Salon and home spa facial treatments

The willingness to reveal a woman's main secret - the number of years lived - is demonstrated not only by the skin of the neck and décolleté (for more information on caring for this area, see Here). Also, age-related changes in the form of sagging, thinning, dehydration, and hyperpigmentation very readily appear on the skin of the hands.

The reasons are simple: the thickness of the tissues on the hands is 4-5 times less than on the face and body, and the number of sebaceous glands is reduced to a minimum. The dry residue leaves a very thin protective layer. And since the skin of the hands is not covered by clothing, aggressive environmental influences, weather conditions, and frequent contact with water and household chemicals are added to the list of early aging provocateurs.

“The skin of the hands is most susceptible to temperature changes and the action of irritating substances,” dermatologist-cosmetologist Tatyana Gerasimova explains to me. “It’s almost as soft as the skin around the eyes.” But hands, unlike the face, cannot be rejuvenated with the help of plastic surgery or hardware cosmetology.”

Accordingly, it is easier to carefully care for it than to correct something later. And not only for women: chapped, flaky male hands instantly take away a hundred points of attractiveness from their owner.

Wear gloves

The survey showed: only three out of 20 people wash dishes and clean the house using rubber gloves, and only half use moisturizer. Meanwhile, the skin of the hands has very little subcutaneous fatty tissue and sebaceous glands - this means that the mechanisms of restoration and hydration in it work very poorly. On the contrary, there are a lot of sweat glands - so it quickly loses moisture.

Remember foreign films and TV series: not a single woman there will start cleaning or washing dishes without wearing rubber gloves, and sometimes even cotton ones underneath.

Because no matter how gentle the composition of household chemicals is (even if you wash pots and pans exclusively with sand and soda, and wash them with lye obtained from ash), chlorinated tap water leads to dehydration of the skin of your hands. Please note that you cannot stay in rubber gloves for more than 5 minutes, as your hands begin to sweat and this dehydrates the skin. Wear cotton gloves soaked in nourishing cream made from natural products inside.

Ordinary gloves should become your constant companions at the slightest cold snap, because wind and temperature changes will cause peeling and redness. Ideally, protect your hand skin with accessories in any weather. Women in Asia do just that: in the summer, they wear lace gloves to avoid the appearance of age spots due to UV rays.

Dear women, admit it, which of you follows this advice? Who-who? …. And silence... You can only hear timid coughing and shuffling of your feet... Every time we give ourselves our honest, honest word, we hang our gloves in a visible and accessible place - and we remind, we remind, we remind... But things are still there.

What to do? As psychologists say, a habit is developed in 21 days. We suffer, forcing ourselves to put on gloves for just three weeks, and that’s it, dishwashing detergents will no longer corrode our delicate hands... I don’t think many people believe the words of cleaning product manufacturers that the very same products that They clean the thickest, oldest, and similar grease from dishes until they squeak—they also carefully care for the skin of our hands. Either clean dishes or soft and gentle hands.

To accustom yourself to gloves, use, for example, this method - before putting them on, you need to apply a thick caring cream to your hands. It turns out that when you wash dishes with gloves on which the cream is applied, a kind of sauna effect occurs: from hot water and lack of air access, the skin of your hands absorbs the beneficial substances from the cream faster and more efficiently. About the same thing happens during salon procedures with paraffin baths. And here, at the same time, time is saved - pleasantly and usefully.

If the temptation to forget about gloves is stronger, then you can use another psychological technique - to bring the situation almost to the point of absurdity in your imagination... Imagine how this wonderful, tasty-smelling and effective washing product actually affects your hands - how poor they are, shrink in horror when a washing sponge with foam appears nearby, how the skin of the hands is instantly covered with a network of wrinkles, cracks appear on it, reminiscent of desert soil, how every cell groans from the fact that the protective layer is literally torn off from it, and it is left alone in the face of the enemy! If you awaken your imagination, then very soon you won’t need to remind yourself about the gloves - your hands will reach for them themselves.

