Ukrainian actor Andrey Danilko really “a little over thirty” - this year he will celebrate his 45th anniversary. And he spent about half his life in the form Verka Serduchka - an impudent conductor with a terrible accent. He came up with this image while still in school, and Verka earned popularity in the 90s, touring the countries of the former USSR with concerts and somehow combining this difficult process with his studies. This image disappeared from the TV screen to the people when Danilko began hosting the humorous talk show “SV-show” on the “1+1” channel. Then he also started singing - in general, now Serduchka is an indispensable part of the Ukrainian cultural landscape, which can single-handedly literally pull out the very boring Eurovision, which was held in Kyiv in 2017.
And so Andrei Danilko decided to part with the stage image that the audience loved. He announced this on the eve of the concert, which will take place on July 13 in Odessa. There will probably be other performances, but on the artist’s website there is currently only one inscription: “Vacation.”

She is already a holiday in herself! By the way, in addition to well-known songs, Verka has prepared several new compositions, the premiere of which will take place in Odessa.”
The farewell tour itself will not begin soon - in about a year. The exact dates have not yet been announced, as well as the cities in which Serduchka will perform. Nor does Danilko name the reasons that forced him to break up with his conductor Verka.

The mini-album included four tracks: “Swedish lullaby”, “Sexy”, “Disco kicks” and “Make it rain champagne” (was presented earlier).
Talking about his new work, Andrei Danilko noted that all four compositions are designed to give people sunshine in this dark year.
“Sexy” is our dedication to all the Eurovision fans in gratitude for their warmth and support they have given us all these years. We want everyone to dance and smile despite these crazy times. A glass of cold champagne never hurt anyone!” - he said.

The album begins with “Swedish Lullaby,” a song that glorifies Sweden, the country where Ukraine received its last Eurovision win with Jamala in 2020. The song includes a quick twist from the popular Swedish drinking game "Helan går".
“No more tears in the champagne, burn your castle out of shame, only winners in this game, hush, hush, don’t cry, sing a Swedish lullaby,” Serduchka sings.
The champagne theme continues in the sensual title track “Sexy”:
"You feel sexy, you're hot, bring the champagne, let's make it popular, we don't need haters, we were born to dance all the way from Tokyo and back to Amsterdam."
The song is based on a Middle Eastern sound - the instrumental part contains a quote from "Everyway that I Can" by Sertab Erener and "She Got Me" by Luca Hanney. In addition, it has a counting rhyme in German.
“Disco Kicks” is the most blatant comeback to the theme of tolerance. Combining disco with vintage '80s synth, the song isn't just an ode to stylish footwear—it's dedicated to all genders and allows people to walk down the street in whatever they want and move however they feel comfortable. Verka is the most famous transvestite in Eastern Europe.
“I'm cool like Al Pacino, hot like a cappuccino, I'm the queen of everything. I've got thighs like Cinderella, smooth like mozzarella, watch me do my thing."
The mix of pop and Middle Eastern sounds continues with the song directly dedicated to champagne, “Make it rain champagne.” Thematically, “champagne” personifies not only French sparkling wine, but also Verka’s invigorating spirit and her philosophy aimed at making every moment unforgettable, regardless of gender:
“You're sitting in the bathroom, you're on the train, you're waiting at the bus stop, you have to make it rain. Take the girl, take the guy, together we’ll make it rain.”
Released in December 2020, the song could have entered Eurovision. The track is under three minutes long, catchy, and provides endless possibilities for crazy production. It was also written by two Swedish songwriters: national finalist Andreas Örn and "Euphoria" co-writer Peter Boström. During an appearance on the Ukrainian TV show “Evening Premiere” with Katerina Osadchaya, Verka stated that if another “Maruvian scandal” breaks out around the final of the national final of Ukraine, “the song is basically ready” for Eurovision.
However, later Andrei Danilko stated that “Serdyuchka wanted it, but Danilko was against it.”
