Proper lip care will strengthen the work of a cosmetologist

Permanent lip makeup: what is it (before and after photos)

Permanent lip makeup has many advantages. It creates the appearance of volume, corrects shape and minor asymmetry, makes the color deeper and more saturated, and the contour clearer. Scars and various defects are camouflaged, including cleft lip. As you age, this is the best way to restore youth and freshness to your lips. Finally, you can forget about lipsticks and the constant worry that something will smudge or print where it shouldn’t!

What happens to your lips

Nothing! Your own lips do not suffer in any way after the procedure if permanent makeup was done by a professional. The main thing is to follow all care recommendations and make timely corrections to maintain the results. The maximum that will happen is that the pigment will gradually fade over time.

Keep in mind that the most common consequence of permanent lip makeup is herpes. The skin is severely damaged, so any infections can easily get into it. You need to be prepared for this and take care of prevention in advance.

Care

In order for the tattoo to last longer, you should properly care for your lips after the procedure. Follow these rules:

  • avoid going to the sauna/bath;
  • don't scratch your lips;
  • avoid water procedures in chlorinated or salted water;
  • do not use cleansers, at least for the first 2-3 days;
  • do not apply any cosmetics to the painted area;
  • make sure your lips are moisturized.

You can apply lipstick to henna, but you don’t need to do it all the time; the coloring matter will “go away” along with the remnants of the cosmetics. Do not allow yourself to chew your lips, this habit worsens the skin and reduces the life of the tattoo.

How to choose a color for permanent lip makeup

The color is always selected individually, because you need to take into account your own lip shade, skin tone, desired result and overall type. When carrying out the procedure, specialists combine several adjacent shades to make the result look as natural as possible.

Warm peach, apricot, salmon and beige shades are best suited for fair-haired, fair-skinned and light-eyed girls. Contrasting blondes and fair-haired women should pay attention to the same colors, but in cool tones. Dark hair and dark eyes suit more saturated red and even plum colors. And red and golden-blond people should pay attention to terracotta, brown, reddish and the same plum.

Permanent lip makeup techniques

There are many different techniques that an experienced master usually combines for specific tasks. Let's talk about the most popular of them!

Contour technique

The master draws a clear, neat outline if his own is blurry or uneven. The shade matches the tone of the lips, so the outline does not look drawn with a pencil. Very often, the procedure is preferred by older women due to characteristic age-related changes.

Feathering

Shading returns a bright and rich shade to the lips. The pigment is blended over the entire surface, from the contour or slightly beyond the boundaries. This is the best way to visually enlarge your lips, but you need to get the color perfectly.

Volumetric technology

The method is used if it is necessary to correct problems - asymmetry, lack of fullness, uneven contour. Usually the procedure is carried out in two stages: first, the master makes a contour and masks obvious imperfections, and the second time he fills everything with color.

Watercolor technique

In modern makeup, clear pencil lines are used less and less. The watercolor technique does not involve brightly defined boundaries, making the result look as natural as possible. And if you use muted shades, then no one in life will tell you that you have a lip tattoo!

Light kajal

An interesting technique involves applying light highlights, which makeup artists usually finish with a white pencil. As a result, lips appear more tender and plump. But this requires an ideal form from nature.

Permanent lipstick

This technique involves completely filling the lips with color so that they appear brightly colored. Suitable for those who cannot go out without their favorite lipstick. But you need to choose the color carefully, because it will be difficult to paint over bright lips.

Permanent makeup. My feelings and impressions.

The faint of heart should not look at the photo. I’ll write the report now, otherwise I’ll forget and be lazy later. I'll try to keep it short, but I make no promises. In short, it didn't work out. The story will be divided into three parts (eyebrows, eyes, lips). Sorry for the quality of the photos, I didn't try too hard.

We started with the eyebrows.

This is what happened BEFORE. Here I have a faded three-year-old tattoo.

How is it happening?

First, the eyebrows are drawn with a pencil and given the desired shape.

Then they apply Emla cream (it stings a little) for pain relief.

After some time, the process itself begins, which lasts an hour and a half.

Feels like it’s a little painful in some areas, but it’s quite bearable.

This is what we get as a result. The photo was taken immediately after the procedure.

Sorry, I don’t want to show my whole face like this.

