Does Vera Brezhnev have AIDS? Vera Brezhnev saves her eldest daughter from HIV. HIV-infected celebrities in Russia: famous people living with HIV

Vera Viktorovna Kiperman (maiden name Galushka ; better known under the pseudonym Vera Brezhneva ; born 1982) is a Ukrainian singer, actress, TV presenter, ex-member of the pop group “VIA Gra” (2003-2007). UN Goodwill Ambassador for HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS program).

There are many interesting facts in the biography of Vera Brezhneva, which we will discuss in this article.

So, here is a short biography of Vera Galushka.

Biography of Vera Brezhneva

Vera Brezhneva (Galushka) was born on February 3, 1982 in the Ukrainian city of Dneprodzerzhinsk. She grew up and was brought up in a simple family that had nothing to do with show business.

Her father, Viktor Mikhailovich, worked as an engineer at a chemical plant. Mother, Tamara Vitalievna, had a medical education, working at the same plant.

In addition to Vera, three more girls were born in the Galushka family: Galina and twins - Victoria and Anastasia. During her school years, the future artist showed great interest in sports.

Vera was interested in basketball, handball and rhythmic gymnastics. In addition, she went to karate. Parents hired tutors for their daughter who taught her foreign languages. It is curious that at this time in her biography she dreamed of becoming a lawyer.

With the onset of the summer holidays, the girl worked at Zelenstroy, taking care of the flower beds, and in the evenings she worked as a nanny. After receiving the certificate, Vera entered the correspondence department of the local Institute of Railway Engineers, choosing the specialty of economist.

"VIA Gra"

In the summer of 2002, a significant event occurred in Brezhneva’s biography. Then the popular group “VIA Gra” came to Dnepropetrovsk (now Dnepr) to perform. When Vera found out about this, she decided to go to the concert.

During the performance, the group addressed the fans and invited everyone to sing the song with them on stage. Without hesitation, Vera “accepted the challenge” and within a couple of minutes was next to the team. An interesting fact is that together with the members of VIA Gra she performed the hit “Attempt No. 5”.

The producer of the group, Dmitry Kostyuk, drew attention to a beautiful girl with good vocal abilities. In the fall of the same year, Vera was invited to a casting for the group, which Alena Vinnitskaya was then about to leave.

As a result, a simple girl managed to pass the casting and become a new member of the trio. Already in January of the following year, VIA Gra was presented with a new line-up: Anna Sedakova, Nadezhda Granovskaya and Vera Brezhneva. By the way, Kostyuk suggested taking the pseudonym “Brezhnev” to Vera.

This was due to the fact that the surname “Galushka” was not entirely harmonious for the artist. In addition, the former head of the USSR Leonid Brezhnev worked in Dneprodzerzhinsk for a long time.

Vera remained a constant member of the group for over 4 years. During this time, she gained a lot of experience and became one of the most popular singers on the national stage. She made the decision to leave VIA Gro at the end of 2007.

Vera Brezhneva laughed in front of HIV patients

In 2014, Vera Brezhneva became the official UN Goodwill Ambassador on HIV/AIDS. At an international event dedicated to this difficult topic, the singer behaved rather strangely: she laughed and took a selfie.

Vera Brezhneva tirelessly talked in interviews about how responsibly she takes this mission, but it turned out that the artist fulfills her duties in a very unique way.

“I am organizing a series of charity events “Together we will save the world” to help people with HIV/AIDS and prevent the spread of this disease in Russia. On January 20, the millionth case of HIV infection was recorded in our country. To attract the attention of the younger generation to this problem, I turned to pop artists popular among young people. Many immediately agreed to participate in our events, absolutely free of charge. Among them are singer MakSim, rapper Timati, singer Mitya Fomin, participants in the TV show “The Voice” from the production center of Grigory Leps. Problems arose only with the singer Vera Brezhneva,” producer Ruslan Gatin, who heads the trade union organization of show business workers, began the story.

The star’s assistants did not contact Gatin directly with her, and then completely refused to participate in the project, explaining that the performer did not have a minute of free time.

Nevertheless, Ruslan saw Vera at the Fifth International Conference on Combating HIV/AIDS in Eastern Europe and Central Asia. The event was chaired by Gennady Onishchenko, assistant to the Prime Minister of Russia, former chief sanitary doctor.

“Brezhneva came out and said that she was very concerned about the problem of HIV/AIDS, that this problem was close to her, that she was teaching her daughter how to properly protect herself so as not to get infected.

“Unfortunately, the Russian government does not allocate adequate funds to fight HIV/AIDS and sometimes even hinders this fight,” she concluded her speech. Her words outraged everyone. In fact, the government pays a lot of attention to this topic. It looks like Brezhnev didn’t even bother to study the issue,” Gatin noted.

Further more. “Many people were also offended by her behavior during the presentation of certificates. She laughed continuously and took selfies right on stage. In general, I behaved like I was at a party in a nightclub. Meanwhile, the conference was attended by HIV-infected activists, for whom the issue of life or death was being decided. And her fun was, to put it mildly, inappropriate,” Express Newspaper quotes Ruslan.

The producer was never able to communicate with the singer - her assistants and security guards did not let her in, and Brezhneva left the conference before the end. Gatin emphasized that he was ready to pay for the performance.

“We did not offer her to participate in our project for nothing. Our sponsors were ready to pay her something. Apparently, this money did not suit her,” he stated.

Solo career

After leaving the team, Vera Brezhneva took up a solo career. In 2007, she was recognized as the sexiest woman in Russia according to Maxim magazine. The following year, she shot videos for the songs “I Don’t Play” and “Nirvana,” which gained great fame.

