastic;
- Clean, without acne, freckles and age spots.
In case of inflammation, a fresh piece of pumpkin applied to the sore spot will quickly eliminate the problem by activating the protective properties of skin cells. The only harm that pumpkin can cause is an allergic reaction due to individual intolerance to the product. In this case, you should not use pumpkin masks.

If you want to improve the condition of your hair, you should pay special attention to the shampoos you use. A frightening figure - 97% of shampoos from well-known brands contain substances that poison our body. The main components due to which all the troubles on the labels are designated as sodium lauryl sulfate, sodium laureth sulfate, coco sulfate. These chemicals destroy the structure of the curls, the hair becomes brittle, loses elasticity and strength, and the color fades. But the worst thing is that this nasty stuff gets into the liver, heart, lungs, accumulates in organs and can cause cancer. We advise you not to use products that contain these substances. Recently, experts from our editorial team conducted an analysis of sulfate-free shampoos, where products from Mulsan Cosmetic took first place. The only manufacturer of completely natural cosmetics. All products are manufactured under strict quality control and certification systems. We recommend visiting the official online store mulsan.ru. If you doubt the naturalness of your cosmetics, check the expiration date; it should not exceed one year of storage.

Recommendations from cosmetologists
Experts advise not to use a ready-made pumpkin mask for its intended purpose right away, but to test it for allergies first. To do this, take a small amount of the vegetable mixture and apply it to the crook of your elbow. Observe your own sensations for 15-20 minutes. If there is no itching or rash, feel free to use a home remedy to maintain your own beauty.
According to cosmetologists, the effect of using a pumpkin mask will be better if you steam the epidermis before cleansing your face. Thus, the pores will open and the nutritional mixture will penetrate into the deepest layers of the dermis. Steaming the skin is simple: either hold your face over a cup of boiling water or herbal decoction for 1-2 minutes, or apply a terry towel soaked in hot water to it.
If your skin has damage such as scratches, abrasions, wounds, scratches, or if you suffer from dermatitis, it is better to hold off on using the pumpkin mask. Eliminate the problems listed above, then start increasing your attractiveness with the help of a home remedy!

Pumpkin is a low-allergenic vegetable; it is one of the first to be introduced into baby food.

Medium-sized vegetables weighing no more than 5 kg are suitable for masks. Larger fruits may be too watery or, conversely, fibrous and dry.

Queen of the bed
The brighter the color of the pulp, the more beta-carotene it contains, the rejuvenating effect on the skin will be stronger. Do not store cut pumpkin for a long time; it will quickly lose its nutritional value and begin to rot. It is better to freeze any unused pulp.
Before applying pumpkin mixtures, you need to cleanse the epidermis of dirt and residues of decorative cosmetics. Next, steam your face in a special steam room or with a compress from a hot, damp towel.
Do not cook large quantities of pumpkin mixture. Unused remains will quickly lose some of the vitamins. To chop the vegetable, use a grater, a blender, and cut the slices with a knife.
Depending on the condition and type of skin, honey, eggs, fermented milk products, and cosmetic oils are added to the pumpkin mass. You can also add a ready-made cosmetic product based on oils. Gets quite good
The queen of autumn, pumpkin, is a record holder for the content of certain vitamins and an indispensable component of dietary menus. But pumpkin has gained recognition not only in cooking: home cosmetology actively uses the valuable properties of the plant in the preparation of anti-aging face masks.
Helps patients with hypertension

Pumpkin is rich in potassium, which regulates normal blood pressure. The fruit is completely devoid of sodium, which negatively affects the treatment of hypertension. Thanks to pectins, that is, fiber, the vegetable reduces cholesterol levels.
Pumpkin seed oil is rich in natural phytoestrogens, and research shows that it can lead to a significant increase in good HDL cholesterol, along with a reduction in blood pressure, hot flashes, headaches, joint pain and other menopausal symptoms in women.
During cooking, the pumpkin pulp does not lose its properties (many vegetables and fruits lose most of their benefits during heat treatment). So you can fry, stew, boil and bake it.
It is important to store the vegetable in a cool and dry place after purchase. The more intense the color of the vegetable pulp, the more carotenoids it contains.
Benefits of pumpkin for facial skin
Pumpkin pulp contains a lot of fiber, which is useful when the vegetable is consumed internally: when it enters the gastrointestinal tract, plant fiber does not break down along with other substances, but begins to absorb toxic substances that enter the body with food, medicines, and are absorbed through the skin from the air .
Fiber also prevents the development of constipation and helps restore normal intestinal microflora. The consequence of proper functioning of the gastrointestinal tract is healthy skin, so you need to include pumpkin in your diet.
Pumpkin pulp, when used externally as face masks, has the following effects on the skin:
- Antioxidant, anti-aging - it is provided by vitamins A, C, E, beta-carotene.
- Regenerating – vitamin E, microelements in the pulp contribute to the healing of microcracks.
- Improves cellular metabolic processes due to the high content of B vitamins.
- Decongestant - potassium, which is contained in an amount of 204 mg per 100 g of pulp, helps remove excess fluid from cells.
- Tonic - copper in the pulp increases the tone of small blood vessels in the skin, promotes the production of collagen and elastin.
- Softening - occurs due to the starch content.
The complex of active ingredients in pumpkin pulp provides nutrition to dry skin, eliminates dull complexion, and smoothes out fine wrinkles. Pumpkin is also suitable for oily skin; you just need to supplement the composition of the masks with components that reduce shine and oiliness.
Pumpkin seeds for men
Pumpkin seeds are an indispensable preventive product for prostatitis. You need to eat 50-60 raw seeds daily.

