How femininity is killed, or rules of good manners for unruly hair

Marilyn Monroe forever wrote in the minds of millions of men the association of blondes and sexuality, just as the Amazons have embodied the spirit of warlike and courageous brunettes for centuries, and the image of the red-haired beast has not left television screens for a long time. Is there really a connection between natural hair color and a person's character? Does nature determine our consciousness by mixing genes, or is it just an illusion, a consequence of stereotypes and psychological attitudes given by society?

Scientists have been trying to find answers for a long time, and some of the results can already be analyzed. Hair color, like any element of our appearance, is associated with a specific combination of hormones. In particular, the ratio of testosterone (male sex hormone) and estrogen (female hormone). There is an opinion that the more testosterone in a woman’s body, the darker the color of her hair, and, accordingly, the more estrogen, the lighter it is. Hence the presence of masculine features in brunettes and the tenderness and femininity of blondes. However, not everything is so simple, we are talking not about the amount of hormones, but about the predominance, and this is influenced by a lot of side factors. However, certain character traits and patterns of behavior depending on hair color can be identified.

Hot brunettes

In philosophy and mythology, the color black symbolizes negation; this thesis can be found in all cultures. Moreover, in parallel it is impossible not to notice the eternal struggle of two principles - white and black, good and evil, life and death, male and female. The first thing black hair color suggests is denial. John, Goethe, Fromm and many others wrote about this. Brunettes involuntarily deny their femininity and strive to be closer to men. At the same time, Luscher noted another feature - the black color symbolizes an aggressive desire for power. This is the color of sorrow and self-control - the clothes of priests and sexy lingerie. Black women don't just crave equality, they crave supremacy.

It is not for nothing that in the minds of many societies, regardless of the era, the brunette has always been represented as a femme fatale. She was the eternal heroine of the epic - a forest nymph, an Amazon and many others. At the same time, they were always haunted by a magical and mysterious aura. According to men, dark-haired women are successful, smart, calculating and cold. Astrologers attribute creativity, attractiveness, charm and fearlessness to brunettes. The influence of Pluto gives them strength and insight. Coarse black hair is associated with hot temper and eloquence. The apogee of brunettes is considered to be the owner of curly black hair; they are powerful, strong and freedom-loving, smart and very willful. As a rule, they are intellectually developed and have a good sense of humor.

However, research by scientists has shown that brunettes are often characterized by hidden melancholy, self-doubt and inner feelings. The latter are precisely the cause of sharp temperament and periodic aggression. Brunettes are not only inclined towards criminology and exact sciences, but also more often than others turn to psychology, religion, and art.

In the sexual sphere, brunettes are very temperamental , sometimes even too much. You should not expect tenderness from them in bed. At the same time, another aspect of the character is revealed - brunettes are excellent actresses, very passionate and cunning.

If a girl changes her hair color to black: psychology

Such a desire speaks of a desire to become an authoritative, impartial person, capable of defending her opinion and, if necessary, standing up for herself. It is determined by existing stereotypes regarding brunettes:

Men decide to marry, as is known, also representatives of this hair color, in contrast to blondes, with whom it is pleasant only to spend time;

Girls with black hair are most often balanced, calm, stable and reliable.

Blondes

The myth about the stupidity and short-sightedness of blondes has become overgrown with hundreds of anecdotes. It is a myth, since it is based on a simple association - blondes seem more feminine, tender and fragile. And femininity on a subconscious level gives men a feeling of superiority. Do not forget that the myth was created by men. In addition, thin features, light hair and skin are associated with childish spontaneity and naivety, which are subconsciously attributed to blondes.

In fact, blonde women often occupy leadership positions and are successful in business. And there are reasons for this. They are cold, moderately weak and superficial. It is the cold, always “sober” mind that is often confused with narrow-mindedness and stupidity, and it is thanks to it that blondes are characterized by good analytical skills, impeccable self-control and endurance in any tense situations. In addition, their “spiritual coldness” usually quickly disappears when surrounded by family and loved ones.

Under the influence of estrogen, blondes behave more refined, with inherent tenderness and softness, and a willingness to obey. Thanks to this, they are always more popular with men, which, however, often plays a cruel joke - behind the external timidity of a fair-haired beauty, cold prudence, a sharp mind and temperament can be hidden.

