Tina Kandelaki: “Telegram as the media of the 2000s. It’s fashionable to give paid posts for birthdays.”

Tina Kandelaki: height, weight and figure parameters ^

It's hard to believe that Tina is naturally inclined to be overweight, but in fact she is. As soon as she makes some allowances for herself, she immediately gains extra pounds, which she prefers to get rid of through diet and exercise.

It is worth noting that the personality of the TV presenter is also of interest to many because Tina Kandelaki does not age: she has smooth skin without a single wrinkle, a toned body and elastic muscles.

Tina Kandelaki: height 167 cm, weight 52 kg

Some previously suggested that she uses the services of a plastic surgeon, but such information is not confirmed by anything, and Tina is also a supporter of a healthy diet and lifestyle - perhaps this is why she manages to look much younger at the age of 40.

What diets does Tina Kandelaki follow?

One day, a TV presenter made a bet with a business partner. He claimed that she would not be able to lose weight to 52 kg, but a few weeks later everyone was shocked when Tina Kandelaki lost 12 kg! To do this, she had to go on a fairly strict diet and slightly adjust her training program, although she had previously spent several hours a day in the gym.

Now Tina Kandelaki’s height and weight are ideal 167 cm and 52 kg, respectively; before her weight loss, she weighed 64 kg and was slightly plump, which was not too noticeable.

Secrets of youth and beauty from Tina Kandelaki

  • She believes that you can take care of your skin without the help of expensive products and spa treatments. Previously, when she had little money, instead of a regular scrub, she used coffee - she ground the beans in a coffee grinder and rubbed herself with them. She also never goes to bed without removing makeup from her face;
  • Despite her heavy workload, Tina tries to go on vacation at least twice a year. In her opinion, such trips give energy and give positive emotions, and she leaves the right to choose a city for travel to her daughter Melania and son Leonty;

  • For several years now, Tina has not eaten meat, replacing it with seafood and fish. She also prefers to eat honey and dried fruits instead of sweets, and only occasionally eats a little dark chocolate;
  • The TV presenter’s diet contains only low-calorie foods, and she has long given up baked goods, potatoes, fried foods, smoked meats and semi-finished products: they not only spoil the figure, but also negatively affect health;
  • Almost every day, Tina goes to the gym and trains for several hours.

These slimming recipes from Tina Kandelaki are applicable to all people who want to have a good figure and good health, because it depends to the greatest extent on nutrition.

The general producer of Match TV about where the media is heading, the scandal surrounding his apartment and the request for political series

“It is absolutely clear that the sanctions will not end, that the conflict with the Anglo-Saxon world will only increase,” producer and TV personality Tina Kandelaki forecasts for 2020. She continues to work for Match TV, but is less and less associated with the channel. In an interview with BUSINESS Online, Kandelaki discusses the popularity and corruption of Telegram, the competition of YouTube and TV, and the dangers of being carried away by “streaming yourself.”

Tina Kandelaki: “I’m glad that I don’t have any super-expensive projects behind me, about which I could say: “You know, we invested three million rubles in an episode and we are very worried whether they will pay off or not.”
Tina Kandelaki: “I’m glad that I don’t have any super-expensive projects about which I could say: “You know, we invested 3 million rubles in an episode and we are very worried whether they will pay off or not.”

“THERE ARE NO QUESTIONS FOR MY PART AT MATCH TV”

, Tina Kandelaki has been firmly associated with the Match TV channel, where she works as general producer. However, in 2020, Kandelaki rebooted her image, focusing on personal projects and the brand. She is a regular speaker at Synergy forums and a producer of TV series that are not necessarily aired on Match. Plus, Kandelaki is an active blogger; her Telegram channel, not related to sports, has about 38 thousand subscribers.

Against this background, at the end of summer, rumors circulated about Kandelaki’s departure from Match TV, associated with upheavals within Gazprom-Media, which owns the TV channel. The sports project was transferred under the wing of the people who created the Comedy Club, and there might not have been a place for the former leader in the new paradigm. Nevertheless, Kandelaki continues to work on the channel and explains the situation with her contract in an interview with BUSINESS Online, which she has not done before. In the conversation, the producer presents himself more as a public figure and PR specialist, and not as a top manager of a sports TV channel.

Tina, how will you remember 2020? There was the World Cup, raising the retirement age , sanctions, which still did not seem as harmless as they say on the central channels.

— I’ve traveled a lot around Russia, to international forums and conferences, so I can say that, firstly, our voice on significant platforms is heard and interesting to our partners, and secondly, I saw how many bright projects are being implemented in our country.