A few months later, Brezhnev presented another hit, “Love in the Big City,” which was at the top of the charts for a long time. In subsequent years, she repeatedly performed songs in duets with famous artists, including Potap, Dan Balan, DJ Smash and others.

In 2010, Vera Brezhneva’s debut album “Love will save the world” was released. It featured 13 compositions, many of which were already familiar to her fans. An interesting fact is that that year she was awarded the Golden Gramophone award for the first time for the track “Love will save the world.”

In 2011, the publication “Viva” recognized Brezhnev as “The most beautiful girl in Ukraine.” At the same time, the singer pleased fans with the new hit “Real Life”, and later with the songs “Insomnia” and “Love at a Distance”.

In 2013, a video for the song “Good Day” was released. It is curious that the author of the text and music was Vera Brezhneva. In subsequent years, the singer presented such hits as “Good Morning” and “My Girl.”

In 2020, the release of Brezhneva’s 2nd studio album entitled “Ververa” was announced. Perhaps the most unexpected song was “Moon,” which the girl performed in a duet with Alexander Revva (Artur Pirozhkov). Later, several videos were shot for Vera’s songs, including “Number 1”, Close People”, “You are my man”, “I am not a saint” and others.

Over the years of her creative biography, the ex-member of VIA Gra has shot dozens of video clips and received many prestigious awards. As of 2020, she is the owner of 6 Golden Gramophones, which speaks of the artist’s talent and the great demand for her songs.

Two years ago, former member of the VIA Gra group and current wife of producer Konstantin MELADZE, Vera BREZHNEVA, known for her complicated relationships with her many husbands and lovers, unexpectedly became the official UN Goodwill Ambassador on HIV/AIDS issues. Since then, she has tirelessly talked in all interviews about how responsibly she takes this mission and how much effort and time she spends fighting this scourge of humanity. However, it turned out that the popular artist actually performs her duties in a very unique way.

Some considered the behavior of the ex-soloist of VIA Gra to be false.

“I am organizing a series of charity events “Together we will save the world” to help people with HIV/AIDS and prevent the further spread of this disease in Russia,” producer Ruslan Gatin, who heads the trade union organization of show business workers, told us. “I know firsthand how serious this problem is. I am a doctor by training. And my thesis was devoted to providing dispensary care to HIV-infected patients. On January 20, the millionth case of HIV infection was recorded in our country. To attract the attention of the younger generation to this problem, I turned to pop artists popular among young people. Many immediately agreed to participate in our events. And absolutely free of charge. Among them are singer MakSim, rapper Timati, singer Mitya Fomin, participants in the TV show “The Voice” from the production center of Grigory Leps. Problems arose only with the Ukrainian singer Vera Brezhneva.

Although participation in such events is her responsibility as the UN Goodwill Ambassador on HIV/AIDS.

When I tried to contact Brezhneva, her director and PR woman refused to connect with her directly. And they sent me to UNAIDS, the UN international organization to combat HIV/AIDS. I talked for a long time with Brezhneva’s representative in this organization, Snezhana and her assistants. In the end, they gave me the following answer: “Vera Brezhneva is currently and in the near future busy touring Central Asia and participating in some important events. She doesn’t have a minute of free time to take part in your project.”

Admitting that something might not have been conveyed to Brezhneva, I still wanted to meet her in person. And such an opportunity soon presented itself. From 23 to 25 March, I attended the 5th International Conference on HIV/AIDS in Eastern Europe and Central Asia, organized by UNAIDS. It was moderated by Gennady Onishchenko, assistant to the Prime Minister of Russia, former chief sanitary doctor. One day Brezhnev appeared there.

Before she appeared on stage, some bearded guy ran out and announced that the singer would now be presenting certificates for scientific work on the topic of HIV/AIDS. “Who is this young man? - Onishchenko was surprised. “Why is he leading our conference?” It turned out that this was a representative of Brezhnev. He was confused and began to make absurd excuses to Gennady Grigorievich.

After this, Brezhneva came out and said that she was very concerned about the problem of HIV/AIDS, that this problem was close to her, and that she was teaching her daughter how to properly protect herself so as not to become infected. “Unfortunately, the Russian government does not allocate adequate funds to fight HIV/AIDS and sometimes even hinders this fight,” she concluded her speech. Her words outraged everyone.

Ruslan GATIN

In fact, our government pays a lot of attention to this topic. It seems that Brezhnev did not even bother to study the issue. Many were also offended by her behavior during the presentation of certificates. She laughed continuously and took selfies right on stage. In general, I behaved like I was at a party in a nightclub.

Meanwhile, the conference was attended by HIV-infected activists, for whom the issue of life or death was being decided. And her fun was, to put it mildly, inappropriate. When Brezhneva left the stage, Onishchenko very correctly said: “Now let’s start working!” And everyone reacted to his words with unanimous applause.

Unfortunately, I was never able to communicate with the singer. Representatives of the event and security guards did not allow anyone to approach her. And she flew away very quickly, without even waiting for the end of the conference. At the same time, she has enough time for all sorts of dubious parties and get-togethers with oligarchs.

Literally a few days later, photographs appeared on the Internet in which Brezhneva was captured on March 31, lighting up in Italy at the birthday party of the Ukrainian oligarch Alexander Onishchenko. I made inquiries about how much her performance cost. All the promoters told me the same figure - 2.5 million rubles.

We also did not offer her to participate in our project for nothing. Our sponsors were ready to pay her something. Apparently, this money did not suit her. Of course, it is Brezhneva’s right to choose where they pay more. But why then say false words that she supposedly wants to convey information about HIV/AIDS to people and help solve this problem?!