How does changing hair color affect a woman’s consciousness? Bookmark 1

It has long been noted that the color of wallpaper or your favorite blouse affects your mood and well-being. Hair color is no exception. It plays a very important role in a woman’s appearance and reveals the properties of her nature. Changing your hair color can change your destiny, so you should be careful with experiments.

A strong desire to radically change your color indicates changes in life: something has changed inside and requires external reflection.
Radical changes in hair indicate very global internal changes. The chosen shade of color reveals expectations. There is an opinion that if a woman decides to lighten her hair, then she is tired of making important decisions. She wants to feel weak, to lean on a man’s shoulder. The stronger sex, as you know, prefers blondes, and there are not many women with such natural hair color. But are blondes really as narrow-minded and frivolous as they say? Of course not. Blonde ladies are very reserved, they have developed intuition. In addition, they are characterized by a mathematical mindset, but those around them often do not notice this, since blondes trust few people, putting on a mask of carelessness and lightness. Blonde hair symbolizes perseverance, and this must be taken into account by those girls who decide to become blondes.

Those who decide to dye their hair black often lack control over their own lives. These ladies really want independence in decision making. They were tired of looking back at others and wanted to become masters of their words and actions. But, having painted themselves black, some notice that it has become difficult for them to negotiate and compromise. Almost always, melancholy and dissatisfaction are hidden under the brightness of color. It is brunettes who turn to psychologists more often than others. They are treated as fatal, mysterious women. But they break men’s hearts not from cruelty, but from self-doubt. Those who want to bring a little efficiency and independence into everyday life can safely wear black.

Chestnut color indicates harmony and balance. Ladies with brown hair are mysterious, but it’s difficult to call them fatal. This color is suitable for those who yearn for the warmth and comfort of home. Don't forget about holidays and unexpected joys. On the personal front, owners of brown hair can also expect success - they make wonderful wives and housewives.

Light brown color is probably the most common. The desire to dye your hair light brown indicates a desire for naturalness. Brown-haired people are calm and practical. They should avoid routine and boredom, then their life will be more harmonious. Ladies with brown hair are good psychologists, they know how to listen, so people often turn to them for advice. People with brown hair are usually happily married.

Red color gives independence. The body of people born with red hair produces less anti-stress hormones - this has been proven. This fact explains their active, and sometimes even not very balanced character. Red-haired people love change, dynamics, and adventure. Those who want this hair color may be missing something special. However, we must remember that the fiery hue can lead to not entirely adequate actions that surprise loved ones and acquaintances. Intemperance, impulsiveness, the desire to turn everything around upside down are the lot of redheads. Anyone who is ready for this can safely repaint it.

Red hair

In all cultures, red is the color of fire, struggle, and courage. Fire, in turn, is a symbol of purification, which is why in the Middle Ages red-haired people were persecuted and considered witches and messengers of hell. At the same time, redhead personifies passion, danger, and unbridledness. In mythology, this color was characteristic of the first priestesses of love.

According to research, such women are indeed characterized by a stormy lifestyle , hot temper and fearlessness, this is due to hormonal characteristics. As a rule, they are resourceful and very harmonious internally, which creates the foundation for practicing art and music. The bright copper color always attracts attention, and the natural charm gives red-haired girls the opportunity to make many acquaintances.

Psychology: an internal desire to dye your hair red

This desire can be explained by several points.

Firstly, fatal red-haired beauties attract attention with their daring, passion and, at the same time, childishness.

Secondly, such a desire “from within” suggests that the girl is very emotional, unrestrained and impetuous with a rather hot-tempered and unstable character.

Thirdly, such people are accustomed to always being on top, putting work and themselves in the forefront.

Can hair color change a woman's relationship with the world around her? I want to tell you two stories that left a residue of caustic bitterness in my soul.

Story one. “I want red hair! But as soon as I’m about to change my color, I feel anxious: everyone will be looking at me!” This woman’s comment recently caught my eye on one of the social networks. The conflict of needs is obvious - in a few words. On the one hand, there is the desire to become brighter and more noticeable, on the other, the fear of being the object of attention. The choice remained unclear. The author of the dilemma never answered the question of what she still wants more: to become noticeable or to remain unnoticed.

The image that a person creates with the help of hairstyle and clothing is a non-verbal message addressed to external space. Any detail can convey important information that is not always permissible to express in words, and most importantly, the author of the message is not always aware of its hidden meaning.

