Yulia Takshina: During the year of filming “Don’t Be Born Beautiful,” we didn’t have a single conflict between actors and directors

Yulia Takshina is a popular modern actress, and also a dancer. During her creative career, she starred in more than 40 projects. The actress became famous for her role as the bitchy Victoria Klochkova in the popular television film of the mid-2000s, “Don’t Be Born Beautiful.” During the period of her acting career, the girl showed that she could transform into characters of various types and characters.

Childhood and adolescence

The future actress Yulia Takshina was born in July 1980. The girl’s homeland is the city of Belgorod. She was born into a simple family that had nothing to do with art: her father worked in a factory, and her mother worked in a publishing house. The girl grew up very capable and showed her talent on the stage of the school theater.

When little Yulia was 7 years old, she wanted to join the Sovremennik theater ensemble, where her older brother Volodya had been studying for a long time. In addition, the girl was fond of ballroom dancing. As a high school student, Yulia became interested in journalism; the girl easily wrote articles, which were then published in local publications.

After graduating from school, Takshina decided to leave for Moscow to enter the journalism department at MGIMO, but failed the entrance exams. However, Yulia was not at a loss and submitted documents to the Faculty of Journalism at Moscow State University. She was accepted, but the girl did not study there for long and soon dropped out of the university.

After some time, Julia firmly decided that she would become an actress. She entered the Shchukin Theater School only at the age of 22. Takshina graduated from her studies in 2006.

The girl went on tour around the country with the dance group. During one of her performances, she was noticed by Oleg Gazmanov, who soon invited Takshina to work in his team “Diamond Girls”. In addition, she began dancing in nightclubs to earn extra money. Soon she received offers to work as a model, which the girl did not refuse. Her photographs began to appear in fashionable glossy magazines , then Takshina starred in videos for Dmitry Malikov, as well as the Strelka group.

Movies

After filming in the videos, directors began to notice the girl, and soon Julia made her debut on television. The actress was invited to play the role of Victoria Klochkova in the series “Don't Be Born Beautiful.” The comedy-melodrama series, an adaptation of a Colombian telenovela, told the story of the relationship between ugly Katya Pushkareva, played by Nelly Uvarova, and her boss Andrei Zhdanov, played by Grigory Antipenko.

The main character is smart and hardworking, but has a completely unattractive appearance. The series showed Katya's path to confidence and career growth through the obstacles of ill-wishers.

One such envious woman and rival was played by Takshina, appearing in the role of Zhdanov’s secretary and a close friend of his fiancee. The last role was played by Olga Lomonosova. The heroine Yulia embodied the “deadly sins” of an office worker. Vika is lazy and irresponsible, loves intrigue and espionage, bullies newcomers, takes advantage of connections, gets a job and covers up her own idleness.

The actress complained in an interview that this image influenced her career; directors often call Yulia to play in a similar role. She was happy when they were invited to small roles, but not similar to Vika. Takshina played a major of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, a fairy-tale heroine, a prosecutor, and a loving mother.

Takshina met Ilya Lyubimov, Lomonosova’s on-screen brother, on the set of the comedy melodrama “Inadequate People” in 2010. This time the actor played a modest and well-mannered editorial employee, who is harassed by a hot-tempered and passionate boss at every opportunity.

In 2012, the actress appeared in the popular sitcom “Kitchen”. 2013 turned out to be very eventful professionally. Takshina worked in 9 projects: she continued filming in “Kitchen”, played in the drama “Stanitsa”, based on real events, and appeared in the series “Gyulchatai. For the sake of love", "Lonely Hearts", "Investigator Protasov", "All over again" and the films "Communal Detective", "Inferiority Complex" and "Diamond in Chocolate".

In 2014, Julia played the main character in the series “Let's Kiss” on the Ukrainian TV channel “1+1”. In the same year, she played the role of the evil witch Kara in the film “The Secret City,” a film adaptation of the popular fantasy saga of writer Vadim Panov.

In “Village Romance,” Takshina’s character, a drug addict, periodically had to throw tantrums. Yulia recalled that she returned to the hotel feeling empty, and it took time to come to her senses. But that’s what’s interesting about the complex characters that are so captivating.

