Mikhail Porechenkov's training for the film “PODDUBNY” Mikhail Porechenkov, a candidate master of sports in boxing, is still involved in boxing, but has never had anything to do with wrestling. “Finally, I managed to get a little taste of this great sport,” said Mikhail. Since Porechenkov’s face is always present in the frame, he could not have doubles. He performed all the stunts himself. This was achieved through training with instructors and careful study of each trick. All of Porechenkov’s opponents in the frame are professional wrestlers, and Ludovic Lelivre, who plays Raoul de Boucher, is a rugby world champion. After one of the fight scenes, Porechenkov felt pain in the chest area. The unpleasant sensation did not go away for several days. It turned out that the actor had cracks in two ribs. When asked how this happened, Porechenkov answered with a smile: “Very simple. Bad throw. Not only were the ribs damaged, there was a complete tear off of the biceps. I had to stop training and have surgery. But I don't regret it." During the weight gain and loss, the actor was accompanied by the Russian fitness champion, Nikolai Danilov-Nitusov, and Mikhail had to change his weight several times during filming. From 108 kg to play the role of Poddubny in his youth, then 115 -118 kg in maturity. That is, during 3 months of filming, tens of kilograms had to be juggled. How did he do it? CHANGES IN FORM From 100 to 125 kg During all the filming, which lasted more than three and a half months, Mikhail had to either gain or lose weight - to play the role of Poddubny at different ages, different shapes were required. Two weeks before the start of the project, he had to gain 25 kg to play Poddubny in old age, then he began to gradually lose weight - first to 118 (mature age), and then to 108 (youth). “Please note that for an adult, gaining weight is not so easy,” explains Nikolai Danilov-Nitusov. WEIGHT GAIN Diet In order to gain such muscle mass, Mikhail had to eat 5-6 times a day, mainly carbohydrates - cereals, dried fruits combined with protein. “You had to eat 400 grams of net carbohydrates a day. This is a very large amount of food,” says Danilov-Nitusov about Porechenkov. Trainings Trainings were rare at this time - 3-4 times a week, but voluminous. Porechenkov repeated each exercise only 10 times, no more. And I did basic exercises – presses. Once a week there was cardio training for the heart muscle. For example, he worked out on a treadmill. WEIGHT LOSS Diet. Carbohydrates were reduced to 100 grams per day, and sometimes up to 50. Training When losing weight, Porechenkov switched to training on individual muscle groups. I worked out every day, sometimes even twice a day. I was constantly running. Since it was not always possible to get to the gym, I had to run along the beach. The actor performed strength exercises. It was thanks to exercises with weights that I managed to achieve a figure like that of a wrestler. He did squats with a 160-kilogram barbell. At the age of 45, Mikhail showed the following results: 200 kg - maximum deadlift weight; 180kg – maximum weight in bench press; 160kg – maximum barbell weight for squats.

Mikhail Porechenkov: from boxing to cinema

It’s rare to see former professional boxers among the stars of Russian cinema. Mikhail Porechenkov is one of them.

The famous actor devoted nine years of his life to boxing. Porechenkov’s passion for boxing was influenced by a combination of circumstances - his last school years were spent in Poland, where there were many more opportunities than in the Soviet Union. At that time, from 1983 to 1986, in Poland there were already taekwondo, karate, and even such exotic sports as “keksul”. It was there that Porechenkov first saw films with Bruce Lee. In the USSR, video salons appeared only at the very end of the 80s, but for Mikhail all this was already familiar, it was the world of real big sports, both cinematic and professional.

According to the actor himself, on the one hand, the power of boxing scared him a little, but on the other, he always wanted to touch it.

Mikhail Porechenkov began boxing professionally at the age of nineteen, while studying at the Tallinn Military School, and even participated in competitions, starting in the category up to 63.5 kg, and finishing in the middle weight - up to 72.5 kg. However, despite his sporting successes - and Porechenkov received the title of candidate master of sports in boxing - he was expelled from the military school, just ten days before graduation! After which he went to serve in the Army, in a construction battalion.