A deep neckline speaks of sensuality and the desire to arouse the sexual interest of men, a formal suit emphasizes restraint and gives a sign of the appropriateness of business communication, sportswear indicates a penchant for an active lifestyle. Of course, business style can become a sign of unbridled lust, and half-naked breasts can be a call to sign a business cooperation agreement, but then a double message arises: “stay here - come back.” Now I’m not talking about the masters of cognitive dissonance.

Hairstyle and hair color are also signs of a special language. You can go blonde to express softness and fragility. You can turn into a brunette to highlight your brightness. You can dye your hair the color of fire to hint at what's going on inside. And the most interesting thing is that all these traits can be combined in one woman. The question is which personality trait this woman wants to focus on here and now.

Not so long ago, not natural, but very effective colors have become popular, which help women tell the world about their courage, willingness to take risks and experiment. Choose any tone - blue, pink, green. Whatever your heart desires. Anything that allows you to be yourself, demonstrate your uniqueness and be different from other people. But first of all, what you yourself sincerely want. An emotionally healthy person is aware of what he wants and realizes his desires.

“I want, but I can’t” is a formula for emotional impotence based on the inability to make a choice, on the unwillingness to declare to the world one’s uniqueness. “I want to become a redhead” - there is a lot of energy, a lot of life in this desire. It sounds like a need for attention, for the interest of others. Of course, you don't have to change your hair color to spark interest. You can recognize your real need and open up to the world to receive this attention. But this level of awareness is available to few. Therefore, attracting attention with clothes and hairstyle is the simplest and most accessible way of self-expression. “I'm afraid to be noticeable” is a fear of contact, because contact can be dangerous. But why is it so dangerous for some women to be attractive? Each woman can only answer this question herself.

While an unconscious need vibrates in the depths of the soul, a person intuitively performs actions that can lead to the satisfaction of this very need. For example, you can dye your hair some rare color and in this tone tell the world something very important about yourself. O great and mighty native language! A non-standard hair color can fit into the “rules of good manners.” Why not? After all, this is simply an element of self-expression, just a sign of the non-verbal language of communication with society!

Sometimes a woman’s desire to be open and speak boldly with the world collides with shame based on savage patriarchal prohibitions imposed by parents. “A girl should be modest!” "Don't stand out!" “Be like everyone else!” I know several women who wanted to make themselves known to the world, but their cry became stuck in their throats. For them, being special is unacceptable, unworthy. To become faceless, to whiten one’s personality, to erase the features of individuality – these are the values that are approved by the unhealthy part of society, disfigured by the rotten political regime that has disappeared into oblivion. The regime is long gone, but the consciousness poisoned by it remains. And the carriers of this consciousness, thoroughly saturated with poison, continue to impose on others their ideals, alien to sanity.

The second story is much more dramatic than the first. My son brought it from school. A tenth-grader came to roll call before the new school year with a new haircut and blue hair. The haircut suited the girl; it matched her clothes harmoniously and emphasized her uniqueness. The new style was enthusiastically accepted by classmates. But the joy was darkened by the anger of the head teacher, who said that blue hair was unacceptable for students of this school.

First, the head teacher referred to the school charter, which states that students are required to wear a school uniform. But the charter says nothing about hair color and haircut. Apparently realizing the weakness of her argument, the head teacher said that wearing blue hair at school was prohibited because it was a bad example for elementary school students, and if everyone started dyeing their hair, anarchy would reign at school. The school's leadership probably prefers a dictatorship, and if the dictatorship is threatened by multi-colored hair, they should declare war. Indeed, how can you manage students if everyone has a different hair color?! Good tone is a tone approved by the school administration. It turns out that the administration has its own preferences. What if one of the students has the wrong skin tone? There has already been one such ideologist in history, and everyone remembers how it ended.

Tenth grade is the time of awakening of femininity. This is the age when it is especially important to be liked and receive compliments, it is important to find your own style, to discover your uniqueness. And it’s so important to give girls emotional support, to show them that their new needs are valuable! Unfortunately, not every adult is capable of such communication. But there are more than enough people who want to kill the first sprouts of femininity!

It is difficult for a young person to resist an authoritarian regime and defend the right to be oneself. But it was blue hair, which means it is a special sign in the nonverbal dictionary. Defending her right to uniqueness, the girl destroyed what became the cause of the conflict. No hair - no problem. The school charter says nothing about a bald head. And if the head teacher had any complaints about the shape of the skull, it would be outright Nazism.

