In 1987, the Guerlain brand made a revolution by releasing powder in the form of multi-colored balls with the scent of violet. The principle is simple: each color neutralizes a specific disadvantage. Pink refreshes, green hides redness, lilac brightens. Several times a year, to the delight of beauty collectors, Guerlain releases new variations of its bestseller. Many people tried to repeat the secret of “meteorites”. Vivienne Sabo is one of them. Poudre Melange is available in only two shades - pink and bronze - but the principle remains the same.
Why pay more? Inexpensive cosmetics that are no worse than luxury

Luxury cosmetics brands, as a rule, belong to the same corporations as the mass market ones. And all products are produced by the same factories. The main difference in most cases is in the design and quality of the packaging, slightly cheaper fragrances and a little in the composition. But in general, mass-market decorative and luxury cosmetics are very similar in their properties. And when there is no difference, it is stupid to pay half your salary for a tube of foundation. In this regard, I offer several budget beauty products that I use all the time, which can be a worthy replacement for expensive ones.”
Makeup bases
Let me say right away that I am a small fan of makeup base. If there are no serious problems or pronounced deficiencies with the skin, then there is no need for a base. The main thing you need to do to ensure that your foundation applies well is to properly moisturize your skin. L'Oréal Paris “Luxury of Nutrition” oil (about 550 rubles) can serve as a base It can easily replace luxury analogues. In general, MAC Cosmetics, Clinique, Manly Pro, Smashbox and many other brands have similar products. But in terms of price-quality ratio, L'Oréal Paris has the best option. This is a multifunctional product that (most importantly!) gives the effect of nourished, radiant, healthy skin. It is perfect for those with normal to dry skin. An option for using it for the lazy: mix the oil with your foundation. But personally, I prefer another method: drop a couple of drops on your palms, warm them and apply to your face with massaging movements. Fashionable “wet skin” is guaranteed to you.
Or the second option is Maybelline New York Master Prime makeup base (about 570 rubles). It provides additional hydration if your daily care is not enough, and also increases the durability of the foundation. In short, this is a decent all-rounder at a great price.
Foundations
My favorite foundations are three: Maybelline New York Superstay 24h, NYX Professional Makeup Stay Matte But Not Flat, and Lumene CC Cream. The first two are a little reminiscent of my favorite Make Up For Ever Ultra HD tone. In addition, Maybelline New York Superstay 24h (about 610 rubles) provides medium to dense coverage, ideal for those with oily or oily skin. It is very durable and perfectly covers all imperfections, but remains invisible, creating the effect of satin-matte skin. This is what the aforementioned HD resembles.
The second analogue is the NYX Professional Makeup Stay Matte But Not Flat (about 450 rubles), in my opinion, more suitable for girls with dry or dry skin. Because, despite the name, it gives a wetter effect and also varies more in terms of density. It can be applied in a thick layer, or it can be stretched to be as light as possible. It also adheres well to the skin and does not run away throughout the day. But, depending on the properties of the skin, it may begin to shine a little in the evening.
As for lovers of very light coverage and barely noticeable foundations, the coolest tone in this area (at least for me) is Lumene CC Cream (about 1,100 rubles). It costs a little more than other mass-market products, but in terms of its properties and the way it looks on the skin, it fully justifies its price. Since it’s difficult to find decent foundations with a light texture in budget brands, this CC cream looks absolutely natural on the skin - you get a fashionable makeup without makeup, but at the same time it evens out the complexion, masks imperfections, moisturizes, protects against the negative effects of sun rays and Suitable for all skin types.
Concealers
And again, one of the leading positions is occupied by the Maybelline New York Fit Me (about 330 rubles), very similar in properties and coverage to the famous Prolong from MAC Cosmetics. It applies very well, covers any redness, does not crease and lasts well. By the way, it can also be used as a foundation and applied all over the face. It has an easy to use applicator and a great price.
The second concealer you should have is Vivienne Sabo Idéal Sublimé Concealer (about 200 rubles). It is much lighter in texture and slightly illuminates the skin under the eyes. Due to its weightlessness, it is very good for daily use, plus it is perfectly layered.
A worthy replacement for an expensive palette of color correctors and highlighters is Maybelline New York Master Camo (about 750 rubles). Its most winning option is the Light shade, which suits everyone. This creamy, thick product has an oily texture (don't let that scare you off!). It doesn't get any better if you need color correction or are a contouring fan like Kim Kardashian.
The powder is a disappointment. In my opinion, the situation with it in the mass market is the most deplorable. In any case, I haven’t come across anything with a decent composition and properties.
