Elizaveta Shevyrkova became the third legal wife of the popular Russian actor Marat Basharov. In gossip columns from 2015-2016, their story was a beautiful example of love between a fan and a movie star.

early years

Elizaveta was born on November 7, 1986 in Moscow into a simple family. They and their brother Fedor were raised only by their mother; there was no father. Therefore, from childhood, Elizabeth dreamed of a full-fledged and happy family.

At the age of 13, Lisa saw the film “The Barber of Siberia” and at first sight fell in love with Marat Basharov in the image of the cadet Polievsky. Since then, Lisa watched all the films with this actor, read his interviews, cut out photographs from newspapers and magazines and hung posters on the wall. When information about the wedding of Basharov and Elizaveta Krutsko appeared in the press, the girl was very upset.

Childhood and youth

Elizaveta Krutsko was born on August 17, 1972 in Moscow. Her parents were simple people, not distinguished by high income or social status. There is not much information about Krutsko’s early years.

As a child, Lisa dreamed of becoming a ballerina; she really liked to dance, but her excess weight prevented her from doing it professionally. But the girl herself persistently studied the art of ballet from books and videos. With age, Elizabeth lost weight, but the desire to master a creative profession remained. The girl wanted to get an education as a theater artist.

Elizaveta still entered VGIK, but as an economics major.

Education and career

Elizaveta graduated from one of the Moscow schools and went to study at the University of Economics. Shevyrkova is an economist and analyst by profession. In 1999, she got a job at a bank as an assistant director.

Shevyrkova received a good salary, which was enough to live in her own apartment in Moscow and a personal car. It was her financial independence that forced the actor to take her fan seriously.

First marriage

While still a student, Lisa met Georgy Rumyantsev. This was an aspiring actor from Orenburg who came to make a career in Moscow. The acquaintance happened by chance on the street, but led to stormy feelings, and soon the lovers got married and lived together in the apartment of Elizabeth’s grandmother.

The main problem of Krutsko’s first marriage was the intemperance of her husband. He often drank, could not return from parties for days, cheated and raised his hand to his wife. The spouses often quarreled and argued, separated and got back together. It was against the backdrop of this personal drama that she met Marat Basharov, to whom Lisa left in 1997.

Relations with Marat Basharov

Elizabeth herself initiated the acquaintance with her idol. In the winter of 2012, the girl went to the theater for a play, one of the roles in which was performed by Marat Basharov. After the performance, Elizabeth gave the actor a bouquet of flowers, and upon returning home, she decided to write to him on Facebook. Shevyrkova sent Marat one short message: “Invite me on a date.”

I had to wait six months for a response to this message. The girl had already decided that the actor hadn’t even read it. But in September, Marat nevertheless wrote to Lisa with an offer to meet her. At first they only communicated online, but after a short period of time, Basharov invited the girl to a restaurant for a romantic dinner.

The actor expertly looked after Elizabeth: he invited her to ski and bike, showered her with flowers and came by car to pick her up from work. But after some time, their communication began to fade, and from the media Elizaveta learned about the affair between Basharov and Ekaterina Arkharova, whom the actor later married.

Lisa did not insist on continuing the relationship; she worked hard and went on dates with other men. But at the end of 2014 I heard about a terrible scandal involving Basharov and his new wife. Ekaterina Arkharova was hospitalized with multiple bruises and abrasions, and accused her ex-husband of inflicting these beatings. Lisa didn’t believe that Marat was capable of this, so she decided to write him words of support. Basharov answered her, and communication began again. Already in May 2020, Elizabeth and Marat began living together, and in July 2016, their son Marcel was born. During pregnancy, Shevyrkova quit her job, and her common-law husband supported their family. Lisa has a good relationship with her lover’s daughter from her first marriage, Amelie. They often took her with them on vacation to other countries. In September 2020, Basharov and Elizaveta officially became husband and wife.

At the beginning of this year, according to media reports, Basharov divorced his wife and mother of his son Elizaveta Shevyrkova. The initiator of the separation was Lisa herself, whose nose the artist broke at the end of last year. Marat was very worried for some time and denied the fact of the divorce, but by now he seems to have come to his senses. StarHit obtained footage of Basharov in the company of a stranger.

“Marat is now in Sochi, he came here in the company of friends for a hockey tournament,” people surrounded by the artist told StarHit. “Spends time with an unknown lady.”

However, the actor’s friend, who was with him at the moment the photograph was taken, denied Marat’s affair with the woman.

“We were walking to the car when this girl approached us, she was drunk. Marat was absolutely sober. She began to pester him, asking him to take at least one photo. He agreed, although he was not very happy. And then this picture ended up in the media... By the way, he didn’t divorce his wife, he just couldn’t come with her today,” the man told StarHit.

More recently, Marat was happy in his third marriage with Elizaveta Shevyrkova. The couple has a son, Marcel, who was born on July 28, 2020. And the wedding itself took place on September 9, 2017. The couple raised a child, renovated their apartment and planned to rebuild their country house. Marat worked hard to provide a comfortable existence for his family, and Lisa took care of the housework.

