The creators of the show “Dancing” on TNT in 2020 decided to please the fans for the last time and launch the final, 7th season of the project. In the 1st issue, the mentors remained the same: Miguel, Tatyana Denisova and Egor Druzhinin. The guest star was the strict but fair Yulia Akhmedova, already familiar to the audience with her assessment of the creativity of the participants in the previous stages. Supporting the dancers and brilliantly announcing numbers at the casting in Yekaterinburg is also within the competence of the incomparable Laysan Utyasheva.

Release date for episode 1 of season 7 is August 29, 2020. Review of the casting - in the material 24SMI.

“I didn’t regret my decision for a second”: past participants

Smiling Anton Maksakov , representing the city of Kolomna, danced in the style of breakdancing. Before the number, the female half of the panel of judges had already let the young man through to the next stage, suggesting that he take off his sweatshirt. Anton was shy, but Laysan Utyasheva insisted, thereby providing the guy with an unconditional “yes.” “I haven’t regretted my decision for a second,” Tatyana Denisova exclaimed with joy.

The duet of Sasha Vasilyev and Dasha Kulinskaya presented a dance composed by choreographer Irina Kononova. The jury noted that the guys looked organic and the work was done excellently. The dancers admitted that they would like to join Yegor Druzhinin’s team.

The daring Andrei Bocharov won over the judges with his answer to the question “Who do you want to be on the team with?” Both in his profile and on stage, the young man replied: “I don’t really care who to join the team with. I came to the project!” The participant represented the city of Omsk.

Roman Belov
Victoria Sverchkova chose an alarming composition for her performance, which attracted the attention of mentors and spectators. Throughout her childhood, the girl’s height prevented her from embodying herself on stage. However, Miguel sent the girl to the next stage without question.

Evgenia Turushkina came to the 7th season of “Dancing” on TNT in 2020 out of curiosity, but Yegor Druzhinin noted that the girl is highly professional, which was confirmed by the rest of the mentors.

Karina Shtogrina and Ekaterina Boyko also passed the selection without difficulty : the mentors praised the former for her ability to put a lyrical story into the music, and the latter for her incredible performance technique.

“It felt false”: remarks

Stasya Kozhemyako from the Village of Dobrun, Bryansk Region was worried before the performance, but received strong support from the panel of judges. In addition, an event recently occurred in her life that forced her to reassess her values: the girl successfully fought cancer. Tatyana Denisova did not have enough drive in Stasya’s dance, but the mentors liked the performance, and the dancer moved on.

Daria Popova represented the city of Perm. Despite her young age (18 years), the girl is already teaching master classes in the field of high hills. The sultry brunette performed strip dancing in shoes with 20-centimeter heels. Miguel and Yegor Druzhinin did not see “the concentration of pressure and talent,” and Tatyana Denisova did not see enough experience for season 7. Yulia Akhmedova defused the situation by emphasizing tenderness and the absence of “sex” and leaving the young participant in the project.

Stasya Kozhemyako
The panel of judges filed a claim regarding age against Oleg Sofyanov . Tatyana Denisova noted that due to a lack of life experience, the presented composition seemed slightly “false-dramatic.” Despite this remark, the dancer passed the selection. Miguel noted that in terms of energy, Oleg reminded Ildar Gainutdinov.

Danyakina Olga is fond of hip-hop, but decided to surprise the audience of the 1st edition with her own choreography, the technique of which was reminiscent of contemporary. The jury had an ambivalent attitude towards the experimental dance and gave the participant the opportunity to dance in her favorite direction. Miguel did not allow Olya to complete her second dance career, but Tatyana Denisova became interested in the dancer and gave her a chance.

Roman Desyatkov performed modern choreography to a lyrical composition, but Tatyana Denisova and Yegor Druzhinin made comments on the technique of performance. An unexpectedly joyful event for the 26-year-old young man was an unexpected “yes!” from Miguel.

Last Dance

On August 29, the new and final season of the largest Russian dance show “Dancing” starts on the TNT channel. Over the course of six seasons, the project has transformed from simply entertaining into a real social elevator, capable of turning an unknown dancer into a superstar in one broadcast. Anyone who believes that they can dance could become a trendsetter in dance fashion in Russia. Or at least hear an objective assessment of the project’s mentors - Miguel, Yegor Druzhinin and Tatyana Denisova - and learn from world-famous choreographers. “Dancing” is hosted by multiple world and European champion, TV presenter Laysan Utyasheva.

Over the years of its existence, the show has taught viewers to understand dance styles, shown that modern dance is a real art, and told hundreds of stories of ordinary dancers who went towards their dreams. Largely thanks to the show, many dance schools and studios have opened throughout the country, including former participants in the project.

The show's mentors Miguel, Tatyana Denisova and Yegor Druzhinin call “The Last Season” the most important event of the year in the Russian dance world. The fight in the show always goes on two fronts: on one of them, the participants fight for the title of the best dancer in the country, and on the other, their mentors themselves compete in their coaching skills, striving to nominate their ward as the winner. Conflicts often arose on this basis—Miguel and Yegor Druzhinin were especially successful in them.