Don’t rush to draw conclusions about whether it’s beautiful or not!))

Then everything will be fine) Now I just need to bide my time and be patient.

I am posting photos for you as they are, without embellishment, so that those who are thinking about tattooing can see all the stages of the work and make a decision for themselves.

Care: 3 times a day I apply a thin layer of Bepanten Plus cream to my eyebrows.

There are no more painful sensations.

The most important thing you need to know is that the crust cannot be picked off. She must get off on her own.

This will happen within 5-7 days after the procedure.

After a short break we moved on to the eyes.

How is it happening?

Of course, you can draw the arrows first, but in this case we did it impromptu.

The required area is lubricated with Emla cream (it stings strongly if it gets into the eyes, but then it becomes warm and pleasant).

After some time, the process itself begins, which lasts about 40 minutes (it seemed so to me).

After the procedure, the eyes become very swollen and the surrounding skin may turn red. This is normal.

BEFORE photo.

I remembered the song “You’re scary without makeup...” hee hee)))

Feelings: I thought it would be worse.

The main thing here is to wait for the anesthesia to take effect and not start ahead of time.

It will be painful at first. Because when the space between the eyelashes gets clogged and the needle walks between the eyelashes, tugging at them, it’s very funny)) So don’t be afraid!

Then the cream will gradually begin to release and you will feel a little pain, but this pain immediately becomes understandable and predictable. It took me a couple of minutes to get used to these sensations and lie still.

It turned out that doing the eyes was not as scary as I thought.

Photo AFTER:

I show you how it is)) Looks funny)))

Beautiful :))))))))))))))))))

Care: 3 times a day I smear my eyes with a thin layer of Bepanten plus cream.

There are no painful sensations.

We remember that the crust cannot be picked off. It should go away on its own in a few days.

And finally - lips.

The most important thing: do not forget that a few days before lip tattooing and a few days after you need to take Acyclovir (200 mg - 4 times a day or 400 mg - 2 times a day) so that your lips do not become covered with herpes.

BEFORE photo:

I was immediately warned to do my lips more than anything else.

Well, what about me? I'm nothing! Walk like that! Let's make lips!

Feelings: For some reason it didn’t hurt me, the master was even surprised.

Only it was unpleasant to make a depression in the middle of the upper lip, but it’s small, so it’s done quickly. It's OK. I didn't have any tears from my eyes. But here everything is individual. There was no blood at all either. But this is mine. Others have a lot.

It took me probably half an hour to fill my lips. Or maybe an hour. Who knows. But I didn’t have time to suffer.

Anesthesia: done in 2 stages.

First, spray so that there is a slight numbness and the injection is not too painful.

Then an injection - 4 times. Two injections in the upper gum, two in the lower gum (almost like at the dentist).

Then the fun begins. I laughed like crazy from the way my mouth twisted.

It was very funny to talk. And salivation completely refused to obey me :))

Of course, I made a face in front of the mirror with all my heart, and then I lay down….

And this is what we got )))))) Buuuu ))))))

Stand! Don't faint! :))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))) )))))))))

The photo was taken immediately after the procedure.

The swelling is severe! Even more! But you can laugh at yourself)) When will you see something like this again?

For some time, the ichor will be released and the frost will go away.

I asked those who are faint of heart or particularly squeamish not to watch! ))))

Some lines do not look straight, but this impression is deceptive due to uneven swelling.

We must understand that everything is as it should be.

I don’t think there’s any need to say that after getting a tattoo it’s better not to go home on the subway))))

People will misunderstand))))

By the way, remember? :)))

Care: several times a day I smear my lips with a thin layer of Bepanten plus cream.

No chapsticks or moisturizers! Tattooing shouldn't bother you!

There is a feeling of tightness, as if the lips are chapped. But they don't hurt!!! And it pleases! :))

The most important thing is to beat yourself up if you want to pick at your new lips.

In a week it will be beautiful. La-la-la! )))))

Well, if you don’t look at me directly, then immediately after all these, as it turned out, not so terrible manipulations, I looked like this:

Have magical transformations!

If you have any questions, just ask.

Please leave comments (just in case) in the correct form.

When everything heals, I will definitely show you! You won't know :))))

Thanks to everyone who made it to the end.

