The world of rich men: hobbies and interests
In order to please a wealthy millionaire or billionaire with a gift, it is worth figuring out what he is interested in. The world of business and politics is most often a job, outside of which everyone does what they love. For example, a man appreciates and perhaps collects rare cars. Undoubtedly, the best gift for a millionaire would be a collectible Porsche 912 model, the restoration of which was carried out by hand over three years. This car is the only one of its kind with 24-karat gold trim and can become an excellent gift worth a million, or more precisely 3.9 million rubles.
- If a rich man spends a lot of time in mind games, you need to pay attention to. Agree that the amazing “Water and Earth” chess set, made from the rarest materials and decorated with gold and precious stones, will not only fit perfectly into the interior of the office, but will also give the VIP person many pleasant hours spent playing his favorite game. This is truly a million dollar gift!
- Wealthy people are most often workaholics who are difficult to tear out of the work environment. For such men, exquisite and unique smartphones and laptops, studded with precious stones and made in a unique style, will be wonderful gifts. Vivid examples of such gifts will be the Apple iMac Gold & Stone, as well as symbols of power. Men who are passionate about modern technology will be shocked to receive a MacBook Air Special Edition or an iPhone. Even at first glance, it is easy to understand that these are not only technological miracles that can significantly make the life of their owner easier. The mentioned VIP souvenirs are distinguished by their original author's design, as well as the use of precious and semi-precious stones in their production. Autographs of famous artists, actors, singers, athletes, and even gangsters will be a wonderful present for film and music lovers. This originally designed premium class souvenir will fit perfectly into the interior of both your home and office and will be an excellent addition to your collection of music CDs, records or films.
- Collectible and designer porcelain. We specially combined two materials, because... Ultimately, you may be led to believe that a man likes to drink very much in large mugs. Or he collects coasters or collects figurines. There was a case in our practice: a man bought designer dishes, and another was given scorpions in a variety of guises, from gold to carved from mammoth ivory.
- Personalized icons and religious symbols. Returning to the personalized icon, you can buy an image of the saint in the form of a jewelry fold or for your desktop. You should give carefully and understand whether the man adheres to one of the faiths. But besides icons, there are some philosophical symbols that are understandable to everyone, for example: the Tree of Life or the Sea. An image of an Archangel or Guardian Angel would also be an excellent and very solid gift. There are 3 archangels available only for November 2020: Salafiel, Uriel and Raphael, prices are 4.6 to 4.8 million rubles. It took 4 months of manual labor to create the clothes alone.
- In the Baroque style For more than 10 years, our company has been one of the leading manufacturers of jewelry gifts in Orthodox themes, as well as a repeated participant and winner of International exhibitions. Today, our production focuses mainly on products using the technique of relief wood carving - bas-relief (historical scenes, paintings, carved mantel and wall clocks, icons, crosses and much more). The estimated cost of products is from 30,000 to 1.5 million rubles. Made in openwork, many tiered carvings, and Baroque techniques. These are true masterpieces, time-tested birthday gifts for men who have everything.
- Symbols of money and power. Yes, the energy of money is its element, so you can emphasize this with an appropriate gift. For example, very powerful bronze figures of the Fangs of Business or the Golden Taurus. Characteristic for both jobs: these are bulls and bears (stock exchange terminology), ups and downs, perseverance in achieving the goal. Prices from 500 to 900 thousand rubles.
Today's variety of elite gifts is impressive: collector's editions, unique autographs, the latest innovations in the world of computer and mobile technologies, souvenirs decorated with precious stones and much more. By contacting our VIP gift store, you will definitely choose something that will sincerely please every male representative. It should be noted that the cost of this kind of gifts is quite logical, because uniqueness, originality and unusualness are the main characteristics of the gifts presented on the site.
Buy modern rarities
A good watch, cutlery, cufflinks - this is what to give to a man for his birthday who has everything. Every rich man with a position in society demands a certain attitude from the people around him. This rule also applies to gifts. Gifts worth a million are rare, unique items that are not only pleasant to receive, but also to give as a gift, because this always speaks of a person’s wealth and high rank.