The idyll ended on December 27, when it became known that Shevyrkova was hospitalized with a broken nose. Elizabeth’s brother Fedor told StarHit that Marat broke his sister’s nose. “It happened today. She is in the hospital,” the relative said. As it became known, Lisa and her mother spent the whole night in the emergency room, and now she is sleeping after the stress she suffered.

However, Shevyrkova herself remained silent until the very end and hoped that Basharov would come to his senses, ask for forgiveness and they would be able to save the family. “I was waiting for Marat to find the strength and the right words to comment on this situation,” Elizaveta wrote on her Facebook. “But he again pretends that nothing happened and everything is fine.” I am very sorry that he has no desire to be cured and end this illness for the sake of our family, for the sake of his children, for the sake of his career. There was a lot of good things, a lot of effort, patience and love were invested. The greatest happiness that has happened in my life is our son Marcel.”

According to the victim’s lawyer Nelly Makarova, Marat has been sent an agreement on alimony, which must be signed by a notary. The human rights activist noted that for the sake of the child, the ex-spouses will maintain good relations. Later it turned out that the reason for the scandals was Basharov’s abuse of alcohol. Allegedly, an artist can drink heavily, quarrel with his wife, and the next day not remember what happened.

Despite everything, Shevyrkova decided to maintain an even relationship with the offender for the sake of her son Marcel, in whom they both dote. After the divorce, Basharov did the manly thing and transferred one of his apartments to Lisa’s name so that she would have a place to live and raise their common child. Rumor has it that the woman is still very worried about the divorce.

Divorce

In the winter of 2020, news appeared that Elizaveta Shevyrkova was hospitalized after her husband beat her. Later, she herself confirmed this information, saying that similar incidents had happened before, but she tolerated and did not bring scandals to the public, since Marat promised to improve.

On March 21, 2020, Elizabeth officially divorced Marat. Neither she nor her ex-husband came to the court hearings. The actor voluntarily gave one of his apartments in Moscow to his wife and son. Elizaveta receives alimony and financial assistance for the child from Basharov. But relations between the former spouses remain tense. Liza repeatedly complained that Marat allowed himself to be drunk with the child.

From this marriage, Shevyrkova realized that a person prone to violence cannot change, so you need to leave him as soon as possible.

What will happen to Marat Basharov after his wife admits to domestic violence?Elizaveta and Marat Basharov
On February 22, a conciliatory conversation between 44-year-old Marat Basharov and his still legal wife Elizaveta Basharova took place in the Babushkinsky District Court of Moscow. Both spouses, by the way, were unable to attend the conversation. Apparently, their legal representatives spoke instead of them at the meeting. The court gave the couple a period (from two weeks to three months) to think and make a final decision. If the parties do not reconcile, then divorce proceedings will begin. SPLETNIK.RU will monitor the development of the situation, but in the meantime we turned to experts and asked a lawyer, human rights activist and film producer to comment on the situation and tell us what might threaten the artist Basharov.

On February 16, Elizaveta Basharova (Shevyrkova) filed for divorce in the Babushkinsky District Court of Moscow. While on vacation in Thailand, the woman published a post on her Instagram with which she put an end to her painful relationship with the artist.

Elizaveta Basharova, wife of Marat Basharov:

It’s a shame to live in this, a shame to hide, a shame to talk about. Now there is no point in hiding. I was waiting for Marat to find the strength and the right words to comment on this situation, but he again pretends that nothing happened and everything is fine. I am very sorry that he has no desire to be cured and end this illness for the sake of our family, for the sake of his children, for the sake of his career.

The couple has a son, so the spouses will need to determine the amount of alimony and decide with whom the child will live. Previously, Elizabeth’s brother spoke about episodes of domestic violence in the Basharov family. Last December, Basharov allegedly broke his wife’s nose. Marat Basharov’s ex-wife, Ekaterina Arkharova, publicly spoke about domestic violence on the federal television channel back in 2014.

Ekaterina Arkharova, ex-wife of Marat Basharov:

I fell on this glass. He stands and says with a grin: “Well, did you get it?” Then he opened the door and threw me out into the street. For the first week I couldn’t eat, I couldn’t sleep, I couldn’t drink, I couldn’t breathe. How everything explodes. How much everything hurts.

Tatyana Tarasova, Honored Figure Skating Coach of Russia, then publicly stood up for Basharov’s wife. On Channel One, the woman forced the artist to apologize for beating his wife.

Ekaterina Arkharova

Apart from this episode, there was no public outrage about the artist’s behavior. After Ekaterina Arkharova’s confession to Andrei Malakhov, Basharov’s career seems to continue to develop successfully. The artist’s filmography was replenished with eight roles, including work in the films “Moving Up” and “Hero”, as well as in the mini-series “Women’s Battalion” and “Drunk Firm”.

