Maxim was born on June 18, 1976 in the Moscow region in the town of Naro-Fominsk. Dad - Alexander Alexandrovich served as Colonel General of the armored forces, was the head of the Main Armored Directorate of the Ministry of Defense. He was also later elected as a deputy of the State Duma of the second convocation. The comedian’s mother, Natalya Grigorievna, a candidate of sciences in physics and mathematics, worked all her life as an honorary employee at the Research Institute for the Theory of Earthquake Forecasting of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Maxim's nationality is Russian.
Since childhood, Maxim and his parents often moved. When he was three years old, the family left for Germany. Later the family moved to Odessa, my mother’s homeland. There the boy completed his first three grades. Then the family left for Transbaikalia, and the young man already graduated from school in Moscow.

The young artist did not miss a single school performance. Even then, the boy learned the basics of theatrical art, honed his acting skills, and came up with jokes and scripts.
So, in the 6th grade, he organized his first creative evening, where he organized a puppet theater. Maxim voiced the puppets himself. As it turned out, this helped him a lot when he later began voicing roles in films.
At the age of 13, the young man discovered his talent as a parodist. He was inspired by Khazanov’s performance with a parody of Secretary General Mikhail Gorbachev. Then Maxim decided to try to parody the same role himself. It turned out great. This became the starting point of the young comedian.
The young man grew and developed in creativity. His parents supported him in every possible way. Maxim went to a children's art studio and was interested in zoology. But one day he saw a cut-up dove in biology class. This marked the end of his interest in this area.
After receiving basic general education, the graduate enters the philological department of the Russian State University for the Humanities. There he studies languages, completes graduate school and defends his Ph.D. dissertation. This ended the scientific career of a promising specialist.

Maxim Galkin also tried himself as an actor. In 2000, he participated in a documentary film dedicated to the anniversary of Gennady Khazanov. He starred in Yeralash, in the films “Bless the Woman”, “Chasing Two Hares”, “First Ambulance”, “First at Home”, “Kings Can Do Anything”. I also managed to take part in advertising. Then he decided to continue his studies by entering graduate school, and even began writing a dissertation, but in 2009 he decided to leave graduate school. He has perfectly studied and speaks 6 languages fluently: Czech, French, Spanish, German, English, Church Slavonic.
The beginning of a creative journey
Even during his studies, Maxim Galkin became interested in studying languages, quite successfully, but at the same time, creative ideas did not leave him. His first performance for the general public took place back in 1994, for which the stage of the Moscow State University Student Theater was chosen, the parody number was called “Fountains of Love for Your Neighbor.”
Next, the aspiring artist was invited to take part in a performance at the Variety Theater with a parody number. Parodies were invented for popular politicians such as Yeltsin, Putin, Zhirinovsky. There were several such performances, and the young man was noticed by artistic director Boris Brunov. Talent is difficult to hide, so Galkin was invited to work at the Variety Theater, they were ready to accept him into the cast. Successful performances began, after which Galkin was offered a tour of Russian cities with the star of Russian parodists, Mikhail Zadornov. The tour lasted about a year and a half.