Moreover, the most difficult but necessary decisions are always made at the beginning of the electoral cycle. I understand that no hasty or ill-calculated decisions were made, so I see no reason to doubt them.

How was your year at Match TV?

— As before, I am the general producer of the TV channel, responsible for the quality of the sports content we produce. Since there is not much of it in the total content of Match TV, my ambitions, energy and strength are enough for other projects.

Everywhere I go out, I say: “I’m Tina Kandelaki, Match TV channel.” And I think no TV channel has ever dreamed of such free PR that Match TV has in my person.

— What projects do you have left on the TV channel?

— I am involved and responsible for all projects about sports and athletes, including the premieres of each season. Only of the latest premieres this season can I name “The Ice Is Melting” with Alexei Yagudin, “Where Football Begins,” “Football HURTS,” “Victory Gene,” “Cyberathletics,” “The Strongest,” and so on.

— These are no longer global projects - more like account management?

— Sports content is a global project. Natasha and I (Bilan - program director of Match TV - editor's note ) receive proposals from studios, discuss them, watch them, decide whether to implement the project or not. We do not have the opportunity to do, relatively speaking, large-scale big shows within the framework of the strategy that we have today. I think this strategy applies not only to our channel, but also to all other TV channels - everyone needs to understand and accept the fact that the future lies in inexpensive projects.

— And non-linear TV...

- Absolutely right. If you watch domestic television, you probably see that expensive projects most often no longer justify themselves and pay off less and less in the classic television format. Therefore, I’m even glad that I don’t have any super-expensive projects about which I could say: “You know, we invested 3 million rubles in an episode and we are very worried about whether they will pay off or not.”

— Don’t you just want to put an end to the fact that your story with Match TV is over?

“In this sense, like any top manager who works for hire, they make me an offer to come, stay or leave. Within the framework of the existing proposal, I have fulfilled all my KPIs and continue to fulfill them. There are no questions about the part of the work for which I am responsible.

“You can always write a statement of your own free will and leave.”

— You know, for top managers such actions “of their own free will” indicate their emotional imbalance. If you want to continue working in television, then you act like an ordinary top manager.

— But this is no longer the 24/7 work that it used to be?

— 24/7 work is only needed at startup. If you talk to any big TV producer, they don't watch their channel 24/7. He watches new formats, new ideas, talks to new people.

— In other words, it maintains concentration on the main job.

— I repeat once again: such concentration is only needed if you are responsible for a live broadcast, for example, there is a lot of it and it is news, or if you produce a huge amount of content. The Match TV channel differs from all others in that 70 percent of the content on it is sporting events, which I have no influence on.

— Are you not involved in purchasing rights?

- Of course not. And by the way, I never studied.

— Because from time to time there is criticism that Tina Kandelaki did not buy the Spanish Championship.

— I answer this question regularly. I don’t do this and never have. I never bought the rights or was responsible for buying the rights. There has always been a separate department for this, which continues to work successfully. Another thing is that I still participate in these conversations and can give some comments, but I never had the last word.

“What is a telegram channel? It’s a new meta-media. Last year he could be compared to his foolish younger brother, everyone laughed and did not understand what it was. And this year, the presence of a telegram channel became a sign of normality, and it happened very quickly.”
“What is a Telegram channel? This is a new build of meta-media. Last year he could be compared to his foolish younger brother, everyone laughed and did not understand what it was. And this year, the presence of a Telegram channel has become a sign of normality, it happened very quickly.”

“TELEGRAM CHANNEL HAS BEEN TURNED INTO A MEDIA ONLY IN RUSSIA”

— You are a frequent guest of anonymous Telegram channels. Do you see the hidden context in publications when they write about you?

— I liked the phrase “frequent guest of anonymous Telegram channels.” You are probably also a frequent visitor?

It happens, but not often.

— What is a Telegram channel? This is a new build of meta-media. Last year he could be compared to his foolish younger brother, everyone laughed and did not understand what it was. And this year, the presence of a Telegram channel has become a sign of normality, it happened very quickly. But what is genius? Telegram is going through a stage that the media went through in the early 2000s, when in some media you could buy and sell a block of some information, order a critical article on a competitor or on yourself - this has happened. Security forces, oligarchs, and bandits began to fight for control over these Telegram channels. Everything is like in the 90s and zeros. This activity has become so exciting that in Moscow it is already customary to give paid posts on Telegram for birthdays or other significant occasions.

