Some people think that the clock is counting down the time until separation, and as soon as the birthday gift clock stops, you will part with the person forever. Slavic

Some people think that by giving a watch, you are giving away part of your life. Often such a gift is called a quarrel between lovers, and some believe that the death of the recipient is approaching.