Putin made the oligarchs laugh with the new personal income tax rate
Alexander Zhelenin Journalist, Rosbalt news agency
Vladimir Putin’s speech two days before the start of such an important vote on amendments to the Constitution once again showed that he always has trump cards up his sleeve for every taste. Do you want money? Here are the new and old manuals. Social justice? Have you been talking about a progressive income tax for a long time? No question, get it! Now the rich will start dancing - we are raising personal income tax for those who receive 5 million rubles a year and above from 13% to (no joke!) 15%. In general, “Eat pineapples, chew hazel grouse, your last day comes bourgeois”...
Few doubted that Putin would promise to shower his fellow citizens with a new portion of child benefits. It’s always been like this before elections - they’ll throw something at the people. Of course, for families in which one or both parents have lost their jobs (and, according to Rosstat, there are now 4.5 million people in the country, and this is not counting those whose salaries have been greatly reduced), a monthly allowance of 5 thousand rubles for a child under three years old and for children from three to seven years old for families with incomes below the subsistence level will not make a difference. As well as a one-time payment of 10 thousand rubles for children under 16 years of age. However, “it’s not a big deal, but it’s nice.”
As for the increase in income tax, on the one hand, it was indeed somewhat unexpected, and on the other, if you think about it, it was laughter through tears...
As you know, there are no oligarchs in Russia. Well, there are a hundred dollar billionaires, but these, of course, are not oligarchs... And then I visually imagined the scene of the preparation of a “landmark” decision to increase the personal income tax rate by as much as 2% for rich and very rich Russians.

The core of patriotism has cracked in Russia
...Vladimir Vladimirovich holds a meeting in a narrow circle of close “neoligarchs”. Announces the need to increase income tax from 13% to 15%. “What?!” one or several of them involuntarily burst out. “I realize this is not easy for you,” says the president, “but I think you will understand this decision, because this is for sick children, not for the sake of self-interest.” He looks into the eyes of his comrades, but does not detect much delight in them. “No, but how can we live?” our neo-oligarch friends persist.
“I know that this is really not easy, this has yet to be realized. But we will figure out something to compensate you for the “lost income” so that they... don’t fall out. Let's reduce some other tax by the same 2%. Well, you never know what else. We’ll come up with something…” says Putin. “Oh, well, that’s a different matter,” the worried moneybags sigh with relief.
Now let’s move on from the imaginary scene to harsh reality. Russia's transition to progressive taxation (if it really took place) could indeed be a step towards a more equitable society. However, the devil, as we know, is in the details. In the 1990s, we had some semblance of progressive taxation, but it was so complex and confusing that effectively “administering” it was almost impossible.
But, firstly, who made personal income tax so confusing? And secondly, who at that time followed any laws at all? It was the new Russian state that turned a blind eye to tax evasion. So he should make all the claims about this to himself...

Anatomy of rumors: request for dispossession of elites
In 2001, Putin introduced a flat (for everyone) 13 percent income tax rate. Until now, including in his address to the people on June 23, he takes credit for the fact that “after the introduction of a flat personal income tax scale, tax collection increased.” It still wouldn’t increase! If before this you received something around zero, then an increase in fees by at least some positive value is always an increase, who would argue.
I don't want to be misunderstood. I am generally against taxes, if anything. I think that in the beautiful distance they will not exist at all.
But while we live in a society divided into billionaires, beggars and the vast majority of those who can barely make ends meet, the first must share with the second and third. Accordingly, income tax must be strictly differentiated. The rich became rich by pumping money one way or another not out of thin air, but out of society, and therefore are obliged to share with it.
Let's see how things stand with this in most developed countries.
In the US, the federal income tax rate ranges from 10% to 39.6%.
In Canada from 15% to 50%. In France from 5.5% to 75%. In Norway from 9.5% to 39%. The maximum rate for the largest fortunes in Sweden is 57%, in Denmark 55.6%, in Belgium 50%, in Portugal 48%, in Spain 45%.
168980
Putin has been challenged, but this is not an ultimatum yet
Of course, in Europe there are Lithuania and Hungary, where the income tax rate is 15%, and Romania (16%), but for developed social states today this is the exception rather than the rule.