Filmography of the actress

After working in videos, famous directors began to pay attention to the girl. Some time later, Takshina made her debut in cinema. It was a role in the television series “Don’t Be Born Beautiful.” The melodramatic comedy is an adaptation of the Colombian television series, which tells the story of the relationship between silly Ekaterina Pushkareva and her director Andrei Zhdanov. The main character of the series, Katya, is smart and hardworking, but has a terrible appearance: she dresses old-fashioned and doesn’t use makeup at all. The film tells about Pushkareva’s career path.

The role of Pushkareva’s ill-wisher was assigned to Yulia Takshina. The actress played the character of a secretary who competes with the main character in her professional activities. Victoria is a friend of her rival Pushkareva in her personal life. Julia's heroine was a lazy office worker who loves to collect gossip, mock newcomers, thereby covering up her idleness.

At the end of filming, the girl complained in one of her interviews that Victoria Klochkova’s character left a mark on the actress’s career. Directors often invite Takshina to play similar characters. Yulia is very happy when she is offered roles, albeit small, but not similar to Klochkova. The actress played a fairy-tale heroine, a major of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and a prosecutor. She thanks the directors very much for seeing these images in her. Famous projects in which the actress participated:

  • 2013 became a very bright and eventful year in the professional activities of the actress. Julia took part in nine projects simultaneously - both films and TV series.
  • A year later, the actress received the main role in the film “Let's Kiss.” Subsequently, the film was broadcast by the Ukrainian TV channel “1+1”. At the same time, Takshina starred in the film “The Secret City,” which is a film adaptation of the saga of Vadim Panov.
  • A year later, the actress was offered to take part in the filming of the mini-series “Murder for Three.” The film is an adaptation of the detective story by Natalia Alexandrova. The plot tells how three friends witnessed a crime, which they subsequently try to investigate.

Personal life

During the filming of the acclaimed television series “Don't Be Born Beautiful,” the actress met Grigory Antipenko, who played one of the main roles. They fell in love with each other, and soon the couple began to live in a civil marriage. Their relationship lasted until 2012, during which time the lovers had two sons. Antipenko and Takshina have repeatedly stated that they do not need a stamp in their passport. The couple felt great without him, the children lived in a completely happy family. Even after breaking up, the former partners continue to communicate; they raise their sons together.

In March 2007, Gregory and Yulia were supposed to play together in a production of the play “Pygmalion” based on the play by Bernard Shaw. But due to Takshina’s pregnancy, she had to abandon the role in favor of Olga Lomonosova, who also starred in the series “Don’t Be Born Beautiful.” The girls became friends on the set of the project, and they still communicate very warmly, although they initially disliked each other. Shortly after the production, the first son of Grisha and Yulia was born, he was named Ivan. On July 3, 2009, Fedor, the second son, was born. His birth forced the actress to give up her career for a while, but already in 2010 she played brilliantly in the project “Partisans”.

What are Takshina's children doing in quarantine?

In her post on Instagram, Julia complains about online school and talks about the difficulties her children have faced. The main problem is the lack of proper software, which is why you often have to redo tasks because the system crashes.

The second problem is that it is difficult for children to study all the time in their room. The atmosphere of home relaxation is not conducive to this; this is not a classroom. Information is also poorly received due to insufficient contact between teacher and student.

I've never looked forward to a weekend so much! Online school is a test for children and their parents! We do 100 tests a day. Programs freeze, test results do not reach teachers. We have to redo everything again. In online lessons, children do not perceive new information. Because they don't have the feeling of school. They are at home. As a result, I myself am forced to explain new topics to the children. But if I can somehow cope with elementary school, then with the topics of the 6th grade (especially mathematics, Russian language, biology), everything is going slowly for me, to put it mildly. At the end of the day, I literally crawl to bed. I'm already dreaming of fractions, prefixes at and pre, monocotyledons..... the list goes on and on. It seems to me that in this situation it would be much more productive to review the material covered. Or give the children a list of literature that they should read during these “vacations”. The number of hours a child spends at the computer does not fit into any framework! They really sit in front of the monitor for 5-6 hours... How are things going with your school? #school

In this regard, Takshina has to try to explain new topics to her sons. “If I could still cope with elementary school, then problems begin with the topics of the 6th grade. Mathematics, Russian language and biology are difficult. At the end of the day, I can barely crawl to bed,” shared Yulia.

It’s hard to disagree with Takshina that the education system was not at all ready for such a situation. The educational process looks completely wrong if children have to look at screens from morning to night. And especially if such training is of little use.