Dance culture can say whatever it wants. He can turn on his snobbery and say that our show is pop, but there is art. Not really. All the people from the dance industry are drooling over the emotions that happen here. Yes, even if the productions are somewhere not according to the canons of dramaturgy and academicism. But the life that is in full swing here cannot be seen in any theater.

Tatyana Denisova, mentor of the show “Dancing” on TNT

For the last two years, the project was won by members of Tatyana Denisova’s team: first Alexey Letuchy, then Kirill Tsyganov. Before this, Miguel’s team regularly won: Maxim Nesterovich in the second season, Anton Panufnik in the Battle of the Seasons, Dmitry Shchebet in the third, Vitaly Ulivanov in the fourth season. Yegor Druzhinin led a member of his team to victory only once: in the first season, Ilshat Shabaev became the winner of the show.

The launch of “Dancing” was a risky decision for TNT: at that time the channel had virtually no experience in producing expensive talent shows. The risk, however, turned out to be justified: while dance shows with the participation of stars had by that time become commonplace on domestic television, there were no projects on air where ordinary Russians would compete. The fact that “Dancing” allowed TNT to fulfill its social mission was precisely the decisive argument in their launch. The calculation was justified: the show turned out to be in demand by the audience not only as an entertainment program, but also as a life guide for many viewers.

We were able to radically change the attitude towards dancing. People all over the country have realized that dancing can become for them not just a language of self-expression, but a matter of life, a real profession. This is no longer a hobby for a few, but an industry in which tens of thousands can be involved. And for some of them, it's just the beginning. There is a new, interesting season ahead, and a meeting with the best dancers, whom the whole country will soon know.

Vyacheslav Dusmukhametov, producer of the show “Dancing” on TNT

“Dancing” was positioned as “the largest dance show in the country” - and this was not bragging, but pure mathematics. In terms of the number of cities in which castings for all seasons took place, in the number of people who came to them, in the number of spectators, the project was and is significantly ahead of all competitors.

The “Dancing” show is not only interesting performances, but also the stories of the participants, chronicles of that generation of Russians who are now the face of the country. Over the course of six seasons, there have been a lot of such stories - heartbreaking and sweet, funny and sad, bright and amazing. Let's remember the most colorful participants in the project.

Here is a car mechanic from Moscow, the owner of his own workshop, a rather obese man - for which his friends nicknamed him Panda. For the first time in his life, he came to such a casting - and managed to surprise everyone.

Here is a Siberian man from the city of Achinsk - who demonstrated impressive mastery of heels.

Here is a fragile girl who amazed everyone when she started dancing krump - a very aggressive type of dance.

Our project, of course, gave such a crazy springboard to all those people who dreamed of dancing in this country. Choosing between my own comfort in this project and the project itself, I would choose the project because it so changed the vision of many about dance, it opened up the profession so much, it so powerfully made people pay attention to dance, and most importantly, it elevated the choreographer’s profession into the framework of respected professions.

Egor Druzhinin, mentor of the show “Dancing” on TNT

Here is a girl whose doctors have forbidden her to listen to music loudly, but since she cannot live without dancing, she continues to do it, turning down the volume - and on stage, where it is impossible to turn it down, she dances with earplugs.

Here's a guy who was in a car accident and couldn't walk - his lower body was atrophied, but thanks to dancing he was able to recover, get on his feet and dance.

Here is a girl from Samara who works with deaf children and performed a sign dance on air.

Together with the last season of Russian television, a unique show that spawned a lot of imitators and proved that professional dancers are not a moving set or a secondary corps de ballet, but independent artists capable of competing for fame with the country's main celebrities.

What we all did in Russia with this project added to the dance life for many years. A project appeared, thanks to which I returned back and began to look at dancing from a different angle. This saves people! We also expanded the audience’s horizons and taught them to accept dancers not by their clothes, but by what they are capable of. Many people did not perceive dancing as a profession, but they have always been one.

Miguel, mentor of the show “Dancing” on TNT

When it became clear that TNT had revolutionized Russian television with “Dancing,” several channels tried to displace the show in its niche. But judging by the ratings, no one managed to even come close to the project in terms of popularity. “Dancing” intrigued and surprised throughout all six seasons. In the history of the show, there has never been a single banal, repetitive or boring number. There won't be any in the final season either.

The last season of the show “Dancing” airs on TNT from August 29 at 20.00

“What a shiver went across this table”: the best performances

20-year-old Roman Belov presented the contemporary direction. The entire performance was accompanied by cheers from the audience and admiring comments from Tatyana Denisova, who, during the participant’s jump, exclaimed: “Wow, what a height!” Yulia Akhmedova, after a short pause, Fr.

Moscow dancer Artem Sidorov is involved in underground hip-hop and takes part in battles. The young man admitted that he does not want to move within the framework of one project and is ready to try to master new heights thanks to “Dancing” on TNT in 2020. During the approval, there were rave reviews not only from the audience and from the table of the panel of judges, but also from the participants’ room. Tema spoke with admiration about the energy in the hall: “That’s it! Do what you love to the fullest!”

Reconnecting with nature through dance helped Maria Khomutova win the hearts of all mentors. “You are a very charming homeless person (before this, the casting participant admitted that she does not have a specific city in which she would live - editor’s note), and in the near future you have found a home. For now, you live in “Dancing,” concluded Yegor Druzhinin.