After finishing his service and moving to St. Petersburg, Mikhail began to practice kickboxing, and then became interested in such an amazing type and style of fighting as sanda, which few people had heard of at that time. (Sanda is a combined martial art that combines elements of kickboxing and Chinese wrestling “Shuai Jiao”, one of the two disciplines in wushu tournaments).

Even after entering the Theater Institute, Porechenkov did not stop training, but continued to train, albeit at an amateur level.

Porechenkov's role as Lekha Nikolaev, played in 1999, brought fame and popular love to Porechenkov.

Sports achievements, the ability to handle weapons, instilled in a military school, and the “correct” dimensions predetermined the fact that Mikhail was put in military roles. (See, for example, the photo of Porechenkov in the film “D-Day”).

Daughter of Mikhail Porechenkov - Maria Porechenkova

Masha was born in 2004. She is making great progress in tennis and acting. Who she will become has not yet decided. But, most likely, he wants to follow in his father’s footsteps, continuing the acting dynasty. He studies at the Zaitsev Orthodox Gymnasium named after St. Basil the Great. Now I'm in 7th grade. For her studies, the daughter of Mikhail Porechenkov - Maria Porechenkova, the girl brings only A's, her teachers often praise her.

In the household, her responsibility is to help her mother with cleaning and cooking. Masha plays the piano very well. She often performs at school amateur performances. Under the guidance of her mother, the girl embroiders with cross stitches and beads.

The ex-wife of Mikhail Porechenkov - Irina Lyubimtseva

Mikhail Porechenkov and Irina Lyubimtseva met in Tallinn, where the girl lived, and young Misha came to enroll in a military school. They loved to wander through the beautiful streets of the Estonian capital. They didn't think seriously about the future, enjoying each other's company. The young people separated, Mikhail soon left, and Irina found out that she was expecting a child. Youthful maximalism did its job. The girl decided not to tell Mikhail about the child, deciding that she would raise him herself. But soon a tragic incident occurred, after which the boy remained with his grandmother and aunt. The ex-wife of Mikhail Porechenkov, Irina Lyubimtseva, was in a car accident in 1995. They fought for her life for several days, but she died. She was buried in one of the cemeteries in Tallinn.

Relations between Mikhail Porechenkov and Irina Lyubimtseva

The actor's first love came in the 80s. Then he was a student at the Higher Military-Political Construction School in Tallinn. Irina Lyubimtseva became Mikhail’s chosen one. According to him, the relationship began quickly and ended the same way.

Mikhail Porechenkov in his youth

The lovers quarreled violently every now and then, then made up and eventually separated. However, some time after the breakup, the girl gave birth to a son, Vladimir Lyubimtsev. After Irina’s sudden death in 1995, her parents raised the child. Mikhail met the heir when he turned 19 years old.

The ex-wife of Mikhail Porechenkov - Ekaterina Porechenkova

It was this determination and confidence that attracted the actor to Catherine. They dated for a while and then decided to get married. The girl worked as a translator from English, German and French. Mikhail was inspired by Catherine's determination. After her wedding to Mikhail, Catherine decided to become a businesswoman, which she did, although her young husband was against it. Out of nowhere, scandals began to arise between the young spouses. Even the birth of a daughter, whom the parents decided to name Varvara in honor of the heroine of the fairy tale “Varvara is beautiful, with a long braid,” did not save the union.

The ex-wife of Mikhail Porechenkov, Ekaterina Porechenkova, did not communicate with her ex-husband for a long time. Only recently did she begin to communicate with Mikhail.

Mikhail Porechenkov's wife - Olga Porechenkova

Mikhail Porechenkov met Olga in 1999. The girl worked as an artist on the set of one of the films. Mikhail and Olga immediately found a common language. According to the actor’s recollections, they could talk for hours. In 2000, the young people decided to get married, which they soon did. In 2002, after the birth of their son Mikhail, Mikhail Porechenkov’s wife, Olga Porechenkova, left her job and began to take care of the house, her husband and children, of whom they now have three.

Olga Porechenkova, according to Mikhail, is the person who decides the affairs of the whole family, and he is under her heel. A young woman helps the children with their homework, meets her husband from filming, and takes the children to extracurricular activities.
