Do you want to remember the taste of crispy and incredibly tasty straws that you knew from childhood? Then you just need this simple and always successful option on how to make waffle dough in an electric waffle iron.

How to prepare “Waffle dough in an electric waffle iron”

1. The list of ingredients you will use for this simple waffle batter recipe in an electric waffle iron is quite limited.

2. Melt the butter in a heatproof bowl. Set aside to cool. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs with sugar (you can also use powdered sugar and vanilla).

3. Then gradually pour the cooled butter into the egg mixture and continue whisking. The mass should be airy and homogeneous.

4. The last ingredient will be sifted flour. Mix everything well. That's the whole secret of how to make waffle dough in an electric waffle iron.

5. When the waffle iron has warmed up well, pour a little batter into the center and cover with a lid. The first few pieces will take longer to fry, and then you just have time to remove the waffles and pour in new dough.

6. Roll the finished waffles (optional) and fill. Tasty, easy, and most importantly - homemade!

How to make Belgian waffles with blueberry sauce

1. Place yeast and 1 tablespoon sugar in a bowl. Pour in 1/2 cup of warm water. Stir and let stand until foamy, about 8 minutes.

2. Add milk, butter, flour, and then beat until smooth. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let rise overnight at room temperature (for slightly sour waffles) or in the refrigerator (for sweet waffles).

3. In the morning, preheat the oven to 93 degrees and place 6 plates on a baking sheet. Preheat the waffle iron. Add eggs, soda, salt and vanilla extract to the dough, beat until smooth.

4. Spray the waffle iron with oil spray. Pour 3/4 to 1 cup of batter onto hot waffle iron.

5. Cook until waffle is well browned, 4 to 5 minutes. Place the finished waffle on a plate on a baking sheet in the oven. Repeat with remaining dough.

6. Meanwhile, in a small bowl, combine remaining 2 tablespoons sugar and cinnamon. Heat blueberries in a saucepan over medium heat. Add sugar, a little water and cornstarch. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens. It takes less than 10 minutes.

7. Drizzle blueberry sauce over waffles and serve with bananas, maple syrup, cinnamon sugar and vanilla yogurt.

Recipe for thin sheets

A waffle iron, produced and purchased back in Soviet times, can still serve its owners “faithfully” today, without failing under any circumstances. Unlike many modern samples, it first requires thorough heating.

With its help, you can actually prepare original dessert rolls and thin waffles, which are served with jam, ice cream or whipped cream. The recipe is so simple that no questions arise during the process.

Ingredients needed to prepare waffles in a Soviet electric waffle iron:

  • High fat sour cream – 30 g;
  • Flour – 460 g;
  • Soda – 5 g;
  • Chicken eggs – 5 pieces;
  • Vanilla sugar – 4 g;
  • Flour – 260 g;
  • Butter or margarine – 250 g;
  • Condensed milk - three quarters of a glass (ready boiled is better);
  • Granulated sugar - 1 heaped glass.

Cooking time: 10 minutes. Calorie content: 350 kilocalories.

Preparing thin waffles in a Soviet electric waffle iron:

  1. Boil condensed milk (usually in a tin);
  2. Beat the eggs thoroughly together with granulated sugar (so that every single grain melts);
  3. The butter is allowed to melt and added to the resulting mass;
  4. Vanilla sugar, soda and flour are also poured there;
  5. Pour in sour cream;
  6. Knead the dough;
  7. Warm up the electric waffle iron thoroughly;
  8. Lubricate the desired surface with oil (vegetable or butter);
  9. Pour the resulting mass into the mold and level it;
  10. Cover with a lid and bake for three minutes;
  11. While still hot, the waffle is taken out, rolled into a tube and filled with condensed milk using a culinary syringe.

The waffles can be frozen for future use and then reheated in the toaster. In general, a toaster perfectly “refreshes” cooled waffles and gives them crispiness (I don’t know if there is such a word) on top with a soft center.

BUCKWHEAT WAFERS Well, with buckwheat, or rather, with buckwheat flour. It's easy to grind from cereal, I think. The author believes that buckwheat has a strong, specific smell, so he suggests adding a little of this flour. 1 room temperature egg, divided into yolk and white 1 cup flour 1/4 cup buckwheat flour 1 tsp. baking powder 1/8 tsp. salt 3/4 cup milk 4 tbsp. drain butter, melted and cooled Prepare as before. recipe, i.e. beat egg whites, etc. By the way, you can skip this step and cook from a whole egg. There is a difference in taste, but there is less fuss. Mix everything dry separately, then everything wet. Pour the wet into the dry and mix. Gently fold in the whites last. All of these recipes can easily be doubled. 1 tbsp. honey