Naturally, in different countries, there are different deductions that allow you to reduce your income tax rate. For example, if you are paying off a mortgage or supporting dependents.
Let us also note that almost all of these countries have a minimum income tax. In the USA, for example, at the federal level it ranges from 9 to 18 thousand dollars per year (depending on age, marital status and other factors). In other words, this is not just a progressive, but a differentiated tax.
Meanwhile, in such a “fairly” structured post-socialist state as modern Russia, as is known, there is no non-taxable minimum. Both the billionaire and the cleaning lady who receives 12 thousand rubles a month have 13% of their earnings taken into the treasury. Now, however, as the president promised us, millionaires and billionaires will be tightened up to 15%. However, it is obvious that it is much more difficult for a person receiving 12 thousand rubles to pay 13% (approximately 1500 rubles) of income from it than for someone who, say, from 120 million rubles a year transfers 15% (18 million rubles) to personal income tax. At the same time, they have slightly different problems - the children of a cleaning lady have thin soup, and the children of a millionaire have chalk pearls.
To summarize what has been said, the increase in income tax on wealthy and wealthy citizens by two percent, which Putin made the Russian people happy with the other day, does not even amount to pre-election PR. This is ridiculous.

Mont Blanc for the oligarch
Share:
The deal took a long time to come together, and negotiations dragged on for several months. First, the terms of the contract were discussed, and the seller insisted on linking the price to the shekel exchange rate, and the client demanded that payment be made exclusively in dollars. Then the seller’s lawyer and I came up with a floating formula for linking the exchange rate and spent a long time agreeing on it with our clients. At this stage, my client came to Israel and, at the signing, demanded to change the construction documentation and combine the windows into panoramic ones, which forced the seller to stand on his hind legs, and the parties went home without signing the contract and completely undermining personal relationships. The client left for Moscow, announcing that there was nothing to wait for him in Israel in the next three months.
With the seller's lawyer named Itamar, we exchanged the edited draft of the contract for the sixth time and among ourselves had already decided that there would be no deal, spelling out the amounts of the fee that we would not receive as a percentage of the eight-figure deal. Out of grief, Itamar and I agreed to go have a drink at a night bar, each in our own city. True, I was cunning and didn’t make it to the bar, but I deflowered the sealed bottle of Courvoisier that was waiting for special guests at home and almost halved it.
This was on Wednesday evening, and on Thursday at noon, Olesya, the client’s secretary, called me on my mobile and, without any prelude, said that I was expected in Moscow to sign the deal tomorrow, and they had already bought me a ticket for a flight that would leave at five morning. Taken aback by the call, I didn’t even have time to object that only in the army they announced my mandatory presence to me, without asking if I could be there, but at the other end of the line Olesya had already hung up.

At three in the morning at Ben Gurion airport we met a rather strange company - a ruffled seller, still shocked by his own agreement to sign an agreement “on the field” of the buyer, the seller’s lawyer Itamar, noticeably cheerful from the realized opportunity to still receive a fee for the transaction and looking forward to the subsequent night game poker in a Moscow casino (six months before the ban) and me, half asleep and with a new troll suitcase on wheels, bought at exorbitant prices especially for my very first business trip, so as not to be embarrassed by the shabby and old disgrace that once served for family trips.
We flew, naturally, in business class, which also became a new experience for me, but apparently I was not given the opportunity to maximize this experience - I fell asleep like the dead even before the plane’s landing gear had time to leave the ground, and only woke up, when it was announced that the plane was descending, approaching the arrival airport.
I haven’t been to Moscow for more than twenty years since the late eighties, but even despite the morning grayness and fog, the city again surprised me with the scope of its wide avenues with cars, buses and trucks jostling among themselves. Our escort of two black tinted Mercedes - in the first the seller, and in the second Itamar and I - drove around Moscow in a military style, in front of the rear car to the back of the front one, maintaining a constant distance of several meters, completely not recognizing the rules, reminiscent of an icebreaker cutting through ice floes and pushing overtaken cars to the side of the road, which obediently pulled off, forgetting about the horn on the steering wheel. But even with such a ride, we soon got up for a long time and arrived at the hotel only at one o’clock in the afternoon.
