Being a well-groomed and beautiful girl is often not a cheap pleasure, especially when your budget is significantly limited.
Luckily, there are easy adjustments you can make to your routine that will allow you to save precious money without sacrificing style.
Here are 10 easy ways to save money on beauty.
Color overgrown roots yourself
Coloring regrown roots yourself will cost you much less than a similar procedure in a salon. High-quality professional paint can now be purchased in many stores at a reasonable price, whereas at a hairdresser you will have to pay twice as much. Another option is to alternate coloring yourself with visits to a professional; if you do something wrong, the hairdresser will correct you. For those of you who can't dye your hair yourself, there is an alternative - ask a friend to help you avoid missing any strands.

Self-care
Almost any girl will be able to take care of herself on her own, without necessarily overpaying for it. I have a lot of experience in this area.
Depilation Sugaring
I’ve been doing sugaring, which is now very popular, on my own for about a year. At the same time, you don’t need special training at all; I myself just read advice on the Internet and watched a couple of videos on YouTube.
It took a few days to get the hang of it, but it wasn't difficult at all! You can independently treat all areas, including a deep bikini. By the way, this is the most optimal type of hair removal in my experience! As for costs, you can buy sugaring paste in cosmetics stores for around 700 rubles, which will definitely last for several months. One such hair removal procedure from a specialist will cost you about the same amount.
Some people even make their own sugaring paste, but this is more convenient for everyone. If you do it yourself, the cost of such a procedure will be a pittance!
Manicure Shellac
It will also be very beneficial to do your own manicure. Forget about regular polishes that won't last even a week. Use only gel polishes. Naturally, you will first need to figure out exactly how to make gel polish yourself, but again, this can be easily found on the Internet. In my city, the average price for a manicure with gel polish is approximately 800 rubles. While a complete professional gel polish set costs about 1000 rubles! Naturally, there are cheaper ones, but this is at your discretion.
If you can’t make a high-quality edged manicure manually, you can purchase a manicure machine, again, all this will pay for you from the second use. You can order cheaper equipment for professional manicure in China, but for those who don’t want to wait, there are sets available at a reasonable price.
The pedicure turns out even better, because both hands are free!
But I want to warn you that not all independent procedures can be accomplished right away. Learning how to take good care of yourself takes care and practice, so take this kind of savings seriously, or you won't succeed.
Getting your face in order
Folk beauty recipes may well become good analogues of professional cosmetology procedures. For example, a scrub made from ordinary soda will help to “polish” and make your facial skin clean and smooth. Dilute it with the gel or milk for washing that you always use, and wash your face with the resulting soda solution.
The gel in the composition is mandatory - it will help prevent damage to too delicate skin by microparticles. After the procedure, wipe your face with a tonic made from a decoction of herbs. You can find the one that suits your skin type on the Internet. A universal option is chamomile decoction, which has virtually no contraindications.
You can pamper your body with a scrub made from coffee with sugar or salt. Mix them with shower gel or oil. Ideally, olive, but any other will do. You can add a little turmeric powder to your homemade scrub. Don’t worry that the skin will acquire a yellowish tint - it is easily washed off, but the healing and antibacterial effect is amazing.
How to save money on beauty?
Undoubtedly, girls and women at any age want to look attractive. They achieve these goals at any cost. How to save your money in the struggle for beauty? This question interests many girls.
Many magazines write that you either need to use the services of specialists in beauty salons, which costs money, or use good old grandmother’s advice. These are the two extremes.
There is a third option to do salon services at home with enough free time and self-love.
1.Makeup and cosmetics.
If you haven't learned how to do make-up correctly, you need to learn it. Thank God there are a whole bunch of opportunities for this - video lessons, specialized courses, magazines, programs, etc. If you have problem skin, you should not count on the help of a professional cosmetologist - you live with your skin all your life, and a cosmetologist sees you for the first time. You will simply throw money down the drain for specialist advice, which you can get on the Internet for free.
You also need to save money on cosmetics wisely: some people buy expensive cosmetics, for example, Lancome, and dress in cheap stores and sales. Why waste a lot of money on cosmetics that will run out anyway. No, of course, there are expensive cosmetics with excellent quality, but they also do not last forever. Isn’t it logical to buy an expensive dress or blouse, and buy average cosmetics (neither expensive nor cheap). And then - if you buy expensive cosmetics, then you need to buy expensive clothes to maintain your status. And no one knows what kind of cosmetics you use, but it’s not written on your eyes that your mascara is Dolce and Gabbana, but your lipstick is Dior. If you really want to demonstrate your status, buy yourself a branded lip gloss (lipstick) and powder to show off at any time.
