Beauty contests in Lugansk - how and why? Interview with organizer Yulia Bayramova

Tours for the beauty contest in Avataria

In addition to official events, users can hold a beauty contest in Avataria. Often carried out among female characters who have reached level above 5th. Participants choose an outfit that matches the given theme.

How to hold a beauty contest?

To organize a beauty contest in Avataria, you must make sure that your account complies with the rules and recommendations:

  1. Profile level is higher than fifth. Access to creating an event opens after the initial stages of the game.
  2. Availability of room and furniture for it: chairs, armchairs or sofas.
  3. Compose text for tours.

Tours are categories for dressing up within one competition, that is, during the event, characters need to change their appearance several times. Organizers can conduct typical or unusual tours.

Instructions for creating an event:

  1. Open the " Places " tab.
  2. In the window that opens, select the category "Events».

  3. Create a new one, enter a description, name, set parameters.

  4. Going to the venue, open "Room editor" Buy a set of goods from the store to accommodate applicants.

  5. Place it in the room, wait for the first visitors.

At the end of the competition, participants receive gifts from the author of the competition. It is carried out through an exchange, where the winner exchanges inexpensive items for significant rewards. The event creator should take care of gifts in advance.

You can attend open events or create them yourself. For closed parties, set the parameters below the description. The player can set requirements regarding the level of participants, access only for friends or only VIPs.

The first to appear in the ranking are those whose authors have reached a level above tenth and have a high “ Style ” and “ Apartment Comfort ” indicator. To hold a competition in Avataria, you need to know what tours there are.

Varieties and rules

At such a festival, there are rules that help to choose the winner and organize the event correctly. Popular options include beauty contests:

  • in leaps and bounds. Chairs are installed in the room, which are moved if the character wins the round. Those whose seats are next to the opposite wall advance to the finals;

  • paired There are two characters involved who must dress in the same color or their images are combined with each other;
  • simple. Those present sit on sofas and armchairs. If the hero's appearance does not correspond to the theme of the tour, then he is eliminated.

Most prefer atypical options, where participants will have to try hard with the choice of hairstyle, clothes and accessories.

The author of one type of competition was video blogger Anabel Kat: Avatar is the main focus of her channel. An active user proposed an event of paired races and a standard type.

To learn more about the event, you can watch a video on the YouTube channel dedicated to this issue.

In the Avatar horse racing competition, the rules are simple:

  1. The number of participants depends on the organizer and his capabilities.
  2. Unusual list of tours.
  3. The selection of eliminated players is carried out by voting in the chat.
  4. The waiting time for all characters is the same - no more than five minutes.
  5. A player can be two rounds behind his opponents, after which he is eliminated.
  6. As soon as the player is ready, he writes a message to the general chat and puts “+”.

Mannequins for Avatar

Avatar pair horse racing requires a partner: a boyfriend or a girlfriend. The judge announces a list of topics where the character should be dressed in the same shade as his partner or choose matching outfits.

Tips and tricks

Many organizers prefer original ideas: creating the image of a fishing line fairy, meeting with the Queen of Britain, or dressing up like a madman. The profile should contain not only purchased outfits, but also standard ones.

By winning the competition, the user does not receive any official rewards. You can organize a beauty contest according to your personal rules by coming up with non-standard categories for the tours. Examples are:

  • scary costumes. The tour is dedicated to Halloween or horror films;
  • work clothes. No office style, just hard work and dark shades in outfits;
  • Magic world. Users must portray one of the characters from fairy tales;
  • marine theme. Choose the clothes of a real sailor.

It’s not difficult to come up with categories, the main thing is to implement them in accordance with the catalog of things in the Avataria store.

"Miss Monkey": the strangest beauty pageants

Miss "Drumsticks"

In the American state of Arkansas, every year on Thanksgiving Day the Miss Drumsticks competition is held: contestants cover their bodies and faces with posters depicting a turkey (a symbol of Thanksgiving), and the judges evaluate exclusively the beauties' legs. The winner becomes the heroine of a popular talk show, where she finally reveals her face.