The signing of the contract was scheduled by the buyer for three. In the client’s office, at the top of a fifteen-story tower overlooking the white stone one, we again argued until five o’clock about how best to change the construction documentation, and then, to the irritation of both clients, we spent a long time setting up the computer, which was accustomed to the Cyrillic alphabet and completely refused to print the contract in Hebrew, stubbornly spitting out sheets of jibrish, despite the IT specialists who came running and tried in vain to show their skill. The agreement in Word appeared in reverse, sometimes with hieroglyphs, sometimes from left to right. As a result, to rectify the situation, I had to call a hired lawyer to the Israeli office, who printed out the contract on his own computer and sent me a scan by email in a format that was readable even by a computer accustomed to speaking Chinese. While we were waiting for this procedure to be completed - it took the lawyer about fifty minutes to arrive at the office, leaving his family to the mercy of the Shabbat evening - we went to have lunch at a Chinese restaurant.
The two oligarchs signed the agreement, very tired after spending time together. When we put a thick package of documents in front of them with a request to sign on each page, it suddenly turned out that there was no pen in the office and, warning the distressed “not fate” from any of those present, ready to send everyone and everything to different geographically distant regions of the globe , in honor of the solemn moment, I had to fish out my Mont Blanc with a stone from my briefcase. The signing did take place, but in bitter silence, since no one wanted to celebrate the moment - having signed an autograph on the last page, my client retreated to further matters, citing a disrupted schedule, and the remaining characters, including the narrator, went to their rooms to get some sleep. The return flight to Israel was scheduled for the next day at six in the evening, and before departure, the buyer, no stranger to hospitality, nevertheless invited everyone to have dinner at his home in Rublyovka.

From a young age, my parents drilled into my head that you shouldn’t come to visit empty-handed. My parents were simple Soviet teachers, the kind that are no longer produced - they disdained bribes, lived accordingly, in a proletarian intelligent way, and never told me what they filled their hands with when visiting the oligarch’s house.
Unlike me, the seller with a loser of a thousand bucks in a casino and an upset Itamar bought a bouquet of withered flowers somewhere for fifty dollars. Israelis are as simple as three pennies - they can easily come to anyone's house without a gift, and this bouquet was simply the peak of generosity on their part. To my horror, I approached the house without a gift at all.
The idea of giving the oligarch my beloved Mont Blanc suddenly came to me while I was listening to Itamar’s monotonous toast in honor of the owners of the house. I decided that the big man would properly appreciate my gift, and it would come back to me a hundredfold. I waited another thirty minutes, choosing the right moment in anticipation of the proper image that would certainly follow in the foreseeable future, and then solemnly handed over the pen with which the contract was signed to the host of the celebration, rightly earning a moment of glory from those present.
*** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** ***
That same day, at the airport duty free, I bought myself a new Mont Blanc as a replacement. I never received any gratitude for the original gift from my client - as it turned out, that moment of glory when presenting the gift was my only reward. When you come to an oligarch, if you don’t give a watch for fifty thousand bucks or a Rolls Royce, your gift will most likely end up in the closet and will lie there until better times. Then this gift will most likely be given to the servants. By the way, my pen was given to the driver. There will always be good people in the world who will gladly bring such news to you.
The best birthday gift for a man
Here are the top 5 things not to give to men:
- Socks;
- Shaving foam;
- Cologne;
- Alcohol;
- Fishing/hunting set.
The most creative gifts for husband/boyfriend
- Model assembly kit;
- Puzzle;
- Backgammon, chess, beautiful playing cards;
- A gift according to his zodiac sign with a functional element;
- Miniature historical miniature weapons.
An unusual birthday gift for a rich man
As a rule, we mean not expensive gifts, let’s take it creatively, so to speak. Here are some of the most popular and worthy gifts. Let’s agree that it’s not expensive, up to 10 thousand rubles. And here's what we can give:
- Candlestick Zodiac Sign made of bronze on a coil;
- Porcelain ritual glasses;
- Document cover with double-headed eagle made of 925 sterling silver;
- Print in the shape of a lion's or bear's head;
- A handwritten verse by a famous author (here, however, the budget starts from 30 thousand rubles).