Scrubbing

Few products are better for cleansing and rejuvenating the skin than scrubs. They help remove the top layer of dead skin, renew it and remove dead cells that make it difficult to restore the top layer of the epidermis. Peels help not only cleanse, but also nourish and moisturize the skin, as they help open pores and make the effects of creams, oils and lotions many times more effective.

Here you have the same freedom of action as with masks - you can select scrubs in cosmetic stores according to the needs of your skin, or you can make them yourself. It is important to consider the immediate needs of the skin at a particular moment, since at different times of the year priority should be given to different products. In winter, more nutrition and restoration are needed, while in summer the skin is critically lacking in moisture.

The best homemade scrubs are made from coffee, salt and cane sugar. These are fairly large abrasive particles that can be mixed with essential oils, yogurt or sour cream, and gruel, such as bananas and avocados. It all depends only on your imagination. The beauty of these scrubs is that not only are they a wonderful at-home spa item, but they also allow you to completely control the composition and quality of the ingredients and do not contain any toxins or harmful additives.

Use hand cosmetics

Choose hand care products depending on the season: moisturizing in summer, nourishing in winter.

Cream. The basis of its formula is usually water, glycerin, lanolin, vitamins A, C, E. Optional - plant extracts and oils. The main condition is to use the cream daily. Apply it in smooth circular movements from your fingertips to your elbows, massaging each area of the skin well. Leave until completely absorbed. This will improve microcirculation and keep your hands youthful.

The frequency of hand cream application is as required. Keep a tube of cream at home, at work, or in your purse. Did you feel like your skin was tight? Take out immediately and apply in the required amount. For those who do not have problems with dryness, a portion of the cream at night is enough.

Oil. Light oils, such as grape seed oil, can be applied every day to prevent age-related changes in the skin of the hands. Thicker shea or cedar butter - only if needed. Due to its texture, it is better to include oil in night care.

Mask. This is a concentrated product, so use it no more than 1-2 times a week. To increase the effectiveness of the mask, wear cotton gloves over it; this will enhance the penetration of the components due to the sauna effect. It is important to follow the time specified in the instructions.

Mask-glove . A special case of a mask is a glove, the inner layer of which is impregnated with a moisturizing lotion or essence based on collagen and hyaluronic acid, aloe and cucumber juice, extracts of chamomile, rose hips and other medicinal plants. Apply 1-2 times a week, leave on hands for no longer than 20-30 minutes.

Scrub . They often have a jelly texture, and the seeds of raspberries, blackberries, and cranberries act as abrasive particles. It is recommended to use a hand scrub no more than once a week. Apply to damp skin with massage movements for 2-3 minutes, rinse with warm water.

Aromatherapy

The most elusive and yet the most effective relaxing part of a spa is the aromas. The effect of odors on humans has been used throughout human history, starting with Ancient China and Egypt. Aromatherapy is an important part of recovery from severe stressful situations, so its impact should not be underestimated.

The most effective mediators in this case are aroma diffusers and scented candles. For them, you can choose different essential oils depending on your preferences and the effect you want to achieve. For example, herbal and floral scents promote relaxation and improve cognitive abilities, lower and woody notes have a good effect on the quality of sleep, and various fresh scents help relieve stress and anxiety.

You can use aroma diffusers both in the bathroom during spa treatments and in everyday life, in the car or in the office - their effect will be equally beneficial.

Spa treatments at home are not something incredible or extraordinary. Combined with a relaxing bath, proper nutrition and enough healthy sleep, they will give exactly the same effect as treatments in the salon. Self-care is a key factor in daily activity and a direct source of energy for growth and personal development. Therefore, creating a spa at home is easy and convenient; the main thing is to find your own approach and your own set of procedures that will provide you with the best care.

Home Remedies Recipes

I offer several simple and very useful recipes for hand care at home.

