How to protect your hair in hot Thailand, when the sun does not spare you, how to restore your curls after exposure to the sun? I'll tell you my hair beauty secrets and show you my favorite products.

Home Hair

The main problem with hair after summer is not styling or even beautiful haircuts. The main “disease” of your hair during these months is dehydration. Due to the abundance of sun (even if you did not visit the beach, but went to a mountain resort), the bonds in the structure of each hair are disrupted, which is why the curls become dull and brittle, tangled, raised like a dandelion and fluffy. Well, if you do visit Turkey or Greece, sea water is also added to the risk factors.

In order to shine with beauty again in the fall, you urgently need to make an appointment at the salon - however, you can’t do it without home treatments. Only such a complex will give you the fastest and most visible effect.

Hair after summer: seek professional help!

Don’t hesitate - as soon as you unpack your suitcases after a vacation trip, call your hairdresser immediately. Having assessed the condition of your long-suffering hair after the summer, he will “attribute” it to a restorative mask or a haircut for split ends.

But what he won’t recommend doing is curling your hair or dyeing it - these procedures are quite aggressive in themselves, so weakened curls will definitely not like it. If you already wear makeup, refresh the color of your locks with a special shampoo or balm.

Hair after summer: treatment at home

First of all, buy restorative care products (balm or mask) containing plant extracts of sage, chamomile and nettle, coconut, macadamia and shea oils, panthenol and collagen, keratin, and vitamins.

Restoring hair ampoules will also give good results.

– they are filled with concentrated vitamins, so they “work” quickly. Rub one such ampoule into your scalp once every 3-4 days, and your entire hair, from roots to ends, will receive comprehensive, gentle care.

We wash the salty “souvenirs”

After swimming in the sea, a lot of salt remains in the hair - however, after swimming in the pool, it would also be a good idea to deeply cleanse it. Unfortunately, your daily shampoo won't do the job - look for a shampoo with a pH of 8 or higher (called high alkaline). This product opens the scales of each hair, allowing everything unnecessary to come out. But remember: such washing is not very “liked” for weakened hair, so it should be done no more than once a month.

We treat with nourishing oils

Nourishing oils can provide the most effective help for hair after summer. They can also cleanse hair after summer from residual chlorine and salt, as well as moisturize and nourish each curl. The best in this “business” are jojoba, macadamia, coconut, shea and wheat germ oils. They are easy to use: warm them up a little (preferably in a water bath), apply them with your hands to your hair from roots to ends, and then comb each curl with a comb. The oil is left as a mask for 20 minutes to an hour, after which it is washed off with gentle baby shampoo. By carrying out oil sessions every 3-4 days, you will very quickly solve the problem of section and dryness.

And, in addition, almond, olive, as well as avocado and apricot kernel oils are a good way to moisturize damaged hair after summer. They are applied 30-60 minutes before washing your hair.

Effective masks against hair loss

Moisturizing masks for dry hair

1.

Beat 1 egg white and add the yolk. Apply this product for 30 minutes. After this, wash your hair with slightly warm water (so that the protein does not curl) - you will not need shampoo.

2.

Wash your hair. Apply mayonnaise along the entire length (if you don’t have it, look at what else you have in the refrigerator - kefir, yogurt, fermented baked milk will also work, just warm them up a little). Wrap your hair in a shower cap and turban for 40 minutes, and at the end rinse off using shampoo.

Yes, sea water, air and sunbathing have a beneficial effect on our body, but this is not always good for the skin and hair without proper care and protection. We discussed several tips and recommendations for protecting the skin in the Cosmetology section - now let's talk about protecting and restoring hair.

Very often our Clients, returning after a summer vacation, complain about the condition of their hair: dry, brittle, sticking out in different directions, completely unwilling to be styled...

It is quite possible to keep your hair healthy, silky and shiny after a vacation by the sea. You just need to use special products when in the sun (by the way, such sunscreens for hair are presented in our Boutique of skin care cosmetics) and follow certain recommendations:

  • Protect your hair from sea water
  • Use moisturizers instead of oils for your hair
  • Complete your summer wardrobe with hats
  • Take proper care especially of colored hair
  • Don't neglect your daily care.