A gift for a rich person's birthday, wedding or anniversary must be truly worthy and match the luxurious reception given by the hero of the occasion. However, not everyone has the money to please the oligarch with an expensive and necessary thing. If shopping for several thousand dollars is not in your plans, try to approach the choice of a gift with humor, surprise and make the birthday person laugh. Such a fun present could be a plan to take over the world - a map on which you can mark countries already visited, an Oscar statuette for best actor, a desktop punching bag - after all, your friend probably has to experience stress at work!
Such funny little things will not require much expenditure from you, but will cheer up the birthday boy
A gift to help make your dreams come true
Despite the fact that the hero of the occasion earns good money, he probably still has some desires that he hopes to realize someday in the future. And you can help him with this and cheer him up with your gift. Present a wealthy man with a bottle of gin with the words that if you rub it, a powerful spirit will surely appear and grant your wish. Well, if it doesn’t appear, the contents of the bottle can be used for their intended purpose. A good gift for a friend would be an aquarium with a goldfish, which, according to the fairy tale, should also fulfill the dreams of its owner.
However, before making such a gift, you should make sure that the recipient will not be against the new pet
Stylish gift
You can give a wealthy friend a small stylish accessory. For a music lover, this may be a retro player; a lover of good wine will certainly be pleased with the elegant stand for the bottle. For a boss or a not-so-close acquaintance whose tastes you don’t know, cufflinks with inserts of precious stones or a beautiful tie from a luxury brand are suitable gifts.
Gift for husband
It is difficult for a woman whose husband earns good money to surprise her husband with anything. He will not be pleased with a brand new gadget or a weekend trip to Europe - he can buy all this for himself. The best gift for him would be your attention and recognition of his merits. Spend the whole day with your spouse, cook him his favorite dish for breakfast, make a funny diploma with your own hand, praising the man as a wonderful husband and skillful lover. During the day, do something that gives you both pleasure: go horseback riding, ride a go-kart, or decide to fly over the city in a hot air balloon. To top it off, give your spouse a truly passionate night.
Do you know an oligarch? Probably, there is, since you looked here! ...or just out of curiosity?
For me, this is the same as being friends with the CEO, and this is completely unrealistic! But if you are making friends, let’s start choosing a gift! Why not? Oligarchs are people too!
What do rich people usually get as gifts? Handmade silk carpets, palace furniture, strangely shaped lamps, paintings, jewelry, antiques...
What could you give to the oligarch - a question that makes the brain really boil! After all, you want to surprise and give something that no one else will give! We will abandon standard figurines, stationery, massage chairs, mobile and other standard solutions. Let's think about what your oligarch doesn't have.
Does he have the joys of life that are typical for us – ordinary people? Calmness, love of life, enjoyment of the beauty of the world around us, laughter, smiles, tomfoolery, the joy of easy communication? If there is, then in small quantities, because there is always no time for it, no mood... what can I say, we ourselves often have no time for it!
So now think about what gift would be appropriate!
In general, you can give anything - the main thing is with humor and without any meaning, for example, a brick. Yes, brick! Wrap it in a beautiful piece of paper, attach a bow and an inscription like: “Better in your hands than on your head” or come up with your own! Feel free to present a large and thick nail on a gilded dish with a lid! If you want - gold or some kind of souvenir, beautiful and put a note: “forget about everything!” Or a sewer cover with the inscription: “coin for luck!”
As you can see, the main thing here is the inscription, otherwise you never know a person will be offended, God forbid he even suspects bad intent.
For those who like to have a glass, give them a moonshine still! Let him try our bread mash! :)
Many people are into collecting - find out what your rich person collects! For example, cars! Then a good gift would be not just a radio-controlled car, but a copy of an antique car with a steam engine! Do you remember when the teacher told you about huge steam trains at school? Imagine that technology has gone so far as to reduce such a train to miniature size! Of course, the model can move and, if desired, you can attach radio control.
Many rich people like to organize radio-controlled car competitions with friends or business colleagues! Give an SUV that refuels with real fuel and accelerates just like a real car! And then divide the winnings from the “race”.