2.Pedicure and manicure.
Such procedures are not difficult to do yourself. To do this, it is enough to have in your arsenal a high-quality manicure set, several good nail files, beautiful and high-quality varnishes, a hardener and a dryer.
We are all able to reach our feet and hands to get a manicure and pedicure. If you do not have any special problems with your nails, you can do these procedures yourself. A manicure in city salons can cost up to several thousand rubles. This is a one-time procedure that will last for 1-2 weeks. Think about it: it’s better to buy a good manicure set and polishes to give yourself beautiful nails. Thus, you can save about 3,000 rubles per month on nails.
3.Face and body care.
You need to take care of the skin of your face and body from a young age so that when you get old you don’t look like an old woman. You will not avoid gray hair and wrinkles over time. There are women who do everything to hide wrinkles from their eyes, while others show off their gray hair in all its glory. It’s up to every woman to accept herself for who you are or try to fight her old age.
Skin care requires various products - various creams: for the body, for the face, for the skin around the eyes, for the hands and feet. I think you shouldn’t skimp on face creams, and you need to choose them wisely and carefully. Try to spend more money on skin care products than on makeup.
4.Beautiful body and slim figure.
Not all girls can force themselves to exercise at home, which is sad. Employees of fitness centers know that those who are unable to do so at home go to the gym. The subscription will not cost a small amount of money - it can be a good incentive to play sports at home. You can't even imagine how much gyms make from clients. Not all girls who start working out at gyms use up their entire annual membership. If you can't exercise at home, no one can guarantee that after a couple of months you won't get tired of working out in the gym. And no one will return the money.
If you want to communicate with people and not sit at home, but lead an active lifestyle, choose for yourself what you exactly want to do so that you don’t get tired of it in a few months. Perhaps do things at the gym that you can't do at home, such as dancing or aerobics, going to the pool, etc.
5.Mermaid hair.
Hair coloring at a salon is much more expensive than coloring at home. But it is worth keeping in mind that:
- It will be difficult to dye yourself, especially if you have no experience and long hair.
- Salon hair dye is professional, not the regular hair dye that we buy in regular stores.
If you calculate, it turns out that the cost of high-quality and professional hair dye is about 50% of the total cost of dyeing in a salon. For example, if you buy a tube of paint and an oxidizer at a salon, you will spend about 750 rubles, and the cost of painting will therefore be 1,500 rubles. But you can trust your hair to a person with experience, not a salon specialist.
Your beauty depends only on ourselves, and not on the availability of money in our pocket. Showcase your beauty in all its glory to others. Remember, how you treat yourself is how people will treat you.
How I stopped spending money on unnecessary things
For me, as for most women, shopping is a form of leisure, and not at all a necessity. At some point, I realized that I was spending too much money on unnecessary things, which could go towards more pleasant purposes, for example, traveling. And for six months now I have been successfully fighting the passion for raiding stores, which has a positive effect on the balance of my plastic card.
Clothes bins
I have a relationship with clothes that many women will understand: I really love buying it, but not at all in order to constantly change clothes and dress up, but to have it! To be honest, my basic everyday wardrobe is almost a uniform: jeans, T-shirts and sweaters in the cold season. On his feet are sneakers and sneakers. In this situation, it is completely incomprehensible that I have 23 dresses in my closet, half of which have never been worn, the other half were luckier - they were walked out at special events once.
Another category of useless spending is clothes bought at wild European sales. When something that cost 200 euros suddenly sells for 20, the brain often turns off and does not send signals that you already have the exact same thing, calm down, drink coffee and read a book.
In addition, shopping therapy is a terrible disease when you go into a store not because you need something there, but to have fun shopping.
As part of the fight against useless waste of money, I decided not to buy any new clothes for a year, not counting those that would tear/spoil and any socks and underwear. At the same time, I don’t forbid myself from going to clothing stores and trying on something - it turned out that this is also good entertainment.
After six months of the experiment, I can say that giving up unnecessary spending on clothes saved a lot of money on my card, and I don’t feel any discomfort or deprivation from the lack of new things.