Smack-smack! :))))

The master says:

Permanent makeup (tattoo) is essentially a tattoo, but differs from it in that it is minimally traumatic. When tattooing, the dye is injected into the skin to a depth of 0.3 - 0.8 mm, as a result of which it adorns the face for no more than 1.5-3 years. Tattooing is gaining more and more popularity. It allows you to save time that a woman usually spends on daily makeup, and also eliminates allergies to cosmetics. With the help of permanent makeup you can visually enlarge your lips or make them brighter. You can highlight your eyes, giving them the effect of “thick eyelashes.” You can also adjust the shape of your eyebrows, resulting in a more open look. You just need to know what exactly you want. Therefore, the second condition for a good tattoo is a clear idea of exactly what shape you want to get and what pigment suits you best. Permanent lip makeup can be contour or full. Contour tattooing – emphasizes the natural contour of your lips and corrects existing asymmetry. The color of the contour is usually matched to the color of the lips. If it is assumed that the contour should be clear and thin, use the thinnest needle; more vague - applied with a “triple” needle. First, the so-called basting contour is made, with its help only the shape of the lips is fixed, then the secondary, final one is made. Full lip tattooing allows you to correct the shape of your lips, make them brighter and more juicy, and eliminate any defects. In this case, in addition to the contour on the lips, they do the so-called shading - that is, they fill not only the outer edge of the lip with pigment, but also the lip itself. Without shading, your lips look as if you have outlined them with a contour pencil, but have not yet applied lipstick. The purpose of shading is to smooth out this effect. As a result, you can practically not paint your lips; if you wish, you can only apply a light gloss. The color of the shading may or may not coincide with the color of the outline - it all depends on the artistic taste of the artist and the wishes of the client. It can be lightened with a special composition that will make the paint more transparent and natural - in this case, the natural shade of the lips seems to shine through the paint, and it looks very elegant. Typically, a complete permanent makeup procedure (contour with shading) takes 1-3 hours. In the first day there will be swelling on the lips. Immediately after the procedure and 2-3 days after it, the lips will look brightly painted. On the 3-4th day, peeling will begin, and when it ends, processes of distribution and fixation of pigment will occur in the skin. Your lips may appear unevenly colored; this is normal. Within about 2 weeks, the brightness and color saturation will decrease by 30-50% and remain that way. But the final outcome of the procedure can only be judged in a month. Then it will become clear whether correction is required, that is, a repeated procedure for permanent lip makeup to even out the color and correct nuances. Within a month after the procedure, it is recommended: · use special wound-healing ointments for the lips after each meal, · wash the skin around the lips with warm boiled water, without using detergents, · prevent herpes. The last recommendation is relevant not only for care after the procedure, but also for preparation for it. Nothing causes more damage to permanent lip makeup than herpes. It partially “eats” the applied pigment, and the contour may become uneven and torn. Since the herpes virus is in the blood of 70-80% of people, and damage to the subcutaneous layer of the lips during tattooing provokes its manifestations, you need to take antiviral drugs before and after the procedure. During the month after the procedure, it is not recommended to: · allow the skin on the lips to dry out and crack, · steam the face, · sunbathe, · forcibly exfoliate crusts, · use lipstick, lip gloss, · depilate hair on the upper lip, · allow contact with detergents for face and hair, toothpaste, alcohol-containing tonics for the permanent makeup area.

Stages of permanent lip makeup

During the preparatory stage, prevention of herpes is definitely necessary, even for those girls who have never seen it in their lives. And in a couple of days, give up solarium, sunbathing, alcohol and any potential irritants.

During the procedure, the master will draw an outline, apply a sketch and select shades. You can use a pain reliever if you wish, but some professionals do not recommend it because your skin may react differently. First they do the contour, and only then the shading. On average, a session takes up to 3 hours, depending on the complexity and technique.