And if you don’t mind the money, buy a collectible locomotive! A steam engine during operation creates a very realistic picture and it is difficult to distinguish a steam locomotive from a real one, if not for its size! This gift looks very beautiful and worthy! You will undoubtedly please the male oligarch!
It is better to give a woman something more sublime, beautiful and romantic! The best gift is a butterfly fireworks! Butterflies, flying out of a gift box, shock and fascinate! You will not only surprise with such a gift, but will strike you in the heart!
Absolutely all girls love flowers! And to make you a little more happy, order flowers with an inscription! Each petal will contain your wishes and compliments. The larger the bouquet, the more compliments and the brighter the girl’s eyes will shine!
Go to a flea market or Hand Made exhibition (exclusive handmade goods). You will definitely find something unusual there! I would like to draw your special attention to Hand Made: you can find everything here: clothes for your beloved lady oligarch dog, carnival costumes for a fun party, charming toys for your baby... No one will remain indifferent to the works of the masters! But, go ahead and do something with your own hands! Or finally learn the poem.
Try to take away your oligarch’s mobile phone and take your friend to nature, skiing or fishing. You can do it with friends - it will be even more fun. He won't forget this gift for a long time!
And if the oligarch is a very good friend of yours, give him a real heaven on earth. Where does unearthly peace and quiet reign? Where its owner, like Pithecanthropus in prehistoric times, can merge with nature into a single whole? Where only the blessed and pacifying music of the sea surf sounds, and evergreen tropical plants delight the eye?.. Give the gift of an island! Not all of Mother Earth was sold out - there are still islands left for your friend.
More? Let's do some more.
Give a Bible! If you want - in gold-plated and diamond design. Useful book. However, no one has long doubted that a book is the best gift. You can give not the newest book, published specifically for VIPs in a limited edition, but the oldest one. Like this? Here's how: ask your friend's mother or sister what book they read to him as a child, in the evening after kindergarten before bed. Find this bibliographic rarity at a second-hand bookseller and give him a memory of his childhood.
Give something with the symbol of money - they say it brings good luck. For example, order a gold-plated hundred dollar bill and a story for the wall in his office! You can even give a horse, as long as you have somewhere to put it! :) Also think about how best to package and present the gift. A popular option these days is “treasure hunting.” Put the gift in a secluded place and draw a card! Let him take a little break and be a child!
Or place gifts throughout the house in visible places: in the bathroom, in the office, in the refrigerator, etc. and don't talk about their existence. And so, step by step, he will find your surprises!
In general, find out in more detail what your oligarch is interested in and donate boldly - I think you won’t go wrong! But remember - the best gift is a sincere smile and the shoulder of a true friend.
You still think that a children's toy for a couple of hundred bucks is a very expensive gift for a child, then look at what the oligarchs give their children.
Toys, including living ones, are valued by rich children at tens of thousands of dollars, sometimes hundreds and even millions.
Children's electric car from Ferrari
Ferrari has released an electric car model for children. This car has independent wheel suspension in the front and torsion bar in the rear, a three-speed gearbox, leather interior, etc. The car was put up for auction in March of this year with an estimated value of 20-25 thousand dollars.
Gifts for Blue Ivy
The little daughter of Jay-Z and Beyoncé already has her own fleet of children's electric cars. In particular, her collection includes small copies of a luxury Cadillac in pink and a sporty Lamborghini in blue. And on her second birthday, Ivy received a real live pony as a gift from her parents.
Mercedes for son from P Diddy
Star dad P Diddy, and in real life Sean Combs, gave his son a Mercedes Maybach car for 360 thousand dollars when he turned sixteen. A year later, P. Diddy again gave his son a collectible limousine for his good academic performance.
Painting for daughter for $1,000,000
In the Beckham star family, the only daughter and the youngest of the children is growing up, so she is the most pampered. With her mother Victoria, baby Harper attends fashion shows and sits in the front row. And dad David once gave his daughter a painting called “Daddy’s Girl” for $1,000,000, which he ordered from the famous American artist Damien Hirst.
Pony as a gift
For their daughter Sonya’s fifth birthday, oligarch parents Pavel Te and Olga Karput gave her a purebred English pony, black as a coal. The mini-horse’s name is Khilin Shadow, but at home it’s simply Khilya.