Beloved beauty
I am a perfume maniac, I have about 10 or 15 different bottles, despite the fact that there are only two favorite scents, and they have not changed for decades - but I always want to try something new!
In addition, about two years ago I was enslaved by an addiction to watching videos of various beauty bloggers - who doesn’t want to be more beautiful and learn about all the new products in skin care and decorative cosmetics? The addiction turned out to be detrimental to the wallet: after watching these stupid videos, it becomes obvious that I need to buy 80% of what is shown there, otherwise I will shrink and die. Despite the fact that I know my capricious skin very well, for which a maximum of two creams have suited my entire life, despite the fact that I had a ton of decorative cosmetics and sponge brushes, I continued to maniacally buy all the new products - what if it was this particular product? will turn me into a beloved princess as quickly as possible?
As a result, most of the purchases went into the trash or as gifts for mom and girlfriends - for some reason everything suited them! And my wallet was empty, so I made a strong-willed decision to stop watching ruinous beauty bloggers, read articles about cosmetic new products and start using only proven products and buying new things for my cosmetic bag only when the previous jar-tube-box has irreparably run out.
I can say that for six months money was spent only on consumables such as cotton pads/sticks and makeup remover wipes. Everything else seems to be enough for at least another six months. And since I love expensive brands of cosmetics, the savings are gigantic.
Making a nest
I used to really love all sorts of beautiful things and trinkets for the home - lamps, bedspreads, decorative bird cages, wreaths for the door and magnets for the refrigerator. Frankly speaking, she loved it too much, and at some point her passion for decorating began to take away her living space.

It’s difficult to answer the question why I need six sets of bed linen, three blankets, two floor lamps, a tin tram and four rubber ducks in the bathroom...
As another volitional decision, I carried out a general cleaning in order to free up as many surfaces as possible, and gave all the unnecessary beauty to those who needed it.
After that, I completely abandoned useless souvenirs from travel and buying new things for the house on the principle of “well, it’s so pretty!”
I’ll tell you a secret - most of your apartments have already had everything you and your household need for a long time, and it’s worth updating things only during major renovations, moves and breakdowns. And the best souvenirs are your memories and photographs. Everything else is a waste of money.
Cult of food
It was probably easier for me to start saving on food than for other people, because in normal times I don’t cook, I prefer to eat in a cafe outside the home. Therefore, the savings began with the fact that I allowed myself one dinner a week out and two lunches - in the event that I find myself not at home at lunchtime and without taking a snack with me.
The rest of the time I had to master daily cooking. Well, how can I learn how to cook since childhood, I just don’t like to spend time on it.
In the first month it became clear that not much time was being spent, but the savings were enormous! It feels like a bag of rice and a jar of blueberry jam, enough for two weeks of breakfast, cost the same as one bowl of blueberry rice porridge in a cafe.

Summer verandas
I love poultry (chicken, turkey), which is healthier than other meats, easier to process and prepare, and cheaper than beef and pork.
An electric grill and oven save you from wasting time, where, in fact, you just throw meat and vegetables with seasonings or pre-marinated ones, and take them out when ready.
It takes five minutes to prepare a salad, and the cost of a week’s dinners at home is approximately the same as two dinners in a cafe or restaurant.

Another big savings is to take a close look at your supermarket cart purchases AFTER you've selected everything and loaded it into your cart, but BEFORE you line up at the checkout.
Maybe you, of course, have a rational approach to shopping, but I am a terrible “grabber” who needs to try everything, and at home, sorting out my purchases, I think - well, why do I need all this.
Now I don’t deny myself “grabbing,” but after analyzing the contents of the basket before paying, I return almost half of it back to the store shelves.
Another great way to save on food is to start eating healthy or following a diet. A lot of money is thoughtlessly spent on snacks and treats, and if you think about what you eat every day, these unnecessary expenses will decrease.
What I don't save on
I will never skimp on new experiences and positive emotions!
The first and main expense item on which all the money saved is spent is travel. They bring much more joy than owning any other things.
And if in my youth I didn’t care which hotel to stay in - after all, you only sleep in the room, now I want the hotel to become part of my impressions of the city, and not a source of terrible memories of the stomping of cockroaches.
By the way, refusing to constantly buy things helps you save money when traveling too - it has become easy to fly with one hand luggage, plus the time freed from shopping can be spent on something more interesting.
I don’t skimp on technology, because a laptop, smartphone, tablet are my work tools, and it is very important that they weigh little, work autonomously for a long time and think quickly. When on one of my trips bad people snatched my smartphone right out of my hands on the evening street, without thinking, I bought a new one the next day, although this was not at all in my budget.
I will never give up dinner with friends or going to a concert to save money - these events and impressions from them will stay with me for a very long time, but I’m unlikely to remember buying new shoes or expensive cheese in five years.
Gifts and surprises to family and friends are emotions given by the person you pleased with a gift, this is priceless joy, forgive the pathos.
In general, the common saying that the best things in life are not things is 100% true in my case, especially lately. I won’t say that I got very rich or saved a lot of money, I just began to spend what I earned more thoughtfully and on things that really make life more interesting, and not gather dust in the closet or are swallowed in half an hour out of boredom!