Laser lip tattoo removal

Hi all! I remember I promised to tell my amazing story of lip tattoo removal with laser. Well, listen and don’t be too scared, all the torture had a temporary effect :) Let’s start with the fact that all our problems come from our heads, which I began to call for some time now, WINNER STUPID :) In 2010, a wonderful thought came to me, to do lip tattoo As usual, we all want to save money, the procedure is not cheap, and so I met a girl, she had amazing lips, after talking with her, I found out that her aunt does tattooing, in general, in the end I ended up in the hands of this aunt. Aunt Katya, if you are reading me, change your profession! In short, they gave me a tattoo, when the scabs began to come off, I realized one thing, my lips were a mess, I asked Aunt Katya to do the contour for me. Why the hell did she decide to take it a little higher.....You will see this in the photo. This is how I went through it for 4 years, periodically either getting tattooed or covering it up with foundation :)

This tattoo is almost 4 years old, but he had no intention of leaving on his own. I know that someone will say that it was the norm, but for me it was not.

In short, I decided, after reading the reviews and talking to experienced people about this topic, to go for this scary procedure.:-P Firstly, it was scary, because no one knows how the pigment will behave, and it is impossible to predict. I could have green lips, or rather a contour, and it would take more than one procedure to remove it. Secondly, it hurts! Yes, girls, it’s not only not pleasant, it’s painful, even ice-caine didn’t really help me. Tears flowed freely. But I endured it all. On the way out after the procedure. When my lips were blown apart from mechanical damage, I experienced unreal, gigantic swelling. Mukles, as my friends told me, would be jealous. While I was driving home, my lips were growing, swelling, etc. I had to stop at the first pharmacy and buy myself bandages (muzzles). Because I didn’t want to scare my family :) For 2 days I had to walk around looking like such a beauty. By the way, you never know who will find it useful, swelling goes away well if you take Suprastin, Traumeel and smear Traumeel on your lips, and also apply ice! That’s why I didn’t manage to come to the meeting with Kutusya……. Although, maybe it should have been left that way?)))))

You know, this is also a good option to check which lips suit you :) In general, when the swelling began to go away and I began to take on a human, normal face, life somehow immediately got better. My scabs went away for a week!

At the end of the day, this is what I got :) I’m happy with it at the moment, but I think I’ll have to do another procedure to make everything completely clean! :) Since I’ve decided to do it, I have to go to the end. day 8

day 12

As you can see in the last photo, the lips have paled significantly, the contour. In some places slightly blue spots are visible, I don’t know what they are, but I think the pigment is leaving me. In general, it is not visible and does not catch the eye. In general, what I wanted to say with my post. 1. Dear girls, don’t go where it’s cheap! Of course, no one will give you guarantees, but it’s better to go to a trusted artist, and not to Aunt Katya! That time I decided to save a lot, but in vain... because I know a truly cool tattoo artist. I had my eyebrows and lips done by her myself for the first time and everything was wonderful. And then... in short, it went crazy. The miser pays twice, what wise words! :) 2. Girls, or better yet, don’t touch your lips at all! I think that tattooing is really necessary for those who don’t have lips! To be continued......second procedure in 20 days.

Lip care

After permanent lip makeup and until healing, you need to avoid sun, scrubs and other aggressive influences. You cannot use decorative cosmetics or touch your lips with your hands. For the first couple of days, it is better to stay at home and periodically wipe the damaged skin with chlorhexidine and lubricate it with healing ointment. Recommendations from experts may vary, because each situation is individual.

How do lips heal after tattooing?

The lips heal very quickly, but the result can be fully appreciated no earlier than in a month. The first days they seem too bright and swollen. By the third day, the swelling subsides and crusts begin to form. They should not be scratched, torn off or touched with hands - this will ruin the result. Usually the crusts finally disappear after about a week, and the color becomes paler.

Do permanent lip makeup need correction?

The first correction is made 1-1.5 months after the procedure, when the final result is already clearly visible. The master corrects minor defects, adjusts the shade, and takes into account wishes. In the future, corrections are made as the pigment fades, approximately once every 1-1.5 years. Repeated procedures are often easier, faster and cheaper if done on time!

Is correction of permanent lip makeup necessary?

Care after tattoo

After the procedure, a good master will tell you how to properly care for your lips, since this is an important factor that will affect not only the quality of the tattoo, but also its durability.

And the main points that a cosmetologist should mention are:

  • Skin disinfection.
  • Lubrication with healing and restorative creams.
  • Sun protection.
  • Washing with warm boiled water without soap.