Gold Nintendo Game Boy
One of the most popular portable toys, the Nintendo Game Boy, was created in 2006 from gold and diamonds of the highest standard by English jewelers Asprey. Rich parents could buy such a toy for their beloved children, no less, for 25 thousand dollars.
Tree house worth millions
In the West, it is customary to build tree houses for your children; this tradition does not bypass the children of billionaires. But their houses are huge and cost hundreds of times more. For example, a wealthy Englishman ordered a tree house for his children worth 6 million dollars.
Toy houses for children for several tens of thousands of dollars.
As children, we built huts using bedspreads, pillows and blankets, but for rich people everything is much more prosaic. Lilliput Play Homes is an American company that offered luxury houses in a smaller version, but with a kitchen, bedrooms, all the necessary furniture, etc. The house can be supplemented with other interior items at will for additional money. The cost of such “elite huts” can reach 20 thousand dollars.
Diamond pacifier
When daughter Shiloh Nouvel was born into the Jolie-Pitt family, the star parents gave her a platinum pacifier with diamonds. Of course, this pacifier is not intended for direct use, but is a very expensive souvenir that automatically becomes a good investment. But the real motives that prompted rich parents to make such a gift are unknown.
What gifts did the oligarchs give to Kolya Lukashenko: And what does Nikolai himself give?
Kolya Lukashenko
with his father Alexander, he visited many countries and met with various officials of the highest rank, including presidents and the Pope. And from time to time they give him different gifts. The Village Belarus recalled: what gifts were showered on the country's main child.

During the joint military exercises Zapad 2009, journalists photographed
Dmitry Medvedev
(then Russian President) and Kolya Lukashenko holding a golden pistol.
It turned out that this was a gift from Dmitry to the growing Nikolai. The President of Russia asked if Kolya liked the gift, the President of Belarus answered instead of his son: “It’s a good gun, because the President of Russia gave it to me.”

In 2010,
Alexander Lukashenko
went to Armenia, where he met with local oligarch
Gagik Tsarukyan
, owner of many enterprises, including the Ararat cognac factory.
And during a visit to the cognac factory, Tsarukyan presented a barrel of cognac, which was sealed and ordered to be opened on Nikolai Lukashenko’s wedding day. Moreover, Kolya himself poured several jugs into the barrel and hammered the cork. Well-known blogger Rustem Adagamov
, however, doubts that the barrel was sealed, because from time to time the cognac has to be added because it evaporates. Therefore, barrels are plugged with plugs, but never sealed.
2012: Air rifle from Santa Claus
In January 2013, Alexander Lukashenko answered questions from a journalist from the children's newspaper Zorka and, among other things, told what he gave his children for the New Year. It turned out that he left the elders - Victor and Dmitry - without gifts, but Nikolai got them. “The kid wrote a letter to Santa Claus and sent it by email! “Santa Claus” put a gift under the tree - an air gun, a rifle of some kind. Future special forces soldier. That's all". Lukashenko also mentioned that donated toys are usually given to the kindergarten where Kolya went, but books are an excellent gift. In general, Nikolai has accumulated a lot of weapons: in 2011, Alexander Lukashenko said that Kolya has an impressive arsenal of toy machine guns.

In 2020, the already mentioned Gagik Tsarukyan presented Kolya Lukashenko with white lions. The lions were placed in the Minsk Zoo and given the names Nik and Nika. It is curious that the zoo received only two lions, but Gagik gave Kolya four lions. Where the other two went is unknown. Armenian sources believe that Alexander Lukashenko could keep them. By the way, now in the description of the collection of the Minsk Zoo, judging by the data on the website, there are no white lions.

Soon the network noticed that the father and son were riding difficult bicycles. Kolya, for example, has a Canyon Aeroad that costs from 3.2 to 7.5 thousand euros. Presidential press secretary Natalya Eismont
said that the “great ones” were presented by Russian businessman and friend of Lukashenko,
Igor Makarov
. Makarov’s fortune is estimated at $2 billion; he owned the famous Itera corporation, which, among other things, tried to build the Minsk City complex on the site of the Minsk-1 airport.
