Today, probably, every young woman can easily name many popular cosmetic companies, the difference in prices, as well as the features of the products they offer. And only not many are truly familiar with the basic rules for using cosmetics, that is, with cosmetic culture.
But only by following these rules can you avoid unpleasant consequences and not harm your loved one.
We often listen to the opinions of our friends or build our own, not always correct, point of view on the topic of using this or that remedy, thereby helping the birth of myths.
If you use several products at once, the effect will increase
This is one of the most common misconceptions. If you overload your own skin, you will soon have to go to an experienced cosmetologist-dermatologist. The fact is that each of the products contains very active and even aggressive components. And manufacturers usually add enough of them so that the code reacts normally.
But if there is an excess, then at a minimum it will lead to irritation and redness of the skin. The most active in the products are considered to be vitamin C, benzoin peroxide, which removes acne, acids - glycolic, lactic, salicylic and others to smooth the skin and remove imperfections in the form of blemishes, retinol and others. It is better to apply creams with these components in minimal quantities to the skin and problem areas.
Myth No. 1: Special balms (masks, sprays, etc.) can restore split ends
As much as we would like it, no matter what the manufacturer of your hair cosmetics claims, it is not true. Split ends cannot be cured; they can only be trimmed. You're not going to try to cure a nail that's already split, are you? It's the same here, since the structure of hair and nails is similar - in both cases they are horny formations. All products supposedly aimed at treating the problem of split ends actually only temporarily seal them, giving them a more aesthetic appearance. There can be no talk of any internal restoration here.
However, section can be prevented. Immediately after you cut the damaged ends, take care of your hair with moisturizers and oils. You can choose natural oils (for example, coconut), or you can use ready-made cosmetic complexes. The main thing is that these products moisturize, because dryness and loss of moisture are the main causes of split ends.
Myth No. 5: Cellulite and stretch marks can be removed with special cosmetics
Another sweet lie. Cellulite is, in fact, an unaesthetic manifestation of subcutaneous fatty tissue on the body. It arises mainly from poor nutrition and problems with water-salt balance. Stretch marks are a consequence of changes in body size (gain/loss of weight or muscle tissue; pregnancy and the birth of a baby can also be the cause). As for cellulite, it must be treated by eliminating the cause, that is, with proper nutrition and exercise.
Anti-cellulite cosmetics can be used as an additional product that moisturizes well (as you know, moisturized skin will look better than dry skin in any case).
You can also add a massage. But you need to use all this only in combination, and still place your main hopes on sports and nutrition. You won't get rid of cellulite if you sit on the couch and eat chips while smearing yourself with magic cream. Don't flatter yourself with empty hopes.
Stretch marks are a different kind of problem. A special cream can only lighten them, and they will actually become less noticeable. However, they will not disappear anywhere. Today, you can only get rid of stretch marks surgically, as well as with the help of a laser , which, in fact, also simply lightens, but is much more effective than cosmetics.
Eye cream is a must
In fact, the skin around the eyes is the thinnest, most sensitive and dry. It requires a completely different approach and self-care. But subjecting the skin around the eyes to intensive therapy is a mistake. You should not constantly make masks and apply a thick layer of cream. Overloading the skin will not lead to good things. It is enough to use a good quality moisturizer, preferably without fragrances.
Cosmetics can be used for several years
This is also a common myth. If a cream has been sitting on the nightstand for two years, then it is no longer able to take good care of the skin. Sooner or later, the components of cosmetics begin to lose their properties and become completely useless. Moreover, the products also become vulnerable to the penetration of bacteria and germs that can harm the skin. So you should not use such a tool. It is better to change cosmetic products before their expiration date.

COMMENT AND DISCUSS
Using lip balm can become addictive
In fact, such products are not used in cosmetics that can dry out the lips and thereby force you to constantly use balm. On the contrary, balms perfectly moisturize the skin, make it soft and protect against dryness and flaking. And the effect of lip products ends sooner or later. This is why there is a need to apply the balm again. But there is no talk of addiction. Often, when using the balm, ladies begin to lick their lips more often. And this leads to dryness. If your lips are too dry, it is better to use products that contain glycerin and mineral oils.
The result is only possible if you use products from the entire brand line
The seller can tell you anything. After all, it’s important for him to simply wait for the goods, and quickly. Nowadays the variety of cosmetics products is impressive. But one manufacturer has one product that is better, and the other has another. And using the entire line of one brand is not so important and necessary. The main thing is to choose products that your skin will like. And what brand the cosmetics are from doesn’t matter at all. And it’s best to use samples before buying a whole tube or jar of cream.