Miss Monkey

To select actresses who would take part in the filming of the fifth film in the Planet of the Apes franchise, in 1972 Gary Owens came up with a very unusual beauty contest. Its participants fulfilled all the standard requirements of such competitions, but throughout the entire process they appeared in public exclusively in a monkey mask. The winner was Dominic Greene, who played the main role in the fifth film, “Battle for the Planet of the Apes.”

Miss "Perfect Posture"

From 1956 to 1969, a competition was held in the USA, in which not the beautiful girls themselves took part, but... their x-rays! They were made in three projections, standing straight, on the left leg and on the right leg, and the girls stood on special platforms-scales that showed the distribution of weight between the two feet. For the winner of the first competition, Louis Conway, this distribution was impeccable: 50 to 50.

Miss Transgender

Since 2013, Brazil has held a beauty contest for men who consider themselves women and look like women. The rules of the competition are standard, and the prize for the winner is gender reassignment surgery. The competition invariably generates heated discussions about ethics, homophobia and morality, but the sponsor of the competition, the International Society for the Defense of Human Rights, believes that its holding should increase the level of tolerance in the country.

Miss Pin-up

No bikinis, just curves and seductive retro dresses - the competition, which celebrates the style of the 50s, is incredibly popular in Australia. The latest winner, Scarlett Rose, said in her triumphant speech that she sees the competition as "a celebration of true femininity - as opposed to what is happening in the fashion world today."

Miss Short Hair

The competition lasted only a few years, but in the United States it is considered a very significant phenomenon. Protesting against corsets and other attributes of traditional women's wardrobe, feminists of the 20s cut off their long hair and wore short hair. Adherents of the patriarchal scheme called these hairstyles ugly, dorkish and repulsive. The authorities of the small city of Coral Gables in Florida decided to support feminists and organized a competition in which only those with short hair could take part. Incredibly, it worked: girls increasingly began to prefer short hairstyles, condemning the owners of such hairstyles became bad manners, and the hairdressing business in the states went uphill sharply.

Miss "Convicted Murderer"

The competition is held in Brazil, and only girls imprisoned who have committed murder can participate in it. In addition to external data, the jury evaluates the education of the girls, their behavior in prison and reviews of the guards. The latest winner was Rebecca Raisa Suelen Gedesin, a 19-year-old killer from the Brazilian city of Recife.

Miss "Prostitute"

Wait to choke with indignation, that’s what the organizers were counting on. The competition was first held by Natalia Fabia in 2012 in Los Angeles. She chose the original name - Miss Hooker - not by chance, understanding how the audience would be shocked. In fact, in an interview, Fabia admitted that she wanted to hold a competition between talented girls who make money by selling their creativity. Natalia's idea was to show the Hollywood community beautiful young gifted artists, singers, sculptors, writers and composers. The provocative name worked: the competition attracted the attention of the press and was widely covered.

Miss Atomic Bomb

Inspired by the first launch of the atomic bomb in the United States in 1952, entertainers in Las Vegas launched the Miss Atomic Bomb competition. In fact, it was an ordinary beauty contest, but in every image and at every stage the girls had to somehow beat a nuclear explosion. The competition was very successful for several years in a row, and the most famous “Atomic Bomb” was Lee Merlin in 1957. Obviously, Lee copied the image from Marilyn Monroe.

Miss Holocaust Survivor

If all the other competitions in our selection could only cause a smile, then this one reminds us of terrible days in the history of mankind. A competition for elderly ladies is held in Israel in memory of the terrible catastrophe that the Jews experienced. The age of the participants ranges from 74 to 97 years, during the competition they wear evening dresses, sportswear and perform in front of the audience, telling their story of survival. 300 women took part in the last competition. Unfortunately, the number of participants decreases every year.

— Was anyone from your circle against your going to the competition? “When I went to the casting, I didn’t tell anyone about it except my boyfriend.