I regret that some women suppressed the desire to become bright and chose to remain a shadow of themselves. It saddens me that manifestations of originality provoke the indignation of those for whom it is easier and more convenient to control a faceless crowd. And yet, I have considerable reason for optimism: daring girls with blue hair, these rebellious Malvinas, are next to us. They came to show that being yourself, not like everyone else, is not scary. I believe that there is no force today that could cause irreparable damage to the emerging new femininity. And I want to live in a country of unruly multi-colored hair!

The desire to become a blonde: psychology

There are already almost legendary stories about “golden hair” in the world about stupid doll-like blondes with big eyes and a naive look. However, often the desire to dye your hair blonde has nothing to do with well-known sayings.

Sometimes a girl, through such a change in appearance, simply wants to become more attractive and attractive to men. After all, a blonde is also an image of femininity and touchingness, which so captivates men.

Women with hair of this type, as they say, can be forgiven a lot. They are vulnerable and touchy, requiring reliability and protection. The desire to achieve just such an image drives many who consciously change their appearance.

Oddly enough, his hair can tell a lot about a person’s character. And above all – their color. The importance of hair color in a woman’s life will be discussed below. Genes and symbolism

“Gentlemen prefer blondes, marry brunettes, and sleep with redheads” - there is only a grain of joke in this joke. The fact is that hormones tend to have a direct effect on the color of our hair. Thus, the amount of dark pigment is determined by the content of the male hormone - testosterone. If its level in the body is high, then the hair is given a dark shade. The female hormone estrogen rages in the blood of blondes. Therefore, brunettes are endowed with many masculine character traits - they are stubborn and active, eager to make a career, and choose independence. And blondes are more feminine; they often behave softly and passively. Men subconsciously detect large amounts of estrogen, which is why they are attracted to fair-haired women.

In addition, there is symbolism that has been created over centuries. The first known blonde is Aphrodite, the goddess of love, and the brunette Artemis is a hunter and warrior. The sunny, beautiful Apollo confronts the black-haired Bacchus, always drunk, surrounded by goat-footed companions. Those. everything good, pure in our subconscious is connected with the light, and the incomprehensible, alarming - with the dark.

Stereotypes are a very subtle thing; reason alone cannot destroy them. It seems that everyone knows that a blonde can be a bitch, and a brunette can be gentle and docile, but despite the fact that when you first see a white or black girl, perception stereotypes are initially triggered in the subconscious. Accordingly, people who have one or another hair color begin to behave as society expects of them.

White and fluffy

Blondes have always been in fashion - since ancient times. The ancient Hellenic and Roman women went to great lengths to erase their natural dark hair color, becoming blond beauties. They tried to soak their hair in donkey urine and then burn it for hours under the scorching sun, sitting on the balcony. Both ash and goat fat were used.

In the 30s of the last century, the blonde became a symbol of new life in various countries: in Hitler’s Germany (“true Aryan”), in the USSR (heroines Lyubov Orlova, Valentina Serova, Lydia Smirnova) and in the USA, where the blonde woman still represents "American Dream".

There is an opinion that blondes are inherent in being feminine, peaceful, and friendly. They easily adapt to their partner’s desires, are not very demanding in bed, and therefore do not frighten men. The fair-haired woman is not inclined to be stubborn, she is affectionate, impressionable, and a little naive.

Psychologists believe that the attractiveness of Goldilocks is also due to the fact that she resembles a child: she usually has thin, porcelain-like skin, wide-open light eyes, and delicate facial features. Many fairy tale heroines are blondes. This includes Cinderella, Gerda, and most of the good princesses. And since everything connected with children, with childhood, evokes warmth and tenderness, these feelings are automatically transferred to adult fair-haired women.

Beware of my love!

When you hear the word “brunette,” the image of a femme fatale like Carmen appears in your mind, with her unbridled, irrepressible passion. The ancient Greeks believed that deep forests were inhabited by creatures with long, usually dark, hair - nymphs who ambushed and attacked men in order to drive them into a frenzy with hot kisses and sophisticated caresses.

At all times, women with long black hair were considered witches and sorceresses. (True, in countries where the majority of the population is brunette, blondes and redheads were appointed to the role of “representatives of evil spirits.”) This stereotype has persisted to this day. Ladies with black hair are perceived as figures fraught with risk and fate. They are passionate, calculating, and have powerful energy and magnetism. Nowadays, along with the fashion for everything gothic, sophisticated and mysterious brunettes are again in the spotlight.

