How to talk to your tummy during pregnancy?

Today there is no longer any need to argue that the child in the womb is a Human from the moment of conception. Therefore, it is very important for both mom and dad to establish contact with him even before birth. Perinatal psychologist Natalya Movchan tells how to do this.

Here are 4 ways for you to help you establish contact and communicate with your baby before birth.

Hearing

The very first thing a child hears is his skeletal system. This happens around 10-11 weeks. Then the baby hears the sound of the mother's voice in utero, and at 20 weeks already reacts to external noises. But all these sounds are overshadowed by the living voice of the mother.

The simplest method of auditory stimulation is talking to the baby. Conversation shapes the perception of the voice of the mother, father, and other family members. The frequency of the sound wave of the language in which communication occurs is closest to the child during the period of speech acquisition, and if the mother spoke foreign languages during pregnancy, then the frequencies of this language will be included in the range of acceptability.

Again, do not forget that dad also has a chance to communicate with the child even before his birth. The baby hears his father’s voice and perceives the emotions that accompany the parents’ communication.

Education before birth. How to communicate with your baby during pregnancy.

The birth of a child is a huge joyful event in the life of every mother. The feeling of motherhood, bright, reverent, joyful and at the same time anxious, fills the life of any woman with new meaning: after all, the baby was connected with his mother literally soul and body for nine months. However, few young mothers know that raising a child should begin nine months before his birth, that is, practically from the first weeks of pregnancy. On this occasion, there is a parable that tells how a mother and father came to the sage, who had a baby who was only five days old. And the parents asked the sage a question: “Please tell me when should we start raising our child?” To which the sage replied: you are exactly nine months and five days late. Implying precisely that education is a process that begins not from the “conscious” age of the baby, but even before his birth. If we listened to the advice of this sage, we would not exclaim with annoyance at the moment when our baby does not listen to us: “Where did all this come from, why is he like this?”

Of course, we are kind of accustomed to the fact that we have means of education in relation to children: there are carrots and sticks, and there is an object of education. But how can we talk about an object if the baby has not yet been born? But today, through ultrasound examination, doctors can already observe every movement of the baby: children yawn, grab something with their hands, suck fingers, stretch, blink, make faces. In a word, they do everything exactly as they do after birth. Here he is - our object of education.

And today psychologists and doctors will offer you a lot of educational tools.

The first is physical contact. There is a method of establishing communication with the intrauterine baby through touching the mother’s abdominal wall. This method is called haptonomy, it allows deep contact between the mother or father and the child, and consists of a light massage of the abdominal wall, stroking the tummy.

The second method is music. It has long been recognized as a means of communication that carries certain information. Scientists have now proven that listening to high-quality structured music by the mother during pregnancy strengthens the baby’s neurons and promotes the formation of close functional connections between the hemispheres of the brain. As a result, children have a greater ability to learn, to master reading and foreign languages. They have a very finely developed ear for music.

Moreover, children do not like to listen to all kinds of music during pregnancy. Some authors cause anxiety in them (this primarily applies to Brahms and Beethoven), and rock music is generally perceived negatively, because low frequencies have a destructive effect on the child’s neurons. There have been cases, and this has again been proven, that while the mother was listening to rock music at concerts, the kids behaved so actively that they did not let her listen and forced her to leave. The best thing that mom should listen to during this period is the music of Mozart, Vivaldi, and Liszt.

A very important means of communication is talking to the baby. Conversation shapes the perception of the mother's voice, the formation of the father's voice, and other family members. The frequency of the sound wave of the language in which communication occurs is closest to the child during the period of speech acquisition, and if the mother studied a foreign language or spoke foreign languages during pregnancy, then the frequencies of this language will be included in the range of acceptability. The child will be more teachable in a foreign language later, when he begins to study it.

There were again examples when a mother, not knowing about this connection, studied English, just wanted to learn. And when the baby began to actively talk, he suddenly began to speak in English phrases. And at first my mother was shocked: where it came from, what it was. And then it turned out that he actually remembered those phrases that his mother memorized and often repeated in English, and then they simply emerged from his subconscious.

A very important tool in education is nutrition , which has a very great influence on the health of the unborn child. An unbalanced diet, a lack of essential food ingredients, and an abundance of toxins inhibit the development and formation of neurons. Possible talents may already disappear, and instead of high intelligence, mediocrity may form. Therefore, you need to consume more vitamins, fruits and vegetables. Eliminate all spicy foods with pepper and garlic. And do not forget that the mother’s eating style shapes the child’s taste for certain foods, national dishes, even the rhythm of eating.