NUT WAFERS can be made from walnuts, almonds, pecans (very similar to walnuts), Brazilian, macadamia, hazelnut, sunflower seeds and a mixture of them. 1 room temperature egg, divided into yolk and white 1 1/4 cups flour, white or bran 1 tsp. baking powder 1/8 tsp. salt 3/4 cup milk 1 tbsp. brown sugar (this is unrefined) 4 tbsp. drain butter, melted and cooled or walnut butter 1/3 cup chopped nuts Prepare like all previous waffles, adding the nuts just before the beaten egg whites. There are about 20 recipes for nut wafers, for example, with pistachios or nut wafers with dates and raisins.

CHEESE WAFERS They can be frozen, but they taste best while still hot. 1 egg at room temperature, separated into white and yolk 1 cup flour 1 teaspoon baking powder (baking powder) 1/8 tsp. salt 1 tbsp. spoon of sugar 1/8 tsp. soda 3/4 cup milk 1/2 cup cottage cheese 4 tbsp. butter, melted and cooled Beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form and set aside. Mix all the dry ingredients and set aside. Mix the yolk, milk, cottage cheese and butter. Pour this liquid into the flour mixture and stir. Gently fold in the beaten egg whites. You shouldn’t be too zealous at this stage, otherwise the dough may fall off. In this recipe, you can replace cottage cheese with yogurt or ricotta. This bakes in my waffle iron for 5-6 minutes. If the waffles are not crispy, try baking longer or using less liquid in the batter.

CRANBERRY WAFFLES 1 egg at room temperature, separated into yolk and white 1 cup white flour 1 tsp. baking powder 1/8 tsp. salt 3/4 cup cranberry juice 2-3 tbsp. chopped cranberries to taste 1 tbsp. honey 3 tbsp. melted and cooled butter Note: juice 25%, i.e. juice+water+sugar. It is recommended to serve with cranberry butter: 100g softened butter, 2 tbsp. powdered sugar, 1/8 tsp. orange zest, 3 tbsp. fresh cranberries.

POTATO WAFERS 1 egg, room temperature, separated into yolk and white 1 cup white flour 1 tsp. baking powder 1/8 tsp. salt 1/2 cup potato starch 3/4 cup potato broth or just water 1 tbsp. sugar 4 tbsp. melted and cooled butter POPPY WAFFLES 1 egg, room temperature, separated into yolk and white 1 cup white flour 1 tsp. baking powder 1/8 tsp. salt 1 tbsp. sugar 2 tsp - 1 tbsp poppy seeds 3/4 cup milk 1 tsp. almond extract 4 tbsp. melted and cooled butter

MEAT WAFERS are meant from cooked poultry or ham, as another opportunity to use up leftovers, which is actually a big problem after Thanksgiving - throwing away is a sin, but no one bothers anymore. 1 egg at room temperature, divided into white and yolk 1 cup with a quarter of flour, white or bran 1 tsp. baking powder 1/8 tsp. salt 1 tsp. sugar 3/4 cup milk 2 tbsp. drain butter, melted and cooled 1/2 cup cooked shredded chicken, turkey or ham Prepared in the same way as previous recipes. Mix the meat before the protein. As always, it is very important to fold in the egg whites gently and not overmix at this stage.

ORANGE-BANANA WAFFLES This book has a whole chapter of fruit wafers, which starts with apple and ends with pineapple-papaya with pumpkin in the middle. I chose these fairly common winter fruits. 1 egg at room temperature, divided into white and yolk 1 cup white flour 1 tsp. baking powder 1/8 tsp. salt 1 tbsp. sugar 1/2 cup orange juice 1/3 cup banana puree 4 tbsp. drain butter, melted and cooled There are no surprises in making these waffles. See above. For just banana waffles, the amount of puree is increased to 1 glass, instead of juice, the same amount of milk and 2-3 tbsp are taken. chopped nuts. Everything else is the same as always. Additives include cranberries, oats, carrots, cherries, strawberries, etc.

CRUBBED WAFFLES WITH CINNAMON Mix butter, flour, sugar, cinnamon, salt. Add beaten eggs. Mix well and bake. 150g butter, 150g flour, 4 eggs, 2/3 tbsp sugar, cinnamon, salt.

WAFFLES PLAIN OR WITH BANANAS 2 eggs 2 cups of kefir 1 tsp. soda 2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 2 cups flour 1/2 cup melted butter Beat the eggs well, add the rest of the ingredients and beat well, add the butter and stir well. Optional: add a cup of well-mashed bananas, 1 tbsp. sugar and 1 tsp. lemon juice