Men endow dark-haired women with extraordinary intelligence (jokes about blondes are mainly based on their naivety and narrow-mindedness). These ladies can seriously engage in work and make a good career. In addition, the stronger sex assumes that they are wonderful wives and good mothers. It is not clear, however, how this meaning of hair color is combined with the nature of the nymphomaniac that supposedly lives in every brunette. But these are already features of male logic...

Children of the Sun

They were always different from everyone else. For this they were burned at the stake and for this they were idolized. And even in our time, they continue to disturb the imagination: fiery, sunny, golden... red.

For a long time, researchers could not understand where the gene that determines red hair color came from. Their research took them to times before the appearance of Homo sapiens. It turned out that the carriers of the golden hair gene were... Neanderthals. For some time they lived on earth at the same time as Homo sapiens, and from this union solar children were born. Then the Neanderthals died out, and their descendants still attract attention with their fiery hair color.

Since red-haired people have complex genes, their character has many features that are unique to them. They are contradictory: on the one hand, they are impatient, stubborn, uncompromising people, on the other hand, they are the most generous and optimistic people in life. Thanks to their frantic temperament, red-haired people could achieve considerable heights in their careers, but they are hampered by an unjustified desire for risk and dubious experiments. Even if these people are friendly, intelligent, well-mannered, being around them is always a little unsettling. This is how their temperament manifests itself - it is impossible not to feel it.

Redheads also have a vulnerable side: they are very sensitive to pain. Doctors know that they need to give 20 percent more painkillers than others. At the same time, you need to be careful when prescribing other medications: redheads can give an unpredictable allergic reaction.

It is believed that for a woman with fiery hair, family is not the most important thing in life. She wants to experience the world in all its diversity. A redhead can only be attracted by a man who is not afraid of her superiority. Well, and he... Those who have known the daughters of the sun are unlikely to be carried away by someone else.

Dark future

There are fewer and fewer people on earth who are carriers of the blond hair gene. The last blonde could be born in Finland in 2202, according to the World Health Organization.

Men, despite the fact that they like fair-haired women, often marry brunettes and brown-haired women. Ladies also want to see their husband dark-haired. If we also take into account the fact that population growth is due to the southern peoples, then our future is very dark.

As for redheads, there are only 1-2 percent of them on the planet. Most of them live in Scotland and Ireland. So people with natural red hair won't be easy to meet either.

However, it is unlikely that even after 200 years in prison the entire population of the Earth will be declared to be scorching brunettes and brunettes. After all, even if in ancient times women found means to lighten their hair, then in the 21st century even more so. You won't even need to use donkey urine. Cosmetic companies annually release new, increasingly advanced hair dyes. Ladies are going to experiment with their appearance.

The most interesting thing is that by changing her hair color, a woman also changes her character. Here, the importance of hair color in life cannot be neglected. A brunette who has dyed her hair blonde begins to behave like a natural blonde, as she feels more soft, feminine, and gentle. The most famous blondes: Marilyn Monroe, Marlene Dietrich, Lyubov Orlova - had naturally dark hair.

So if you become:

Blonde

– You will be treated as feminine, weak, soft and gentle. The looks of men will be attracted to you like a magnet. You may even be drawn to romance - you will want to listen to compliments and accept gifts. You just have to be careful: men perceive “blond angels” as easy prey and are often not going to make far-reaching plans for them.

Brunette

– You can suddenly become rational and even pessimistic. People in your presence will no longer be as easy to chat about little things and stupid things in life as before. After all, your entire appearance will set them in a strict mood. If you want to get a job in a reputable company, then your new image will serve you well. Management perceives dark-haired women as more serious and work-oriented.

Red-haired

– You need to prepare for the fact that you may be drawn to adventures, you will suddenly want to destroy stereotypes, rebel against gray everyday life, do something forbidden, daring. In addition, the world around you will begin to push you to do this. Be careful: you may turn out to be extreme and guilty of all sins. While searching for the culprits, those around you will prefer to retreat: “What am I, a redhead or something?” And then blame everything on you.

With the onset of the new season, many women are eager for change. Such desires did not pass me by and I changed my usual image. Namely, she dyed her hair from a bright blonde to a more natural, light brown.

For some, this is an unnoticeable nuance, because some women constantly and radically change their image, but for me, it’s a small, but change that occurred under the influence of many factors.

But men don’t even think about why women change their hair color

, signaling to others about changes in your inner world. There are several reasons for this, some serious and some not so serious.