  • Fortification. After washing your hands, you can rub a few drops of lemon juice into the skin - it has a brightening effect and contains vitamin C. Cucumber and aloe juice are also suitable for these purposes.
  • Baths . Once a week, pamper your hand skin with a bath of sea salt (a tablespoon per liter of water), or with aromatic herbs (lavender, mint, lemon balm, sage), or with 1-2 drops of essential oil (rosemary, mint). You can make baths from warm milk with spices. The procedure time is 5-7 minutes.
  • Peeling . Mix a tablespoon of fine sea salt or sugar with the same amount of any vegetable oil and honey. Apply the resulting mixture to the skin of your hands with light massage movements.
  • Wrap . Mix a tablespoon of cottage cheese with an equal amount of strongly brewed green tea, a teaspoon of olive oil and a small amount of lemon zest. Apply to skin, cover with cling film, leave for 10-20 minutes.

Five home spa products you can make yourself

1. Bath salt

Baths with salt help relax the body, moisturize, remove toxins, rejuvenate, give freshness and a good mood. The effect depends on the use of extracts and excipients.

To prepare salt you will need:

  • 1 cup coarse sea salt;
  • 1/2 cup table salt;
  • 1/2 cup baking soda;
  • 1/2 cup citric acid or zest;
  • 1/2 cup of filler (you can add flower petals, flavors, extracts and essential oils, crushed dried herbs, milk powder);
  • jar with lid and wooden spoon.

Preparation:

Step 1: Combine two types of salt in a large bowl. Then add baking soda and citric acid to the mixture. Mix until smooth.

Step 2. Add fillers, mix.

Step 3. Add essential oil to the mixture. Its proportions should not exceed 10 drops per 100 grams of mixture.

Step 4. Mix the mixture thoroughly and leave in a covered bowl for two to three hours. Then the salt must be shaken several times and transferred to a jar. Store in a tightly closed jar in a dry place.

2. Bomb

A bomb is a ball that hisses as it dissolves in water. Thanks to this effect, the bombs give pleasant sensations and pleasure from water procedures.

To prepare the bomb you will need:

  • 300 grams of baking soda;
  • 150 grams of citric acid;
  • 5-10 ml of essential or aromatic oil of your choice;
  • 5 ml of base oil (sunflower, olive, grape, sweet almond);
  • food coloring of the desired color;
  • spherical shapes, but you can use baking or ice cube trays.

Preparation:

Step 1. Sift citric acid and baking soda through a sieve to oxygenate the dry mixture and get rid of lumps. Mix these ingredients thoroughly.

Step 2. In another bowl, mix oils and food coloring. Please note that you should not mix essential and aromatic oils together.

Step 3. Gradually pour liquid into the dry mixture. Stir constantly until a homogeneous mixture is formed. To achieve the desired consistency of the mass, you can add a teaspoon of water or spray the mixture with water from a spray bottle. The mixture should be crushed in your hands like a snowball.

Step 4. Decorate the bottom of the mold with lavender petals or a mixture of other dried herbs. Consider decorating with a bomb filler to enhance the effect of the oils, but not to oppose them to each other.

Step 5. Fill both forms with the mixture, carefully compacting them to remove any air voids. Fill the form with the resulting mass and compact it thoroughly. Connect the shapes into a ball.

Step 6. Bombs in the mold dry for 10 hours. However, the duration is justified by the effect of this cosmetic product. Remember: the fresher the bomb, the better and more active it will fizz.

3. Body scrub

Do you want to feel the softness and tenderness of your skin? Then try a natural body scrub recipe and prepare your skin for further pleasant treatments.

To prepare a sugar scrub you will need:

  • jar with lid;
  • 1/2 cup crystal sugar;
  • 10 tablespoons of coconut oil;
  • vanilla essence;
  • food coloring if you are not using unrefined sugar.

Preparation:

Step 1. Fill the jar 3/4 full with crystalline sugar.

Step 2: Add coconut oil to fill the jar. Mix everything thoroughly with a spoon

Step 3: Add 5 drops of vanilla extract. If you are using white refined sugar, you can add a few drops of food coloring. But you should not overuse it, as the dye can leave a colored pigment on the skin.

Step 4. Mix everything thoroughly. Ready to use!

4. Nourishing hair mask

Homemade hair masks are no less effective than professional products for caring for the main instrument of female beauty. Oil-based masks are especially popular, as they are easy to prepare, affordable, and suitable for almost all hair types.