Technologies are developing and there is no stopping them. They influence the media every second. If, relatively speaking, something cannot be said on TV, then you will see it on the Telegram channel. And the more we deny professional journalism the opportunity to investigate, dig, ask uncomfortable questions, and take recipients, oligarchs, and security officials out of their comfort zone, the more this environment will become marginalized. In the world, the Telegram channel has become a media outlet only in Russia. Call Pasha Durov, he will confirm.

— In Iran it also changed .

- Yes, with the exception of Iran, sorry.

— Because the two countries are very similar in terms of the level of political freedoms. It seems that there are even more of them in Iran.

— Don’t compare Russia with Iran. Russia still has the best primary school, this is a proven fact. We are the best at teaching how to speak, read, and write. Once people have learned to speak, read and write, they want to express their opinions on everything. The Internet has given them this opportunity. Our favorite experiment: let’s go out and ask anyone a question on any topic, no one will say “I don’t know.” Everyone will try to answer. From nuclear physics to comments to Stanislav Cherchesov on what he is doing wrong.

Is it correct to assume that all Telegram channels are divided between large companies, the state, and agencies?

— I think that with regard to channels with a large number of subscribers, this statement is largely true.

— Is there any foreign influence, perhaps from intelligence agencies?

-Are you asking me now? I believe that the struggle for Telegram channels is between oligarchs, security forces and other Russian influence groups.

— Do you have any idea that Telegram was blocked in order to raise its status?

- Of course not. Do you really think that someone has seriously blocked something? On the contrary, people have learned to use VPNs. I cannot guarantee that a targeted method of blocking has not been found. I think it still exists. From this story, conclusions were drawn and measures were taken. What did the president say? A simple thing: prohibiting is not the best way to solve a problem. Thank God, in the modern world we all understand this.

— But they didn’t unblock Telegram.

— Then Telegram scored points, and users were taught to use proxy servers.

I can give one example about Telegram wars. There is some kind of conflict going on, where two sides are fighting. There are 10 channels against one, 10 channels against the other. And I always explain: don’t you want to exhale a little and see if there is a third person who comes into conflict and begins to “wet” both of you, so that you start to worry a lot and offer commercial cooperation to as many Telegram channels as possible?

This very often happens when there is a conflict between two parties, and everyone gets involved. I spoke to some on condition of anonymity. I ask: why are you doing this? They say that they have allocated a budget for PR support for a company or person and they want to get involved in it. When I was doing PR, many comrades came to me and asked whether it was necessary to install a block. I always said: “Friends, remember one simple thing - wherever you pay for the block, you have drawn a black ticket for this publication for the rest of the time. Then you will block content all the time and will not get off the needle.”

In the modern world, which is wildly transparent, it is best not to pay for blocks, but simply to hire normal PR people, give them normal money, make a list with them of the most dangerous and difficult questions for you and learn to answer them. If you cannot answer them yourself, they will answer for you. And you will answer what is presented to you. Don't let things get to the point of making excuses! Take control of the situation and talk about everything you do.

— When publications come out about you in Telegram channels, do you roughly understand where the legs are coming from, who wrote and what signal was sent?

— I am a professional PR person, and nothing has changed in PR. It’s just that now it has become called Telegram, but before there were certain newspapers that sent you signals or, conversely, somehow influenced you so that you would send a response signal. The method of interaction between participants in the information agenda has not changed.

— Do you understand a specific signal?

- Sometimes yes, sometimes no.

— The last message that made you tense?

— In the summer, a huge number of channels wrote about my dismissal. There were also those channels that fueled the topic. As soon as my contract remained valid, they stopped writing altogether. I understood where it was coming from and from whom, but I won’t say.

- But about the apartment for 100 million rubles, which you gave to the child... What is there behind this?

— With an apartment, everything is generally simple - people are constantly looking for some kind of hype. Question for you (you’ve written a lot about me): am I that clickable?

— If a celebrity gives a child an apartment for 100 million, of course, this is clickable news.

- That's understandable. I contacted the editor-in-chief of the media outlet that published this information. I told him that I don’t mind, write, I understand that it’s clickable. I am a journalist myself. But at least you called and clarified a number of details and asked for a comment.

There was no gift. 15 years ago I took out a mortgage and bought an apartment in a residential area. Yes, more than 350 square meters of living space on the top floor is under construction. They wrote how this house was built and that there were quality complaints about the SU-155. To this day there are big problems there, but I won’t complain now, I’m happy with everything. The most interesting thing is that I bought this apartment with a mortgage 15 years ago, while in my first marriage. And some time ago I divided all my main assets between my children - my son and daughter. This was done absolutely consciously after a conversation with my friend Ruben Vardanyan. I talk about this a lot and I recommend that everyone who has adult children take care of issues of inheritance and drawing up a will in advance.

