Long hair care
Hair care involves solving problems such as split ends and combined hair structure. Solving the first problem is not difficult: split ends are simply cut off.
The problem of the combined structure requires a more careful approach. Its essence is that the sebum secreted by the scalp is not enough to moisturize the entire length of the hair - so we have oily hair at the roots and dry hair at the ends. It is for this reason that long hair care includes products that simultaneously combat oily roots and dry ends.
Long hair care also includes special nourishing masks that are applied directly to the dry ends of the hair. Olive, burdock and almond oils are perfect for such purposes.
Masks based on these oils can be used 3-4 times a week. The result will be more hydrated and smoother hair ends. In general, traditional medicine treatment is very effective not only for solving problems with split ends, but also for improving the overall condition of hair.
Caring for long hair is also about caring for its appearance. Often, long hair becomes dull and loses its natural shine due to frequent combing and tangling. To eliminate this problem, after each wash, rinse your hair with an infusion of nettle, chamomile and sage.
Long hair is more susceptible to damage than others, so you need to treat it with special care. Wash your long hair no more than once or twice a week in warm water.
Use shampoo not concentrated, but slightly diluted in water. To dye long hair, it is better to use natural dyes: henna, basma or onion skins. Highlighting and perm are simply contraindicated for long hair.
Long damaged hair is very difficult to restore, so it is better to take care of it than to try to cure it later.
Let your locks be healthy and silky, regardless of length and generally accepted beauty parameters! Take correct measurements of your hair length at home and feel free to go to the salon for cosmetic procedures!
Prof VS Mass. About painful issues
1) All my life I’ve worn long hair (up to the shoulder blades and below), and although I really like it with short ones (and received a lot of compliments after the haircut), I recently realized that the length up to the shoulder blades and below suits me better.
2) Taking into account a more or less independent age (when I could influence the length of my hair): maximum to the lower back, minimum - bob above the shoulders)
3) Of course, we don’t often see grannies with braids, but, in my opinion, this is due precisely to the change - and not for the better - in the quality of new hair due to the gradual wear and tear of the body. And so - if you are lucky with genetics and a person cares about his condition - why not? Another thing is that older women and grannies look… inappropriate with loose hair, but no one has canceled their hairstyles (remember Princess Leia)!
4) I like the current length. And taking into account the reasons for which I had my haircut, I don’t regret anything, but, of course, everything is as usual and probably for everyone: long ones - I want to cut them, short ones - I want to grow them. While I'm growing)
Length is my sore subject))
1) Anything below the shoulders is my length, and the more it is, the better. I didn’t have waist-length hair when I was a conscious age, but I think this length will suit me)
2) Minimum - at the level of the earlobes, maximum - 10-15 cm above the waist.
3) There is a certain connection. After 50, I would prefer to have a length around the shoulder blades, no more, and after 70, I am very impressed by Carmen Dell'Orefice's hairstyle:
4) No, I’m not satisfied, I want the length to the waist, at least when straightened. On the way to this))
1) Not less than 70cm. In short, it’s as if a body part is missing))
3) I don’t see the connection at all. I don’t understand what kind of fashion it is for older people to have their hair cut short. Perhaps over the years people think that they can’t be beautiful anymore, it’s hard to take care of their hair... I really like long hair on older people, especially completely gray hair, if well-groomed then wow In teenagers just like with middle-aged people, I didn’t notice any difference in length, it’s just a matter of taste.
4) Now my length is almost 50cm and for me it is very short. After cutting my hair from about 70 to 40 cm, I will never go back to such short ones. I’m growing and hoping to grow it longer than 75cm, maybe I can even get along with a meter.
1. Now I understand that long hair is just my thing. I like it and it suits me) so I want 85-90 cm, no less. The main thing is to maintain quality. After all, long hair is not the same as beautiful, the main thing is care)
2. Nibbled bob and now - 55 cm.
4. Satisfied, but I want more. Maybe even a meter
1. From the square to the shoulders and below, below))
2. The minimum is just up to the shoulders - I had to cut off the consequences of chemo. It suited me, but I still strived for the usual length to the waist. Maximum - up to the tailbone.
3. Of course, there is a connection. With age, hair becomes thinner, and with the appearance of abundant gray hair comes the need for chemical dyes, which further worsens its condition. Many people, by the age of 30, become too lazy to take care of long hair (maybe children get in the way, maybe personal life arrangements), let alone 50 and older. But! Someone looks like an aunt at 30, and someone remains an interesting woman at 60. I have examples before my eyes. So, girls, it’s up to us how we will look as we age, what kind of figure we will have, how we will dress and what length of hair will please us and those around us.
4. I’m happy with the current length, it usually reaches the waist, I would like a tighter cut.

girls, at my work I have an ideal example of how I will strive to look in old age. A woman, I can’t dare to call her a granny, my client, she is 68-70 years old. She has a soft lavender blonde, not flashy, but just barely a shade, even. She either braids an inverted spikelet on its side (most often), or a high ponytail like a Chignon (or whatever it’s called), and a variety of other hairstyles. Long hair. But she herself is super stylish, dressed very modernly, the colors are monochromatic, often light and refreshing. Light perfect makeup, cool beautiful glasses, and a little pumped up lips, very slightly, just to smooth out wrinkles above the upper lip. Tall, thin.
In general, when I look at her, I get aesthetic ecstasy. Her image often pops up in my head when I imagine myself at an older age.
1. There are no restrictions, they will be up to the floor, I don’t mind -) For example, like this:
3. With age, hair certainly changes, becomes thinner, thinner, turns grey... But you can look very dignified with long gray hair, there are beautiful hairstyles for older ladies too. For the first hairstyle, by the way, I don’t even need to do anything (I’m talking about the shape) - my eternal frieze usually looks like this. And I learned how to braid a circular braid on myself without a mirror, its advantage is that you don’t have to braid it for a couple of days, it looks quite decent. As a child, my mother braided it for me every 3-4 days from one hair wash to the next.
4. I like my length, but if it’s even longer I’ll be happy.
1. Just my length two years ago. After the haircuts I was convinced that this was ideal