Preparation and application of masks
To obtain a positive cosmetic result, some details of the preparation and use of pumpkin masks are important:
- Fruit selection
. The pumpkin should be medium in size, since a fruit that is too small or large may have dry flesh. They also pay attention to the color of the pulp - it should be a rich, bright orange color, which indicates a high content of beta-carotene. - Grinding the pulp
. If the pulp is used raw, it must be crushed as thoroughly as possible, using a fine grater. Grinding boiled pumpkin is not difficult: use a blender or simply rub the pulp through a sieve. - Skin preparation
. Before applying the mask, the skin is cleansed of cosmetics and other impurities using conventional products, then the face is held over steam for 3-5 minutes. You can use a hot, damp towel for steaming, placing it on your face for 5 minutes. These techniques will help open the skin pores and increase the depth of penetration of the active substances of the mask into the epidermis. - Applying a mask
. The mask is applied to the face immediately after preparation, spreading evenly over the skin, and left for 10–20 minutes. Then wash with warm water, moisturize the skin with cream. Leftover masks are not stored.
Pumpkin is a hypoallergenic product, so it can be used on sensitive skin. But, if products that can cause allergies are added to the mask, a sensitivity test must be performed before applying the mask. To do this, apply a little of the prepared composition to the wrist and after five minutes look to see if redness, itching or swelling appears. If these signs are not present, the mask can be applied to the face.
Application in cosmetology
In addition to gastronomic purposes, pumpkin is also very successfully used for cosmetic purposes. Even popular brands often use the plant to create products for youth and beauty. Take, for example, the sensational night mask with pumpkin extract from the famous Korean manufacturer TOO COOL FOR SCHOOL. I tried it myself, and I really liked the effect.
On the beauty market there are a lot of interesting things for the beauty of our skin with pumpkin: alginate masks, essential oils, scrubs, creams, lip balms, etc., and cosmetologists really love this healthy plant for its rich composition.
But believe me, natural pumpkin masks are no worse than store-bought ones. Any pumpkin mask will help soften the skin, rejuvenate, smooth out wrinkles, and, moreover, provide the epidermis with many “goodies” in the form of vitamins, micro- and macroelements.
For homemade recipes, only pumpkin pulp is used; the peel can be safely thrown away. And the consumption of ingredients for one mask is quite insignificant - I always try to pamper my skin with pumpkin “sweets” when I buy a bright vegetable for my culinary masterpieces.