My son asks me: “Why do they tell me that you gave it to me for my 17th birthday?” I answer: “Son, they are not interested in fact-checking.” It’s not interesting to write that I bought it with a mortgage and simply distributed my property among my children.

— 100 million is a lot of money, but it seems to me that in the Moscow context the amount is still not amazing.

“I bought it on credit, and I paid off this loan for several years, but no one is interested in it anymore.” The problem here is that I still remain in some sense a “superstar” for certain media. Nobody knows what apartment Dud bought, you know? Bye. But, believe me, sooner or later they will find out too.

— Even if they find out, Yuri Dud did not work with state money, state orders and all this, he has a clean business history. What difference does it make what kind of apartment he bought?

- It is the matter of time. I predict that next year they will start to figure out where Dudya got his Bentley, where Khach got his Maserati, and where, in fact, Utkin got his new sneakers? Of course, everything will be sorted out. Speaking of government money, I, unlike everyone else, have the opportunity every year to you, my dear fans and subscribers, from the Rostec website to report all my savings and earnings. My husband is a government employee, and I tell everyone about everything because that’s how it’s supposed to be. This is not a problem for me - this is a good tradition in our family.

“There’s a movie called Fahrenheit 451.” It just shows a prototype of the media of the future - and with them everything becomes a screen. Now we are sitting at the table - and the table becomes the screen. Therefore, there will only be more media, there will be everything.”

“PEOPLE TRANSMIT THEIR PHYSIOLOGICAL PRESENCE BY STREAMING”

— What will the media be like in 10 years? Will everything be multiplatform?

— The primary conversation is not about media, but about technology. This is very inconvenient for us media professionals, because all predictions must be made not so much on the basis of our ideas about media, but on the basis of technology. The answer to your question lies with the companies that produce smartphones and other gadgets. Prototypes of phones and TVs can help you understand the prospects for media for the next 10 years.

There is a movie called Fahrenheit 451 on Netflix. It just shows a prototype of the media of the future, where, excuse the spoiler, all books are burned, everything becomes screens. Now we are sitting at the table - and the table becomes the screen. It broadcasts live - no matter what channel, maybe even a Telegram channel. And some channel “Nezygar”... with presenters in balaclavas or not presenters, but robots. Therefore, there will only be more media, there will be everything.

— There will be no privacy left?

- Certainly. There is already very little of it. Another important aspect of the new reality is that people have become lazy. Surfing the Internet leads to a superficial perception of information, and the user is no longer ready to sit and do something himself. Why are voice assistants becoming popular this year? And all this may well lead to the appearance of a very large number of poorly educated people who will think that they can Google everything. They will have no desire to learn - I can already see that. They will stupidly stream themselves for 24 hours.

What's the problem with streaming yourself? I write and talk about this a lot. The point of transmitting information is to convey some meaning. Because of our profession, we understand this. And today people began to convey physiology - here I am, I eat, I drink, I dance, I copulate. People transmit their physiological presence by streaming.

— The very fact of your existence is a method of earning money?

- Yes, not meanings and ideas. This is a disaster because people begin to think that they are sitting in their cave. Let's just go back to basics. In developed countries, private schools where children of wealthy parents study already ban mobile phones. On the one hand, such children will be the first to have smartphones, on the other hand, they will be the first to be forced to give them up in order to learn fundamental things first.

“THE “BIG GAME” WILL BE CONTINUED”

— You were the producer of the series “The Big Game,” which can be considered successful. It was dedicated to the Russian football team and was shown almost immediately after the World Cup. But for some reason it’s on STS, and not on Match TV.

— David Kocharov brought his idea to “Match” and eventually became the general producer of the series. This is where we began our interaction with him. But due to technical reasons, it was decided to implement the project at STS. Anticipating your next question, I will answer that there was no conflict of interest. Since I took on the responsibility and produced this project, I had no financial interest in it. For me this was fundamental. I didn't earn a single ruble from this series.

David Kocharov is an absolutely obsessed person, in love with football and his work. And what I like about him is that he tries to stay within the framework of those projects that are interesting to him.

— The mechanics of your work are interesting. How did this happen?