Disinfection of lip skin

Disinfection after the micropigmentation procedure is required for 8-10 days until the swelling, redness and crusts disappear. You can do this 2-3 times a day - in the morning immediately after washing and breakfast, in the afternoon after lunch and in the evening after dinner. Solutions such as Miramistin and Chlorhexidine are perfect for disinfection. The first product can be used for sensitive skin, as it does not contain alcohol. The second product has an alcohol base, so people with hypersensitivity and dry skin cannot use Chlorhexidine as a bactericide.

Lubrication with cream

You need to apply cream to your lips after treating with a bactericide and before going outside. This can be done not only during the period when skin restoration and wound healing occurs, but also after. In this case, Bepanten antiseptic cream or Boro Plus ointment may be suitable, which, in addition to wound healing, has a soothing property. These products will perfectly relieve redness and swelling, and will ensure that the dermis is not exposed to sunlight and frosty air. Additionally protects against germs. You can choose another cream, but make sure that it contains vitamins A and E.

The cream, with its daily long-term use, will not only restore and protect the skin, but also give it softness, tenderness, elasticity, and maintain the natural balance of moisture in the dermis.

To protect against sun exposure, it is better to choose a cream containing SPF filters. In addition, the product will help preserve the color of the pigment and fix it in the dermis for a longer time.

In some cases, mechanical damage to the dermis and the introduction of pigment can temporarily weaken the immune system and cause herpes. To prevent this, it is necessary to smear your lips with antiviral agents such as Herpevir and Zovirax.

Washing

For washing, be sure to use only clean boiled water. You should not wash your face from the tap - such water contains many harmful impurities and microbes that can get into wounds and cause inflammation and suppuration, and become a source of skin diseases. You also cannot use soap, but you can take any PH-neutral washing gel with an antibacterial effect.

All these simple steps will help you recover quickly and get the desired result without consequences.

Is it possible to remove permanent lip makeup?

It is possible to get rid of permanent makeup, but the process is very long. You will either have to wait for the pigment to fade on its own, or use laser removal. Laser is more effective, but several painful procedures will be required. Although there is a plus - it is usually easier to remove permanent on the lips than on other areas.

Is it possible to remove permanent lip makeup?

Contraindications to permanent makeup

Lip tattooing should not be done in case of acute inflammation, viral or fungal infections, or malignant tumors. Contraindications are epilepsy, some blood pathologies and a tendency to form keloid scars. It is better to postpone the procedure during pregnancy and breastfeeding. If in doubt, we recommend consulting with your doctor.

Keep in mind that the result of permanent makeup is not always predictable. Too much depends on the individual reaction of the skin, especially to pigments in red and pink shades. To at least make sure there is no allergy, they first do a small test!

What it is

Girls choose hardware and manual techniques to perform tattoo correction of the natural style of the lips: color, shape, contour, and other criteria.

A dye in the chosen style based on reviews and photos is injected into the epidermis, which appears and remains on the woman’s lips for up to three years. The durability of lip tattoos, based on photos and reviews, is influenced by the following factors:

  1. Depth of dye injection. This parameter is usually controlled by a cosmetologist, but before applying the drawing, you can express to him your preferences for future work. Based on the reviews and attached photos, you can determine that the factor makes a significant difference.
  2. Selected drawing. Powder lip tattoo as in the photo, according to reviews, will last less than the contour, since the style of applying the pattern varies.
  3. Care during the healing period. Due to the damage to the epidermis, it takes some time for the lips to heal, they should be cared for so that the cells regenerate properly.
  4. Lip tattooing should be applied correctly; for this it is important to choose a specialist who has experience in this area; you should not neglect his advice.

You can highlight the advantages because of which female or male representatives perform lip tattooing; you can find out about them from reviews or photos:

  1. Persistence. Thanks to one or two visits to cosmetology, the client will receive a result that will last under standard conditions for at least a year, and its maximum time is 3 years until complete fading.
  2. Saving time and money on purchasing and using decorative cosmetics on your lips. Reviews indicate that in photos and in real life the effect looks like cosmetics.
  3. Availability of different methods. The variety of techniques allows girls to choose the type or application technique that suits them.
  4. Recovery occurs within a month after the main lip tattoo session; if it proceeds correctly, the cells will undergo regeneration.

The main disadvantage according to reviews is the high price for tattooing, as well as the likelihood of negative consequences, which are described in the reviews and shown in the attached photos.
