Flawless skin: 5 face masks from affordable products

A face mask can always be purchased at a cosmetic store, but many women prefer to use home remedies.

The fact is that masks prepared independently are much cheaper and sometimes they are more effective than store-bought ones. Here is a selection of mask recipes from available products that help get rid of skin imperfections and make it flawless.

Autumn masks for dry skin

Carrot mask

Grate one large fresh carrot, add the yolk of one egg and a couple of teaspoons of starch. Mix and apply a thick layer to the face. Rinse off after 10 minutes with cool water.

The carrot mask has a calming and anti-inflammatory effect, normalizes complexion and smoothes out fine wrinkles.

Apple mask

An apple mask will help relieve dryness and remove flaking. Grate one apple on a fine grater and mix it with one tablespoon of low-fat sour cream. Apply the mixture to your face and wait 20-25 minutes. After this, remove the mask with a napkin and wash with warm water.

Cabbage mask

To prepare this mask we will need: 100 grams of cabbage and a tablespoon of heated almond oil. Finely chop the cabbage and mix with almond oil. Leave the mask on your face for 10-20 minutes, wash with cool water.

Egg and honey mask

A simple recipe will appeal most to women in adulthood. Natural ingredients nourish and moisturize the skin, making it soft, smooth and elastic. For cooking you will need the following products:

  • honey,
  • lemon,
  • yolk,
  • vegetable oil (refined).

Beat the yolk with a whisk or fork. Stirring constantly, gradually pour in 1 tbsp. vegetable oil. You should get a thick light mixture, reminiscent of mayonnaise. Add freshly squeezed lemon juice and honey and mix again.

Wash with warm water using a cleanser. Wipe your face dry. Apply the mixture, avoiding areas around the lips and eyes. Leave for a few minutes. Carefully wash off the mixture and use your favorite cream.

Autumn masks for oily skin

Egg white and baking soda mask

Oily shine does not decorate the skin of the face at all and needs to be dealt with. To eliminate oily shine, blackheads and enlarged pores, use a mask of protein and soda.

Separate the white from the yolk and mix with half a teaspoon of baking soda. Beat the mixture with a mixer. Leave the mask on your face for up to 10 minutes and rinse off with cool water.

Tomato mask

Chop a small tomato and add a glass of water. Add a couple of tablespoons of grape juice and a teaspoon of honey. Apply the mixture to the skin and rinse with chamomile decoction after 10 minutes.

Corn mask

This is an express mask that Hollywood stars use before going to important events. It gives the face a matte appearance, cleanses pores and tones.

Mix cornmeal and water in a bowl. The mixture should look like thick sour cream. Before applying such a mask, your face should be steamed over a hot chamomile decoction for 5 minutes. Then pat your face dry with a dry cloth. The corn mask is applied to the facial skin in a thick layer and kept for 15 minutes. Then wash off with warm water and lubricate your face with nourishing cream.

Honey masks

Mix 1 tablespoon of honey with 1 tablespoon of oatmeal and 2 tablespoons of milk. Apply to face for 15 minutes, rinse with warm water.

Mix 2 tablespoons of honey with 2 tablespoons of flour and 1 egg white. Apply the resulting mass onto your face using a flat brush and leave until completely dry, then rinse off first with hot and then with cold water. This procedure is contraindicated in case of dilated skin vessels.

Honey masks

1 tbsp. mix a spoonful of honey with half a tbsp. spoons of very strong tea and 1 tbsp. spoons of chopped oatmeal. Add water until you reach the required consistency and steam everything slightly. Apply the resulting warm mass to your face in a thick layer, cover with a paper napkin and a towel on top. Keep the mask on for 20 minutes.

There are many components; the number of methods for preparing the compositions cannot fit into a thick book. One important advantage that unites all the recipes listed is that they are not inferior to any salon product.

Autumn masks for combination skin

Blueberry mask

Grind a teaspoon of blueberries through a strainer and mix thoroughly with low-fat cream. You can add half a teaspoon of lemon if the mask will be used locally (T-zone). Apply to facial skin and leave for 25 minutes. After use, rinse off the mask with warm water.

Yeast mask

Dissolve a tablespoon of dry yeast in half a glass of milk. Add a teaspoon each of olive oil and liquid honey. Mix well and leave for half an hour. Apply the mixture to your face and rinse after 15-20 minutes.

Green tea mask

Green tea contains a huge amount of antioxidants that mattify, nourish and refresh the skin.

Grind a tablespoon of green tea into powder. Gently mix a teaspoon of mineral water into it. Apply the mixture to pre-cleansed facial skin in an even layer, without touching the eye area. Leave the mask on your face for up to 20 minutes and rinse with water at a comfortable temperature for you. After rinsing, apply moisturizer.

Banana mask

Ripe bananas are recommended for restoring and nourishing the upper layers of the dermis. The sweet pulp contains many valuable vitamins (A, C, B12) and minerals (potassium, magnesium). To prepare a product from exotic fruits you will need the following ingredients:

  • banana;
  • 1 tsp honey;
  • 1 tsp white clay (optional).

Peel one banana and mash with a fork. You should get a homogeneous paste. Add a teaspoon of liquid honey and mix thoroughly. If the mixture turns out to be too liquid, add a little white clay. Kaolin will make the mass denser, and it will not slide off the skin. Wash your face with warm water, pat dry with a towel. Apply the mask in an even layer. Hold for 10 minutes. Remove the remaining mixture with a napkin. Then rinse the skin with warm water. You can wipe your face with chilled toner.