- Very simple. The entire sports part was produced by me. What does this mean: starting from filming at the Zenit stadium and ending with the stadium in Kazan, I conducted all the negotiations with people. Spartak and Zenit were the most cooperative. They gave us a lot of opportunities to film.

— So you weren’t looking for money?

- It was different. The issue of money also had to be resolved. “The Big Game” is a very economical series, which is not comparable to many series entering the domestic market.

— Can you name the price?

- Of course not. This is only if the STS TV channel wants to voice it. Our task was to spend the budget as efficiently as possible. If the guys had just come for a few days and rented a stadium, it would have been completely different money, the price of the series would have simply increased significantly.

— It turns out that in this context it is better to call you an administrator.

— Producing any series consists of several parts. There is creative producing, David was the showrunner in this sense, and there is executive producing. Both are important. Did I take ensemble auditions? Yes. Have you watched every episode? Yes. Was I involved in deciding which scenes we would cut and which ones we would keep? Yes, sure. That is, David and I participated in the work on the series from beginning to end. At the start of the project, we did not yet understand how large the scope of work would be.

— It seems that the main scene was the scene with the words “Not the country, but the scenery,” and the whole series was remembered for it. Was there any discussion around this monologue of the main character?

— There were discussions on all scenes. I will say briefly: “The Big Game” is a great success, this luck will continue.

— Will the public need this?

- Well, I haven’t told you yet what we will do. But based on this series, there will definitely be a continuation. The scriptwriters will begin development in January. This is not a series, most likely it will be a full-length film. We are thinking about this with David.

“It seems to me that if our team had not performed so well at the World Championships, the “Big Game” would not have happened. It fits well into the historical context.

- You are absolutely correct, but I will even expand your thought. The point is also that show business no longer produces so many superstars, so the lineup of yellow press heroes has changed - these are now football players, their wives and children.

— The oligarchs, I think, are happy because they instantly jumped out of this story...

- No, they will also have time to return, wait. You just don't keep track of everything.

I have some interesting numbers about the Big Game. So, the share of the series ranged from 8 to 15 percent. With all the variety of television programs and television channels, it turns out that up to 1/6 of them chose it during the broadcast of a television series. And it was in prime time, the hardest time for any series. Especially for sports and especially for football. Because next to it is “Scarlet Rowan, Red Lips,” season four. Do you understand? And still we did well.

Further: 70 percent of people who watched this series recommended it online. The series was the leader in torrent trackers in terms of the number of downloads. We have to keep an eye on this too. I’m shocked - in terms of the number of downloads, we are ahead of Jurassic World 2. There was incredible feedback online thanks to the head coach's final monologue. There were a lot of people in the country who were really obsessed with football, and they somehow commented on it all inside themselves. And we took it and voiced it. Thanks to this circumstance and the quality of the project as a whole, there is only one negative comment out of 16 positive ones online. On Instagram there are even more - 20 positive to one negative. This is an incredible overall positive towards the series. And we came out a month after the World Cup.

Can anyone brag about having completed an event like this? I think not.

— Have you ever been reproached that the stupid and absurd minister Leonty Vitalievich looks like Vitaly Mutko?

— As they usually write in all films, let’s leave all parallels and allegories outside the brackets. I hope that in our country everyone who to some extent could recognize themselves in this series is doing well with a sense of humor and self-irony.

Seryozha Minaev interviewed Lesha Venediktov for Esquire. And there is a very good phrase there. At the end, Lesha says: “I’ll say this. We lack self-irony, and those people who take themselves with brutal seriousness are leading the country to destruction.” What I like about these words is that they can be used to apply to any person. People who take themselves with brutal seriousness frighten me personally.

“YOUTUBE – TELEVISION 20 YEARS AGO”

— At some point, it seemed that the TV series market in the country had sank. And suddenly we saw the undoubted success of the “Great Game” and “House Arrest,” which even the country’s prime minister is discussing.

— Everyone started discussing “House Arrest” because the Prime Minister mentioned it. Our audience's demand for political series is very high. It’s even higher for political satire, because there’s almost none left of it anywhere. The success of both projects is not only and not so much about money, but about the idea and the people who implemented this idea.

As for the industry as a whole, I see that they continue to do expensive projects. I spoke with one large worldwide TV mogul, who really succeeded in the West. He is more of a Western oligarch than a Russian one. He said very well that, firstly, in the West everything is wildly expensive. In Russia, he understands, an episode can cost a maximum of 250 thousand dollars, but there it’s 4 million at once.

— Do we have such projects in Russia for 250 thousand dollars?