Hello, dear ladies! It's so cold outside today, I don't have the slightest desire to go out anywhere. So I decided to spend the whole day at home. And, of course, take care of yourself. The day is cloudy, and the soul simply requires something bright and cheerful. For example, make yourself a sunny orange mask. Of what? What could be sunnier and more cheerful than a golden pumpkin?
Masks made from it are suitable for both dry skin, on which wrinkles are already visible, and for young skin, prone to oily skin. In general, a pumpkin is a carriage that takes you back to youth and necessarily participates in the transformation of Cinderella into a princess. So I decided to remember the recipes that in my notebook are entitled “Pumpkin for the face against wrinkles.”
Pumpkin ice for face
Rubbing your face with an ice cube every day is a very useful habit that should be introduced into your daily facial care to maintain youth and beauty.
I talked about the benefits and features of the procedure in a separate video on our channel, I advise you to watch the material.
Well, here we will look at several options for preparing healing cosmetic ice from pumpkin.
The easiest option is to simply wipe your face with a piece of raw frozen pumpkin or make ice from pure pumpkin juice.
For this:
- Grate the fresh pumpkin pulp on a fine grater;
- Squeeze out the juice using gauze, pour into an ice container and place in the freezer.
By the way, the remaining cake can be used as a base for a mask or used to make pumpkin cookies.
Yogurt + pumpkin puree
This type of ice is well suited for delicate sensitive skin.
We will need:
- a piece of raw pumpkin;
- yogurt (preferably homemade).
To make ice, make pumpkin puree and mix with yogurt in a 50/50 ratio.
Pour the finished mixture into molds and place in the freezer.
Aloe juice + pumpkin
This version of ice will be an excellent remedy for oily, problematic, inflammation-prone skin.
- Raw pumpkin juice;
- Aloe juice.
The vitamin “duet” of juices can be further enriched with a decoction of chamomile or calendula (for severe skin inflammation).
Lemon + pumpkin juice
This composition tones the skin well, also improves complexion and has a slight whitening effect.
- Pumpkin juice - 1/2 cup;
- Lemon juice - 1 tbsp.
Mix the vitamin components, pour into molds and store in the freezer.
Potato + pumpkin juice
Another recipe with a slight whitening and toning effect, which is worth taking note as an express remedy for combating puffiness and uneven complexion.
- pumpkin juice
- Raw potato juice
Let me remind you that you should wipe your face along the massage lines after thoroughly cleansing the skin.
Pantry of vitamins
Do you know why the pumpkin is so red? This is from carotene. There is more of it in it than in carrots. And there are more than enough other vitamins. It contains:
- Vitamin C,
- B1 (protects skin from ultraviolet radiation),
- B2 (anti-inflammatory effect),
- PP (nicotinic acid),
- folic acid,
- E – tocopherol, which has a rejuvenating effect on the skin.
But in cosmetology there is no price for it. After all, a thick red pumpkin contains a whole bunch of antioxidants and enzymes, microelements (manganese, iodine, zinc, copper, cobalt). And also minerals: iron, phosphorus, potassium, magnesium - the last two, by the way, are vitamins for the heart and help get rid of edema; starch that softens and moisturizes the skin and much, much more.
Everything about this garden beauty is useful: the pulp, the juice, and the seeds. That’s why the reviews from cosmetologists about this vegetable are simply enthusiastic.
Important!
Despite the high content of vitamins, pumpkin does not cause allergies. There are practically no contraindications to its external use. Therefore, you can make any masks with pumpkin, the components of which suit you.
Home workshop
You can make an absolutely incredible amount of pumpkin masks at home. Raw, boiled, and baked fruits are suitable for this. The main thing is to apply them correctly.
Is it possible to make a mistake here? Yes, easily! If you have dry skin, and you made a drying mask from Cinderella’s favorite vegetable with lemon and tomato juice, it won’t do much good.
The same vitamin mask from boiled pumpkin, depending on your needs, is made differently:
- for normal skin - with yogurt,
- for fatty foods - with sour cream,
- for dry - with cream.
And, as always, you should definitely cleanse your skin before applying the mask. And ideally, also steam it. Then our pumpkin will have the best effect on the skin - regardless of its type.
We can talk about pumpkin endlessly, but I want to give only those recipes that have already been tested and are in my notebook. So, anti-aging masks from the “queen of vegetable gardens”.

Tonic, lotion, scrub
Pumpkin juice perfectly tones the skin. It is full of benefits: it nourishes, refreshes the skin, saturates it with antioxidants, fights freckles and age spots. It can be used either freshly squeezed or frozen (cryotherapy effect).
For the body, you can make it from boiled pumpkin pulp and brown sugar, taking half a glass each and adding olive oil and honey (a tablespoon each). If desired, you can add a spoonful of coffee grounds.
Facial scrub - half a cup of pumpkin puree with three tablespoons of brown sugar and a spoonful of pumpkin seed oil (you can buy it at the pharmacy).

- So you need to wait at least half an hour, and preferably 40 minutes. Rinse off with warm water.
Don't forget about the seeds
I would like to say separately about the benefits of seeds. A “decoction of youth” is prepared from them. Take a liter of cool water for a glass of crushed seeds, pour in, bring to a boil, leave for 3-4 hours, filter. Cosmetologists speak of this decoction as simply invaluable for washing. It's a pity, it doesn't last long: a couple of days in the refrigerator - before that time it should be used.
In general, my day was not in vain, although it didn’t start well. I made a mask from one pumpkin, put the broth in the refrigerator, washed myself with a scrub, and also made a sweet cake. And I even wrote an article for you, my dear readers. I hope my recipes will help you. Stay beautiful – and don’t forget to subscribe for updates.