Anna Rivina, Candidate of Legal Sciences, Director:

This is not the first case of violence for Basharov. However, there are no obvious reputational costs for him. Even after the first scandal, there were people who changed their attitude towards him, but they were a minority. We don't have a law that would punish him for this. We do not have a law that would allow the victim to seek help at the right time and in the right way. But we have a socio-cultural model of behavior that considers this permissible. We live in a country with a patriarchal structure, where there is a culture of violence. This means that the use of domestic violence is normalized in our country. We have a problem with the institution of reputation, this applies to both the electoral process and the corruption component. We know everything and everyone, but everyone has tolerance and habit for it. In addition to his film career, Basharov continues to star in the top-rated television show on the TNT channel “Battle of Psychics,” which he has been hosting for 11 years in a row. Probably, viewers of the program do not express dissatisfaction in the show’s groups on social networks.

We understand that the end consumer will not be dissatisfied when he sees Basharov’s face in some “Battle of Psychics.” The question of attitudes towards violence is a systemic issue. We live in a society where it is possible. Where there are no risks to continue working with such people. Many people who surround him may indeed not find anything immoral in his behavior,

- says Anna Rivina.

The problem of domestic violence in the families of public people, including in Hollywood, is also widespread. Writer and producer Lisa Astakhova, who lives and works in Los Angeles, says the female celebrity community in Hollywood is very strong. This means that a public statement about an act of violence can help the victim in the fight for their rights.

Lisa Astakhova, screenwriter and producer:

Here women file a police report. There is no other option. And abusers often receive punishment, sometimes conditional punishment. Here Sean Penn was sitting, Christian Bale was arrested in 2008. They receive their punishment, serve it, and then only society accepts them back. Almost every actor we know, from Sean Penn to Alec Baldwin, has all been a wife beater at some point in their lives. The last case is Johnny Depp. Nothing happens to their careers after the incidents, but there is a big fundamental difference. All these Hollywood actors who were seen committing abuse were punished. Marat Basharov lives and lives as he lived. He does not bear any punishment for this. Except for the public repentance that he once did.

On Friday, February 22, the Basharovs were supposed to meet to discuss the divorce suit filed by Elizaveta. The court hearing was held behind closed doors, and the spouses were given time for reconciliation.

As it happened with Johnny Depp and Amber Heard: she sued, and then they made a settlement. Both ordinary people and celebrities are punished for violence. Nobody is afraid. Women here have a different mentality; they are not afraid to go and write a statement against their husbands if they have suffered. There is a famous story about Madonna suing Sean Pena in 1989.

- recalls Lisa Astakhova.

From a legal point of view, laws that protect women from domestic violence are in the criminal and administrative codes. To bring the rapist to justice, it is necessary to call the police and record the beatings.

Anton Samokha, lawyer:

What to do: Call the police and an ambulance. They must register the fact of violence. Record the beatings: redness, bruises, bruises. It is important to point out the face - the person who committed the violence. You need to actively work with police officers; probably, the officer who arrives when called will not continue to deal with your case. The case materials must be handed over to the district police officer. He will already give you a referral for a medical examination, and you will be able to undergo it for free.

But in practice this often doesn't work. According to lawyer Ekaterina Dukhina, women are more likely to hush up problems, considering admitting beatings a disgrace.

Ekaterina Dukhina, lawyer:

Our main difficulty for a lawyer is to convey to the female victim the idea of the need to fight in such a situation for herself, and not for the relationship. Because if you were beaten, your actions are an examination at the emergency room, a statement to the police and a claim to the court for divorce, and not an attempt to have a heart-to-heart talk with him and find out why. And the majority believes that even talking about beatings is a shame and that everything will somehow be tolerated and loved. A fur coat and a ring - and you can completely forget about a broken jaw. Really, until next time. This, in my opinion, is scary.

The fact that the problem of violence against women in Russia and the West is treated differently is well demonstrated by the story of the influential producer Harvey Weinstein. After a publication in The New York Times about sexual harassment that lasted for years, Weinstein's career collapsed.

In Europe, with similar legislation, domestic violence is more likely to lead to jail time. And such a fact from life will be taken into account when applying for a job or when moving up the career ladder. It’s not the laws that are different, it’s the mentality. The main problem of Russian reality is the overly sacred attitude of women towards the institution of marriage. Everyone first strives to get married at all costs, and then doesn’t get divorced, even if they have to cover up bruises every weekend. The problem in general is not the lack of effective defense tools, but in the minds. In fear of public censure, loneliness and the inability to raise children without male financial support,

- says Dukhina.

What awaits the artist Basharov in the near future? Unfortunately, with a high degree of probability - nothing but another divorce. And although the whole country knows that Basharov systematically beat his wives, no sanctions will most likely be applied to him. There is no information that Elizabeth contacted the police with facts of beatings. This means that they can get an amicable divorce, divide property and custody of their son. Basharov’s employers do not make any statements, and the professional community does not announce boycotts. That's how we live.