- Of course have. Unfortunately, I have never had anything to do with such projects, and now, fortunately, I probably won’t, but, of course, there are a lot of high-budget projects on domestic television. They were, are and will be. Whether they pay off or not, let their producers tell you.

- There is money, but no people?

- There are people. The industry, of course, is still developing. We don't have huge screenwriters or directors guilds, but we have plenty of talent. The content consumption model will transform.

In the West there is a new Netflix model that everyone is involved in, including me. Netflix currently has 158 million subscribers, the model programmed 350. Do you know how much the minimum subscription to Netflix costs in Southeast Asia? Only 4 dollars a month. They give expensive projects to those who have been turned down by all the studios. Now they have begun to strongly develop regional experience - hence the Indian line, the Mexican line, and the Russian line. Then they introduce streaming, a large number of television shows.

This is a prototype of an international TV channel. The more subscribers this channel has, the more influence it will have on the audience. This is the first test, the first prototype, which is absolutely equally ready to be seen in both America and Russia - it is available to everyone.

What will television be like in 10 years?

— The word “television” in our usual understanding will not exist. These will be different platforms and different frames. You will still have a large screen in your home on which you will watch a lot of content. I’m not ready to say now how this television will be programmed, but artificial intelligence will move more and more in the direction of personalizing content for an individual. Television was invented in order to influence the individual citizen. Now this citizen can be influenced even more precisely, locally and in detail, depending on his target, purchases, orders, preferences.

Also in the future, the entire screen may become interactive. You can click, say, on Andrei Malakhov’s suit, and you will be given information about how much it costs and where you can order it. And in three minutes this suit will be brought to you. And everything that people talk about will be visualized into offers to order, pay and deliver to their home. This is the main trend now. Television will not die. It was, is and will be. Just come to terms with the idea that there are more personnel, there are more people, the entry threshold has become lower.

YouTube will not replace TV? We see incredible growth in the audience and enormous influence on the site.

— Television ratings are not falling all over the world, so there is no conflict. YouTube only conflicts with Netflix. Today's YouTube is the television of 20 years ago. Everything that is there has already been on TV. Perhaps in a more strict format and timing, but it was.

At the same time, the Internet has an undoubted advantage. The cost of projects by my respected Amiran or Leonid Parfenov depends only on their desire. You can shoot one episode for 60 thousand rubles, or you can shoot it for 700 thousand. But the respected, expensive advertising that runs on these issues is radically different from television. In order for a presenter to utter an advertisement on television, you need to go through many stages: advertising department, traffic department, lawyer, taxes. It is necessary to maintain a huge staff. The advertising block is regulated by law, and not by the desire of the author. What kind of profit are we talking about? In addition, the advertiser begins to understand that participating in native advertising and, in fact, in hype is much more effective than, conditionally, following the standard on television.

And what can television do here? Go professionally to YouTube, Instagram, Facebook - all communication channels, all personnel, as I call it. If this happens, then television will win. Because the editors, the lighting guys, the directors, the cameras on television are better. It's corny, but true.

— Why then is television not present on these platforms?

- Present. Who told you no? I won't list other people's plans, but I talk to many colleagues and they understand it. They understand that they need to personalize their channels.

— How is the advertising market transformed in this context?

- Television - not yet.

“the sanctions will not end”

— What will 2020 be like?

“It is absolutely clear that the sanctions will not end, that the conflict with the Anglo-Saxon world will only increase, and that against the backdrop of this conflict, the media to which we are related will work even more, more actively and faster. And in this regard, I would really like to appeal to everyone and say: dear colleagues, remember one simple thing - we transmit information, but people believe in it, and wrong decisions are made based on incorrect information. And this is a very big problem both for B2B relationships and for relationships in general within the country. I encourage everyone in the media to keep at least two sources to check before writing anything. 2020 will be a turbulent year in any case.

—Who will this turbulence take out the window?

- I won’t even predict. I want to see what “Nezygar” will write, for example, “Davydov Index”, Alexey Alekseevich Venediktov, Seryozha Dorenko - my favorite comrades. These are the four political channels: two that represent channels without a face, and two that represent media with a face. This is Seryozha and Lesha. Well, Margot Simonyan, because she has a lot of insights.

What is it critically important for Russia to change in itself in 2020 to make people’s lives better?

— Russia is people. We, in fact, must constantly change, constantly learn. This is what I talk about in most of my public appearances. The economy, in the part that is not related to sanctions, directly depends on the integrity and personal effectiveness of the people who make decisions and the people who carry them out.