The emotional background of a pregnant woman is a powerful factor influencing the developing organism. It constructs the future emotional reactions of a person experienced by the mother. Feelings of fear, anger, aggression, envy and grief are accompanied by releases of corresponding mediators into the blood, that is, biologically active substances, under the influence of which an increase or decrease in heart rate, intestinal activity, vascular spasms, and a rise in blood pressure occur; Through the placenta and umbilical cord, these substances reach the child and cause the same changes in his body as in the mother's body. And not only the mother’s facial expressions are repeated, but also her mood is experienced.

After 20-22 weeks, the baby may show the same facial emotions as the mother. If the mother cries, then the child also makes crying faces. If, during the entire prenatal period, a little person was under the influence of negative emotions, then they permeate every cell of him, forming a selfish, aggressive and often with significant mental deviations person. And the child finds himself in the opposite situation when the mother is happy, smiles often, knows how to enjoy life and see its positive sides. In this case, mediators of joy predominate in the blood of both, the baby remembers the feeling of happiness and will be able to find it in life.

There are, of course, enough unpleasant moments around us: there is grief and disappointment and resentment, but a mother’s love for her child can prevent these negative barriers. And a pregnant woman must be happy. A pleasant duty, isn't it? Svetlana Shuklina

Music

For several millennia, music has been used for learning and early fetal development. The best thing a pregnant woman can listen to is classical music, provided that she likes it and accepts it.

There is even a special term “Mozart effect”. The works of the great Austrian have a remarkable effect not only on pregnant women, but also on the child in the womb. American scientists claim that just 10 minutes of Mozart's piano music increases IQ by 8-9 points.

Often parents also note that children recognize music or songs heard in the prenatal period. Moreover, they act on children as an excellent sedative and can be successfully used to relieve strong emotional stress.

The baby will learn what you like, and you will soon begin to feel from his behavior what he likes. Surprisingly, they also have their own tastes - some like calm melodic music, others like more dynamic, rhythmic music, others don’t mind “dancing” and moving a little to the beat.

How to talk to your tummy during pregnancy?

Pregnancy is a wonderful period in the life of any woman. Healthy eating, self-care, routine are all very important while carrying a baby, but an equally important point is communication with the unborn baby.

“Pregnant women should not worry” - everyone knows and has heard this well-known instruction, but few people know that studies have been conducted in this area that have shown that in the subconscious of an adult there remains information about what happened to his mother while she was carrying him. The results of these works were presented back in 1983 at the American Congress on Prenatal and Perinatal Education. It turned out that even before birth, a child is able to determine his mother’s reaction to everything good and bad that happens to her.

The mother's pulse and the baby's heartbeat are closely interconnected. If you have just been stressed and your heart began to beat faster, your child will certainly feel it. In order for your baby to be emotionally stable and resilient, it is very important to be able to quickly calm down yourself. As soon as you begin to breathe more smoothly, place your hand on your tummy and verbally reassure the child. Such a conscious attitude towards the baby is extremely important in order for his psyche to develop healthy, and thereby improve your psychological readiness for a relationship with the child.

Also, it is important to “communicate with the tummy” and in joy. The baby feels endorphins, which are released by your body during periods of joy and happiness . It is necessary to explain to the baby what is happening to you, what you feel, to calm him down, and believe me, this is really useful for both of you. It is important to say how much you love him, how you are waiting for him. Thanks to this, the fetus will become calmer and develop correctly.

Listening to your favorite music will also be useful during pregnancy , because it will awaken positive emotions in you, and the baby is very responsive to the mother’s emotional state. But you should still give up heavy, rock music; the baby may react negatively to its loud, harsh sounds.

It is not necessary to speak out loud to the child - you can conduct an internal dialogue . Doctors know that during such a painless examination as an ultrasound, children in the womb behave very differently: some sleep peacefully, sucking their thumb, while others move a lot, as if trying to hide. As a result of a survey of a large number of pregnant women, it turned out that children whose mothers talked to them before the study and set them up for the upcoming procedure behaved most calmly.

No less important is the communication between dad and baby . It has been noticed that expectant fathers who communicated with their child quite often during pregnancy and after birth understand their baby better and easily establish contact with him. Stroking a mother's belly is also very beneficial in a father's communication with his baby.

Whatever communication you choose, the main thing is to put all your affection and love into it. Have an easy birth!

Singing

It has been proven that singing is one of the best ways for a mother to communicate with her future child. When a woman sings, she connects with her feelings and emotions and experiences them much more fully. And, of course, the child also feels stronger impulses from his mother - not only the voice now tells him about love and tenderness, but her breath and whole body seem to be saturated with these vibrations. Experts recommend that expectant mothers remember the lullabies and children's songs that were sung to them in childhood.