To prepare the mask you will need:

  • 1 tablespoon castor oil;
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil;
  • 1 yolk.

Mix the oils in a bowl, then pour in the yolk. Rub the prepared mixture over the entire length of the hair and leave for 30-40 minutes under a shower cap. Then rinse thoroughly with warm water and shampoo. The procedure must be repeated 1-2 times a week for a month. Restorative procedures can be repeated after each calendar season.

5. Wrapping mixture

Chocolate wrap nourishes and moisturizes the skin, promotes the breakdown of subcutaneous fat. This is a pleasant and aromatic procedure. We offer a recipe for the easiest to prepare, but no less effective mixture.

To prepare the mixture you will need:

  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder;
  • 1 cup hot water;
  • 3-5 drops of orange oil;
  • cling film.

Mix the ingredients until a homogeneous creamy mass is obtained. Apply the chocolate mixture to the body and immediately wrap with cling film. Then you need to wrap yourself in a blanket and lie down for 40 minutes. After this, rinse the mixture with warm water. After the procedure, the skin becomes tender and soft, so there is no need to lubricate it with cream.

Options for spa hand care recipes at home

Do a home spa treatment for your hands two to three times a week. It consists of the same steps as for the face: steaming, intensive cleansing, moisturizing.

Let's try to add some variety to the long-familiar hand care. Let's not have our head in the clouds - few of us have the opportunity, time and desire to arrange a full-fledged SPA manicure with a bath of rose petals, milk from a young donkey and other similar joys of life. But making hand care more enjoyable, varied and useful - without increasing financial costs - is very simple. I offer three excellent ready-made scripts to choose from.

Efficiency

Under the influence of unfavorable environmental factors, skin deprived of daily care gradually becomes thinner, dull and dry. In addition, the face begins to swell, and signs of irritation appear more and more often. In order to quickly get rid of these unpleasant changes, facial spa treatments are performed. With their help it is possible to:

  • Help normalize metabolism.
  • Increase access to oxygen to the skin due to improved blood supply.
  • Accelerate the elimination of toxins.
  • Cleanse pores.
  • Remove dark circles under the eyes.
  • Give skin elasticity and smoothness.
  • Eliminate shallow wrinkles.
  • Even out the tone and tighten the oval of the face.

This facial treatment is also very popular due to the pleasant sensations that a woman experiences during the session.

It is worth noting that if it is not possible to constantly carry out salon procedures, then a properly performed SPA at home is no less effective.

Hand skin care: relieve fatigue

1. Bath: add three drops each of rosemary and menthol oil, a tablespoon of olive oil to warm water. Immerse your hands and steam for five to seven minutes.

2. Exfoliation: Mix two tablespoons of sea salt, a drop of tea tree oil and two tablespoons of coconut (or vegetable) oil. Massage one hand in turn with the other, moving from the wrist to the fingertips. Rinse thoroughly with warm water.

3. Mask: mix one grated apple, two tablespoons of olive oil, a teaspoon of softened Vaseline and a drop of camphor or menthol oil. Lubricate your hands generously, leave for 10 minutes, then rinse. Finally, apply moisturizer.

Wide range of procedures:

  • Anticellulite massage;
  • Lymphatic drainage massage;
  • Honey massage;

  • Stone massage;
  • Modeling and correction.

Hand skin care: moisturize and soothe

1. Bath: slightly warm two cups of milk, mix with the same volume of warm water. Add a pinch of cinnamon and two tablespoons of olive oil. Immerse your hands in the mixture and hold for 10 minutes.

2. Peeling: mix two tablespoons of sugar, a tablespoon of sunflower oil, a pinch of soda, a tablespoon of rose water. Massage your hands, then rinse.

3. Mask: mix one egg yolk, a tablespoon of jojoba oil, a tablespoon of coconut oil, a teaspoon of honey. Lubricate your hands thoroughly, rinse after 10 minutes and apply grape seed oil.

These, of course, are not all options, but I guarantee: thoughtful home spa care for your hands perfectly relaxes and relieves fatigue, and throughout the body.