2019: Bow and arrows from the former President of Kazakhstan
Most recently, in October, Alexander Lukashenko visited Kazakhstan, where he met with the country’s former president Nursultan Nazarbayev
. Lukashenko gave Nazarbayev a basket of food supplies, and in return received a dagger, a khan’s belt and a book by the Kazakh educator “Words of Edification.” And for Kolya Lukashenko, the ex-president handed over a Kazakh bow with a quiver and arrows.
And what did Kolya himself give?
There is hardly less evidence of Kolya Lukashenko himself giving gifts to someone than there is evidence of receiving gifts. Kolya presented valuable and memorable items to the Pope, presidents, veterans and ordinary children.

In the summer of 2013, Kolya visited St. Sophia Cathedral in Kyiv and after the tour donated a doll to the museum.
In 2014, Alexander and Nikolai went to Kiev for the inauguration of President Petro Poroshenko
, and Kolya presented Rada Speaker
Alexander Turchynov
with a voluminous package, the contents of which remained unknown.
In 2017, during a trip to China, Kolya gave the first lady Peng Liyuan
box.
In 2020, students of the Ostroshitsko-Gorodok school (Nikolai Lukashenko studies there) organized a concert and presented gifts for a sponsored boarding house for pensioners and disabled people. Kolya himself presented two lion-headed rabbits from the president’s farm, as well as honey.
In March of the same year, at the “Snow Sniper” competition for young biathletes, Kolya took 3rd place, after which he gave his gift certificate for 1,000 rubles to students of the Yazyl secondary school (Starodorozhsky district).
In April, Kolya and his dad presented Metropolitan Philaret with an Easter egg made from wood shavings using the Sozh filigree technique.
In May, in honor of Victory Day, Kolya donated 10 laying hens and a rooster to the boarding house farm. And in September they also brought watermelons and bags of potatoes.
In 2019, Kolya gave two Saanen goats to the residents of the same boarding school: Dusya and Vera.

Economist Aleksashenko on tax innovations: Putin gave his oligarchs a generous gift

Economist Sergei Aleksashenko commented on the recent speech of Russian President Vladimir Putin in the latest episode of the DOK program on his YouTube channel. In it, the head of state announced the introduction of a progressive income tax rate on incomes over five million per year.
The economist points out that in 2020 the president promised that after the VAT increase there would be no tax increases, but he did not keep his word. Aleksashenko is confident that the authorities will continue the policy of increasing the tax burden.
“The government needs money, so in March of this year it announced the introduction of a tax on household deposits, and now a second income tax rate of 15% is being introduced on incomes over five million,” explains the analyst.
Based on Rosstat data, Aleksashenko clarifies that there are about 500 thousand people with such incomes in Russia, but emphasizes that, in his opinion, there are more of them.
“The introduction of a tax on income from deposits and the introduction of a progressive income tax rate is a blow to high-income segments of the population,” the economist notes. He believes that these are the people who want to be independent from the state.
“Putin gave his oligarchs, his friends a gift of extraordinary generosity. And notice that almost no one talks about this. This is the introduction of a fixed payout in the amount of five million rubles from the income of all offshore companies,” Aleksashenko reminds of Putin’s words.
The economist considered that any Russian who has earned more than 40 million rubles abroad will benefit from the flat tax scheme of five million rubles proposed by the president. Then the income tax paid will be less than the income tax rate of 13%.
“These tax innovations demonstrate to us once again that Putin does not give offense to his own,” explains Aleksashenko.
This scheme, the economist emphasizes, is very beneficial to the oligarchs, who use companies operating outside of Russia to siphon off their income.
“Against this background, Putin’s statement that money from the introduction of a progressive scale of income tax (60 billion rubles) will be used to treat children looks ridiculous. This is said by the president of a country that over the past 20 years has received more than three million dollars from rising oil and gas prices, a country that over the past 20 years has spent 20 trillion rubles on the purchase and development of various weapons, which annually spends more than 750 billion rubles on the police, more than 250 billion rubles for the National Guard, more than 180 billion rubles for the Ministry of Emergency Situations. Reducing these expenses by five percent would provide the same 60 billion rubles for the treatment of children,” summarizes Aleksashenko.
