To taste, you can add honey to the finished pumpkin or add sugar when placing the pumpkin in the slow cooker. If you steam or stew the pumpkin on the stove, you will have to add a little water to the pan. And simmer under the lid.

Ingredients for a pumpkin dish in a slow cooker:

  • 500 g pork;
  • 300 g pumpkin;
  • 1 onion;
  • 2 cloves of garlic;
  • 2 large tomatoes;
  • 3 potato tubers;
  • a pinch of nutmeg;
  • a pinch of ginger;
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil;
  • salt, pepper to taste.

Preparation:

Place the chopped pork in a deep bowl. Add nutmeg, salt, ginger and ground black pepper. Mix well. Leave for 30 minutes. Peel potatoes, pumpkin, garlic and onions. Chop the garlic and onion into small pieces. Cut the potatoes and pumpkin into cubes of the same size.

Place the meat in the slow cooker. Add vegetable oil. Turn on the “Baking” or “Frying” mode. Lightly fry the meat. Add onion and garlic. Stir. Continue frying for 10 minutes. Next add finely chopped tomatoes, potatoes and pumpkin. Stir. Close the lid.