And further…

Avoid washing your hands with too hot water and always dry them thoroughly. An abundance of moisture disrupts the water-lipid balance of the skin, and with temperature changes (for example, from home to outside), wet hands instantly turn red and begin to peel.

When washing your hands, it is better to use natural soap that does not contain harmful substances. Do not rub your hands too much, even if they are very dirty, it is better to wipe them with a small amount of lemon juice.

After each wash, dry your hands thoroughly, and do not be lazy to lubricate your hands with moisturizer to soften the skin and strengthen your nails. Use a nourishing hand cream morning and evening. Each time you use the cream, massage your hands and nails.

Drink more water and take vitamins A, C, E (of course, after consulting with your doctor). They act as antioxidants, preventing the destruction of collagen fibers and the appearance of age spots - one of the main problems for hands. Based on materials from lady.mail.ru, www.jv.ru

And most importantly! To care for the skin of your hands and nails, buy natural products and high-quality manicure accessories. Don't skimp on yourself!

Hand skin care

Long before the word spa and the opening of fashionable salons and resorts, women knew how to take care of their faces. They had no idea about any exotic plants, but used what was around them: milk from their cows, wild plants that were collected in fields and meadows, fruits and vegetables that grew in the farmstead, clay taken from village Tested for centuries, the recipes were passed from mothers to daughters. Many of them are used today in spa treatments. By combining traditional and modern methods, you can perfectly carry out spa treatments based on your conditions. There are a great many such recipes, they are quite simple and cheap. If you don't have extra money to visit a spa, this doesn't mean your path to beauty is closed. Try the recipes we offer and see for yourself.

The main stages of the spa procedure:

- steaming the face (it is imperative to prepare the face for manipulation - hold it over hot water with herbs or scented oils to open the skin pores);

— cleansing with a scrub (the goal is to remove dead skin particles, deeply cleanse it of dirt);

— massage (necessary to relax the facial muscles and stimulate blood circulation);

— mask (direct effect on the skin of nutrients, saturating it with vitamins and minerals, whitening, improving structure);

- applying cream (the final stage is moisturizing after the procedure)

Spa facial treatments

  1. Steam bath . Add a handful of chamomile and mint mixture to a container of boiling water. Cool to a tolerable temperature and, covering your head with a towel, lean over the hot water for 10 minutes.
  2. Peeling (scrubbing). You can use a ready-made scrub cream, but if you don’t have it at the moment, it’s also not a problem. Make it yourself from soap and salt. Beat the soap into a thick foam with a shaving brush, add a pinch of fine table salt and massage your face with light movements for several minutes with this mixture. Wash your face with warm water. Not a single black dot will remain in the pores of the skin.
  3. Mask . You can choose it for your skin in the store. But a homemade mask works just as well. It may consist of several ingredients or just one. It is important to take into account the characteristics of the skin so as not to cause harm. Here are some of them.

From cucumber. Suitable for any skin. Grind the cucumber on a fine grater and mix with egg white.

From carrots. Mix grated carrots with a teaspoon of olive oil or milk and add a little starch. Suitable for oily skin covered with acne.

From berries. Make a paste from the berries you have on hand (strawberries, raspberries, red currants), add honey, cream or egg white. During this procedure, it is advisable not to run around the apartment with your face smeared, but not because you will scare your household with your appearance, but because relaxed skin absorbs nutrients better. Lie quietly for 20 minutes.

  1. Massage . It can be made with sliced tomato, cucumber, and melon pulp. Massage your face with gentle circular movements for 3-5 minutes, rinse with warm water.
  2. Apply the moisturizer you usually use to your face.

Spa treatments also include eye care . This:

- washing the eyes with an infusion of strong tea;

- linden blossom and chamomile lotions;

- compresses from sage infusion;

- masks made from grated raw potatoes or parsley leaves.

Such procedures help maintain the shine of the eyes, eliminate swelling of the eyelids, and relieve inflammation.

Of course, spa treatments require time. But when you feel that you are irritated for no reason, everything is falling out of your hands and life has become black and white, put aside what you are doing and pay attention to yourself. After a spa treatment, you will see your well-groomed, beautiful face and feel a new surge of strength.