So how do you restore your hair? Here are a few mandatory steps that you should take immediately after finishing your vacation at sea:

First of all, no matter how it sounds now, visit a hairdresser and, at a minimum, trim the ends of your hair - your hair will look tidier, and further hair styling will look better.

The second is a daily scalp massage. It is necessary to increase and stimulate blood circulation in the scalp, which will nourish the hair follicles, because it is through the hair follicles that the hair receives the necessary components for its health.

The next step is when visiting a hairdresser, discuss with him your personal course of treatment (restoration) of your hair at home using masks and serums (along with professional hair products, ordinary folk remedies may also be suitable). Let us remind you that masks have a better effect on the hair structure on clean, damp hair wrapped in a towel (warmth promotes maximum absorption of nutrients).

And of course, reconsider the shampoos and hair conditioners you use. During the recovery period, it is better to use special professional products. Remember - low-quality and incorrectly selected shampoo can greatly harm your hair and scalp, worsening their appearance and internal condition. The cost of such shampoos will be much higher, but the health and beauty of your hair is at stake. You can read more about professional hair cosmetics in the article “Using professional cosmetics - pros and cons.”

And finally, a couple of tips:

Don't expect immediate results - evaluate them in a couple of weeks.

During the recovery period, be patient with hair coloring or perming.

Use hair products with sun filters in the summer - it’s easier not to treat, but to prevent the consequences.

As you can see, there is nothing complicated in hair restoration; specialists from the Philosophy of Perfection Beauty and Health Center are always ready to help and answer your questions - we will be glad to see you in our Center

Hair rehabilitation after sun and sea

Hair suffers greatly after the sun and sea: the ends begin to split, the strands become dry, brittle, tangled and fade. The top layer consists of keratin flakes - this is protection from the negative influence of the environment. But it is weakened by the sun, salt water, sudden changes in temperature, high humidity and insufficient care. As a result, the hair turns into “straw” in just a week.

Recovery after the sea and sun should begin in stages, but should be carried out regularly . First of all, you will have to go to the salon and cut off the damaged ends or even a little more. There is no way to restore them.

In order for the remaining curls to begin to recover, you need to:

  • Perform a head massage . Improving blood circulation in the follicles increases nutrition and oxygen supply. Hair grows faster, beautiful and healthy. For massage, you can use a special brush or a simple comb, but made from natural materials, using your fingertips. The procedure should be carried out 2-3 times a day.
  • Set up nutrition . The menu should include vegetables and fruits, seafood, meat and fish, eggs, nuts and seeds (pumpkin, flax, sesame, sunflower), different types of greens.
  • Start taking a mineral-vitamin complex .
  • Engage in physical activity . Improving blood circulation has a positive effect on the condition of the body and hair.
  • Use masks, balms, shampoos, capsules . These can be either ready-made, store-bought products or home-made ones. The main thing is to do the procedures regularly.

Masks should moisturize, nourish, and restore the keratin layer . You can use burdock, castor, and olive oils on your own. Coconut, shea butter, jojoba, avocado, sesame, apricot and grape seed are also suitable. They are rubbed into the scalp.

Use oils only on clean and damp hair. This way the moisture is sealed inside. Curls become elastic, elastic, and less brittle. Plus, clean strands absorb all the nutrients like a sponge.

Homemade masks for hair restoration after sun and sea:

  • With base oil and yolk. The quantity depends on the length of the hair.
  • From any vegetable oil, a couple of eggs and vitamins A, E from capsules.
  • The same composition as the previous one, + honey and aloe juice. Everything needs to be mixed thoroughly.
  • The base oil is mixed with honey and mumiyo.
  • Add a tablespoon of cognac and honey and yolk to the base.

They should be applied to clean hair under a towel . By the way, you should not use film or a plastic bag, as they do not allow the skin to breathe. It’s better to simply wrap your head in a natural cloth or towel. It is not worth keeping them under film, since the skin does not breathe, which means that nutrients do not reach the follicle.