Autumn masks for normal skin

Persimmon will protect you from the cold, nourish you with vitamins and give your skin a healthy glow.

For the mask we will need: 20% sour cream and a little persimmon pulp. Mash the persimmon with a fork and mix thoroughly with sour cream. For ease of mixing, you can use a mixer. Apply the prepared pulp to the skin of the face, wait 15 minutes and wash off with weak green tea or chamomile decoction.

  • If any component of a homemade autumn mask causes you an allergic reaction, choose another equally effective recipe.

Homemade anti-wrinkle masks

The habit of frowning or curling your lips into a tube, stress, exposure to ultraviolet rays and climatic conditions, dehydration of the skin due to the heating season and poor nutrition lead to a loss of its elasticity and firmness. With age, cell regeneration slows down and wrinkles appear. The best assistant in the fight against them is potato starch!

Homemade anti-wrinkle mask made from potato starch

Action: nourishes, improves complexion, saturates with oxygen, normalizes the functioning of the glands, tightens the skin, restores firmness and elasticity, relieves swelling and smoothes out wrinkles.

You will need:

  1. 1 teaspoon potato starch;
  2. 1 tablespoon sour cream;
  3. 3 tablespoons freshly squeezed carrot juice (Don't have carrots on hand? Use aloe juice or honey!)

If you have dry skin, add 1 teaspoon melted butter.

Preparation:

  1. Dissolve the starch in 50 ml of water and pour the mixture into the pan;
  2. Cook the mixture over low heat until thickened;
  3. Stir sour cream and carrot juice into pan;
  4. Cool;
  5. Apply a thin layer to your face for 20-25 minutes;
  6. Rinse off the mask with warm water.

A starch face mask is also suitable for young girls; it gives the face an even tone, moisturizes the skin, restores radiance and hides signs of fatigue.

A few important points:

  1. Do not apply the mask if there are wounds or inflamed pimples on your face.
  2. Potato starch can be replaced with corn or rice starch. Corn starch is better suited for young skin, it will eliminate oily shine and reduce the number of pimples, while rice starch has a delicate texture and helps fight pigmentation.
  3. Leftover face masks can be stored in the refrigerator, but no more than 3 days, otherwise the beneficial properties will be lost.
  4. Apply the mask to cleansed and steamed skin, or better yet, do a facial massage before the “rejuvenating procedure” - this will increase the effectiveness of the mask.

If you are aiming for an effect, take a course of face masks - apply them every other day for 3 weeks, and you will be surprised how your reflection in the mirror will change!

Anti-wrinkle face mask for young skin

I wanted to make sure that anti-wrinkle masks really worked, so I suggested that my mother take a course. She applied the masks to her face every other day for two weeks, and was very pleased with the result! Mom had no allergies or irritations, and her skin was greatly transformed: the nasolabial folds became less pronounced, her face became smoother and fresher. And how wonderful it was to cut bananas together and prepare for a beauty procedure! We became even closer and found a new common interest.

Homemade masks for acne and blackheads

The appearance of pimples and blackheads is associated with an increase in sebum secretion. Perhaps this is due to disruption of the gastrointestinal tract or hormonal changes. An important factor is the quality of food. Of course, you want chips and cola, but you want beautiful skin more. Do you agree?

Introduce vegetables and fruits into your diet, say “no” to flour, sweets, fast food and alcohol. In just two days you will feel a surge of strength and lightness in your body, your sleep will become stronger and better quality, and in a week all toxins and harmful substances will leave the body and your skin will become cleaner. As a nice bonus, you will lose weight.

Clay mask for acne and blackheads

Clay is a natural material rich in minerals and nutrients. Masks made from it are suitable for any skin type. The clay is hypoallergenic and, moreover, inexpensive. In winter, a clay mask can be diluted with sour cream or yogurt. This way you will not dry out your skin, but will nourish it.

Action: tightens pores, cleanses, dries, removes excess fat from the skin, nourishes, evens out complexion, smoothes fine wrinkles, eliminates inflammation, stimulates skin renewal.

You will need:

  1. 1 tablespoon of cosmetic clay;
  2. 1 tablespoon starch;
  3. milk.

Cooking method:

  1. Mix clay with starch;
  2. Add milk to the mixture to bring the mixture to the consistency of thick sour cream;
  3. Apply to cleansed face for 10-15 minutes;
  4. Rinse off with cool water.

Mask with activated carbon for acne and blackheads

Apply a black mask 1-2 times a week.

Ingredients:

  1. 2 tablets of activated carbon;
  2. 1 teaspoon gelatin;
  3. 1 teaspoon milk;

Cooking method:

  1. Crush the activated carbon into powder;
  2. Mix charcoal with gelatin;
  3. Add milk to the mixture;
  4. Dissolve the gelatin by placing the mixture in the microwave for 20 minutes or in a water bath;
  5. Apply the mask to the T-zone for 30 minutes;
  6. Remove the film with a quick movement.

Important: do not apply the mask to your eyebrows. You don't want to be left without them, do you?

I regularly applied this mask for two weeks. Inflammation decreased, the skin looked renewed, fresh and velvety. The film is removed completely painlessly, and preparing the mask is as easy as shelling pears!

Mask for oily skin with salicylic acid
