The results of a new study are expected to lead to the end of the age-old debate regarding the size of a man's “dignity”. Thus, the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS) published the results of such a widely discussed topic, which is that women prefer men with large penises, because this, accordingly, determines their significant sexual attractiveness.
The study in question was conducted by the Australian National University. In particular, it showed that the taller a man, the larger his penis size, the more sexually attractive he is. A team of researchers showed 105 participants life-size computer-generated figures of people in which body shape, height and penis size were varied accordingly. Based on these data, women assessed the sexual attractiveness of the figures. Professor Michael Jennions, from the ANU School of Biological Studies, explained:
“This is a topic that has captured the imagination of masses of people around the world, and for quite a long time. Even after observing the layouts of newspapers and magazines at the nearest kiosk, sooner or later you will come across an article with a headline that, in one context or another, will mean one thing: is size important? We decided to answer this, without exaggeration, a popular question in debate, but with a purely scientific approach to it.”
Thus, studies have shown that women predominantly prefer tall men, with narrow hips and broad shoulders (V-shaped figure, not pear-shaped), as indicated by previous studies regarding women's preferences in the figure of men. Meanwhile, the current study points to some additions to past findings regarding, as you've probably realized, penis size. This may not come as a surprise, but in a certain sense the axiom remains an axiom: the more, the better.
"We found that penis size actually influences a person's sexual attractiveness, and is just as important as height, which is a well-known determinant of male attractiveness." The study, in addition, notes that a large penis “combines” ideally with tall men - in combination, this makes them more attractive to women than if we were talking about a short person with a large penis. “Roughly speaking, if you are short and have a pear-shaped figure, then having a large penis will not make you attractive.”
It is noteworthy that women are generally quick in their judgments. Thus, they make a decision regarding the attractiveness of a figure in three seconds and even faster if there is a less attractive figure in front of them. The speed of decision-making indicates that women unconsciously work out the pros and cons of each of the body options, which allows them to simultaneously make a decision regarding overall attractiveness, and not just the individual body shape.
“In our previous study on this topic, its participants were offered five options for drawings with male figures, the difference of which was only in the length of the penis. It is clear what exactly the participants were asked to evaluate in this situation, but in this case, self-deception of the participants, lies on their part, or distortion of the results due to incorrect perception could not be ruled out.” The uniqueness of the current solution, reproduced in 3D format, lies in the greater realism of the situation than in the case of a drawing on paper. Researchers are confident not only that this topic itself is funny to the general public, but also that it is also a fairly serious issue from a scientific point of view.
Thus, Professor Jennions made the following conclusion: “Men have a thicker and larger penis than other primates. It has been suggested that before people wore clothes, women used penis size as a determining factor in choosing a partner, but there has been very little evidence to support this until now. Our results make it clear that women make a choice in favor of men with large penises due to past beliefs regarding the choice of a partner, which at that time implied not only his sexual attractiveness, but also strength, which, accordingly, echoes the ability to provide for a family and offspring "