Sculpting products
If you are a fan of contouring (although this is all the last century) and love to emphasize or draw on your cheekbones not with dry, but with cream products, then you simply cannot do without a double-sided highlighter stick NYX Professional Makeup Wonder Stick (from 680 rubles). True, the only adequate cool shade in the line is Light, and the rest are yellowish. It can be used under the tone if you are afraid to overdo it, or on top of the foundation. It is easy to apply, blends well with your fingers, and for daily use it has no competitors.
, NYX Professional Makeup High Definition mono blush in the shade Taupe (about 590 rubles) is suitable. They have a large palette of shades, so they are ideal for girls with fair skin who find it very difficult to choose the right color of sculpting blush. A more classic version of dry sculptor is also a very suitable color and with excellent properties - Estrade Mon Secret in shade No. 201 (about 200 rubles).
Eyebrow products
This is something you can easily save on, since recently more and more worthy brow products of all possible types and shades have appeared in this segment. Cool transparent eyebrow gels from Viviene Sabo Fixateur (about 200 rubles), colors with the most correct shades and a brush that gives additional volume from L'Etoile Selection (about 650 rubles). Cool pencils from Rimmel London (about 300 rubles), and the most long-lasting eyebrow lipsticks from Bourjois Brow Pomade (about 440 rubles). The main thing here is to find the shade and texture that suits you best.
Eyeshadow
Here the situation is more complicated. Shadows from the mass market in most cases are much less pigmented, fall off more and have a less interesting color palette. Therefore, you need to choose them more carefully and be sure to use a base (this will make application easier and prolong durability). In terms of texture and color, you can find good monoshadows from Estrade (about 145 rubles). In addition, successful options are often found in ready-made palettes, such as Maybelline New York The Nudes (about 600 rubles).
The situation is a little better with cream shadows. My biggest love is Bobbi Brawn cream eyeshadow, but it's luxe. The coolest ones in the mass market (hello again!) are Maybelline New York Color Tattoo, especially in beige, pink and brown shades - they can be used as a base for eye shadow. And they look cool in daytime makeup. And with dark shades you can draw arrows and use them instead of eyeliner, even on the mucous membrane. It is better to apply them with your finger; the result is a thinner and lighter layer. Color Tattoo eyeshadows last perfectly for 24 hours or more.
Oriflame The One cream shadow pencil (about 500 rubles). Brown and beige shades can be easily shaded with a finger. The only downside is that they are not very durable, but they are comfortable to carry and easy to adjust throughout the day.
Mascara
Mascara is something that should only be bought in the mass market. Because after three months, according to the operating rules, it will still have to be thrown away. The best-selling mascara is, of course, Vivienne Sabo Cabaret (about 260 rubles). Perhaps every makeup artist has it in their arsenal. The second classic option, which is also one of the best in the business, is Maybelline New York Lash Sensational (about 560 rubles).
Eyeliners and pencils
All girls love arrows, so eyeliner is one of the most necessary products in a cosmetic bag. The most accurate and beautiful lines are obtained by using a brush and gel eyeliner, which can be drawn with Maybelline New York Lasting Drama (about 625 rubles) or their kajal pencil Master Drama (about 300 rubles). By the way, this is the love of many bloggers. The pencil is indecently long-lasting, super pigmented, very soft and easy to shade.
The popular MAC Cosmetics Coffee pencil and the brown pencil from H&M (about 300 rubles) have identical properties, shades and textures.
Highlighter
This is a real must have for daily makeup. It is indispensable for creating the effect of shiny, fresh and rested skin, as well as for contouring and strobing. Highlighters can be divided into dry and cream. The first ones create a shining effect with the help of glitter in the composition (the finer the grind, the more delicate the shine). The second ones create a moist effect on the skin and look more delicate. Among budget highlighters, I like the essense Holo Wow (about 235 rubles). There are many different shades in the palette, but the coolest is pink. Looks super cool when applied with fingers over foundation. The same brand also has a cool dry highlighter for the face Go For The Glow in shade No. 1 (about 450 rubles). With its help, an unobtrusive glow appears on the face, like after Lime Crime highlighters.
Lipsticks
Due to their durability and unusual finish, matte lipsticks have revolutionized lip makeup. They are especially popular in the cold season. The main thing is not to be afraid to experiment and find the most comfortable shade for yourself. Today, the beauty industry offers a huge number of budget versions, for example, NYX Professional Makeup, Nouba and Maybelline New York (each costs about 500 rubles).
Remember that in any cosmetic product its properties are much more important, and not the packaging. In general, if desired, your daily makeup will not cost you any economic losses. And if applied correctly, even an experienced makeup artist will hardly notice the difference.
